Logitech G13 USB Advanced Gameboard

Pros: I have tried all the game pads except the new and expensive Razer Orbweaver. This is the best of them all and has the most buttons. It takes some getting used to but once you do its awesome.

Cons: The only issue i have had is occasionally it will not load a profile when I run a game. I have to alt tab out and shut down the program and start it back up to get it to work. Doent happen that often but its annoying.

Other Thoughts: Have purchased 2 of these, the second was a gift to a friend.

Pros: = ) pretty easy to program with included software
= ) thumb joystick
= ) improves PC gaming immensely over just plain keyboard

Cons: : ( its just plain to large and bulky to put on lap where I like to use it
: ( as others have said, HAD TO REPLACE DUE TO CHEAPLY MADE USB CABLE

Other Thoughts: Nice to see Newegg has a sale going on because I have to replace this thing due to the usb cable connection right where it terminates inside the device wearing out and shorting out the wires it is supposed to be protecting!!

Pros: there is just too much to list about this color can change with each profile works with tons of games can program all keys the way you like has way more features than it needs but that a plus if it ever breaks I will be buying another

Cons: it has a usb cord :(

Other Thoughts: the applets are nice displays media player info while minimized and displays game info and other things if your thinking about getting it just do it glad I did

Pros: While it works, it is the best product out there.

Cons: The cord near the USB connector wears out, causing the product to short out. Had two of these with the same problem.

Other Thoughts: This product is very flimsy near the USB port. I have purchased two of these exact models, and each one had this issue. Now, Logitech will not stand behind the warranty for it because the PID number is on a sticker that has worn off. I am not trying to scam them, I simply want my product I spent 80 dollars on TWICE to work. I spoke to a manager, and a customer service rep, and neither was willing to assist me. Going to buy Razer products from now on.

Pros: Over 22 buttons. Different buttons for selecting mode than the actual game buttons. Lots of plug-ins for the LCD screen. Joystick pushes down for a button (most people use it for jump, n52te does not have this).

Cons: Software leaves a lot to be desired. The new G13 relies on software to interpret key strokes (way to jump back 13-14 years software team)! You can expect G13 software to lock up if you are using it for rapid fire.

Other Thoughts: Older G13 and current n52te software programmed the pad itself. n52te can be plugged into just about any computer and use standard usb keyboard drivers. I have 4 of both the n52te and G13 (Myself + 3 kids computers). The G13 is far better game pad IMO but I hope they revert to the older software style.

Pros: Plenty of programmable keys
Software is straight forward and pretty easy to use
LED screen is a big plus
Backlighting is nice
Price isn't bad

Cons: It is massive. I can't use it because it is way too big for my hand.
Hand continually cramps up from fingers being spread so far apart trying to use it.
Wrist / Palm rest feels like a very odd angle to me. This could also have to do with the smaller size of my hand, but my wrist constantly cramps up while trying to play with this as well.

Other Thoughts: I put it back in the box and it is sitting on my dresser. If your hands are big enough for this thing, you'll love it. If you have smaller hands, you're better off with the Razer Nostromo (or the newer Razer Orbweaver) instead.

Pros: great layout. most button options of any hand held game pad, has the patended logitech screens and works with all the same software, so you cna run the same stuff you run on your logitech keyboard.

Cons: the layout is extremley new, takes some time. the keys are layed out very close though, your playing at 75% efficiancy withint an hour of using. only a slightly different offset depending on what kind of keyboards your used to.

their is no multi key pressing support, so when you press to many keys you will end up canceling your commands and nothing might happen. this is the ONLY downside i perosnly don't like about this unit.

Other Thoughts: logitech may streamline their ideas, but their quality is never outdone by any of the gaming companys out their. they deliever results.

Pros: It honestly replaces the whole keyboard (without being able to type) The Logitech presets (with a little adjustments) Is perfect it fits wonderfully with the games and isn't a burden of space

Cons: I had to take one of the base pads off and re apply it just because the whole thing would rock back and forth other than that non

Pros: Well built, most keys are working*, fits my big hand better than I expected, the thumb stick is surprisingly useful for some games, multi-color LED's, contoured (not flat), rubberized grip holds palm in place, and the applets are useful also.

Cons: G16 key is non-functioning, and reddish orange LED's for the M keys on board (just annoys me that they aren't multi-colored but oh well), and software can be somewhat annoying to use but easy to bypass the annoyingness.

Other Thoughts: I got this board off craigslist in near mint condition for 25 bucks with everything working (including the G16 key) but then after 3 or 4 games of occasional use of the key, it stopped working. I can't complain anyway because it is annoying to press anyway. I won't knock off an egg from it because one key is annoying, my subjective view, or easily bypassable software. All in all, it is a great product and I would recommend it to all looking for a gamepad.

Pros: -Speed....they weren't kidding, _blazing_
-Easy to program
-If you actually read, configuring keys/profiles is a breeze
--HUGE PRO: Your profiles can be saved to the G13. This makes it portable between computers. Always save a backup on the computer

Cons: -Forget the new app, use the 'classic'

Other Thoughts: Planning to buy a second just in case my current dies. I was a long-time Nostromo owner (last I had was an n51 that died after two years). I play everything-FPS/MMROPG/Sims/you name it.

I bought this because I noticed even after building a (at the time) monster gaming rig that I _still_ couldn't get the draw on anyone/anything/anywhere. I liked the layout of the G13...much better, much more comfortable than the Nostromo.

Configured this baby and WHAM! My gaming performance went through the roof. FPS...I was on the draw. MMROPG...no more delays/lack of reaction time. Sims/Strategy games? I could actually keep up with the AI!

Some notes:
--Use the Classic software...the new app is junk
--Disable persistent profiles, and more importantly, DISABLE AUTOSAVING. This mangles profiles like crazy
--In the LCD manager, turn off all the junk. You'll see your CPU/Memory usage drop like a rock. I only use Profiler and and scripting display
--Keep copies of your profiles (all of 'm) on every computer. Why? It resolves issues where your profile doesn't load with a game

Overall, I can't gush enough about this thing. I still can't figure why the Razer guys picked up the Nostromo. They didn't do anything to improve it...I know, I clean Nostromo-player clocks all day.
