1 out of 5 eggscheck battery dates

Pros: worked great while it lasted, but..

Cons: I should have checked the dates on the batteries that came with it. The mouse and keyboard worked great until the batteries leaked acid and ruined the mouse. The dates on the batteries said Mar2013, but they leaked in Feb2013. Two months of use, but now outside the warranty window, so out of luck..

4 out of 5 eggsNo more cords

Pros: No more tangled cords. Good wireless reception to the Dongle.

Cons: The Left edge of the keyboard 2 buttons running along the frame. I set the keyboard by my recliner at the end of the evening. when i pick it up the next day , i almost always hit one of the buttons. This tends to change focus from one applicaton to another or backs me up a page on an internet browser.. Mild incoveniance at best.

Other Thoughts: The Mouse does not have a visible light on the bottom for the motion signal. i was worried about it being broken at first, then figured out the mouse was fine, just blind... :)

1 out of 5 eggsCorroded Batteries, Poor Range

Pros: Keyboard looks nice; feels solid enough. Mouse has some extra buttons, but nothing too fancy.

Cons: As soon as I removed the keyboard from the packaging, I found included a nice little baggy full of white powder; this turned out to be the batteries. The plastic had a hole where it had eaten through, so some of this wonderful substance dumped out on to my hand and work surface. I didn't even attempt to use these batteries, and went straight for the fresh Duracells.

The keyboard and mouse work fine if used within a couple feet of the sensor, but when I relocated more than 6' away (with fresh batteries) there would be momentary lapses in communication between the peripherals. I'm not sure what the MAXIMUM range on these devices is, but after 5' I considered it pretty unusable.

The mouse is a little on the smaller side, and therefore causes strain in my hand after prolonged usage.

Other Thoughts: I bought this as a cheap wireless solution to use initially after my new build until I could save up for a higher quality one. You get what you pay for, obviously. If you're looking for a cheap wireless desktop application where the devices will never be more than a few feet from the sensor (it's corded, so you can place it on your desk), then this should be an okay starting point.

Be sure to have fresh batteries and gloves handy!

5 out of 5 eggsGood combo

Pros: Love the mouse functions, ie ... back and forward buttons and directional mouse wheel.
Keyboard functions and layout
good battery life

Cons: no sleep button on keyboard, not a big deal but something I prefer and use. I know I could just assign a key for that myself but i'm lazy

Other Thoughts: I have had this combo for well over a year and continue to use and enjoy it. I "upgraded" it a few months ago with stand alone usb stuff ... the keyboard was good but the mouse just didn't have comparable features. I gave the keyboard to my pops and use the mouse for my laptop. all in all I highly recommend this combo, can't go wrong with Logitech.

1 out of 5 eggsNo good batteries

Pros: Good price and wireless

Cons: Both battery packs we leaking battery acid out of the packs. So im not even able to use the product until I go and buy batteries.

Other Thoughts: I would say check old packaging for bad batteries because this is a very annoying problem for a customer who expects to be able to use this with everything in the box.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice, even if a bit outdated

Pros: Logitech updated software for Win 8, and it works flawlessly. The keys on the keyboard are concave, making the keyboard "feel" good, and it helps keep my fingers where they belong. An excellent keyboard for people who type rather than game. The function keys are easily programmed and the extra built-in keys for browsing/volume control/mail/internet/calculator are easily accessible and intuitive. There are 4 additional user-programmed hotkeys. The box mine came in boasted that it was compatible with Vista but also XP, so it is showing its age. The good news is that this was a premium product when it was released and keyboard/mouse tech has not really evolved much in the last few years. The mouse is solid and has more bells and whistles than I am accustomed to using. Battery life for both might be shorter than the latest generation wireless keyboard/mouse combos, but Logitech claims up to 6 months. The keyboard uses 2 AAA's and the mouse 2AA's. Both are definitely desktop-type (full size) devices. The remote is a dongle, which is larger and more obtrusive than many of the new nano receivers, but you get the benefit of a caps/function/num lock indicator that wireless keyboards usually have to forego to save batteries. I bought mine on clearance, which means I got a good deal and probably nobody will read my review.

Cons: My only complaint about the keyboard is that the tilt feels a little bit shallow even with the feet propping it up. I have absolutely no gripes about the mouse.

5 out of 5 eggsOne Battery Mouse!! but they say otherwise

Pros: It's a Logitech product so you know it's a good deal for the price.

THE MOUSE SAYS IT NEEDS TWO BATTERIES BUT ONLY REQUIRES ONE. I took a battery out to put in another mouse for a few minutes and my Logitech two battery mouse is still working. In fact it works better than before.

Cons: Keyboard sounds kind of rattley... it rattles like its cheap when I type but its a good product.

Other Thoughts: Why the mouse works with one battery but they say it needs two is beyond me.

1 out of 5 eggsGee, quality control failed.

Pros: The keyboard and mouse look nice?

Cons: Product was shipped without the USB receiver, making it impossible to use either item. Buyers, BEWARE - this was a complete waste of money.

Other Thoughts: I wish someone at Newegg would at least verify package contents before shipping items.
