4 out of 5 eggsA Nice Basic Feel

Pros: A great feeling keyboard for the money. In between a long throw and short throw (laptop). A mellow click.

Cons: Very subtly spongy. Not silent.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: This keyboard works well. The keys are solid, and the board flexes only a little under strain. It can handle multiple key presses just fine to play any game and is relatively easy to clean.

Cons: The paint on keys can come off after excessive use, but not nearly as bad as other boards I have owned. The padded feet come off very quickly, I recommend superglueing them on (if you don't care about the warranty!). A tiny tiny dab works fine.

The plastic of the board scratches relatively easy.

Other Thoughts: Decided to replace my current one with a new one only after I lost a key while cleaning it. This board can last forever under heavy use (such as typing, coding, gaming) as long as you are not overly rough with it.

3 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for ..

Pros: Inexpensive, good compatibility, plug it in and go.

Cons: Key labels are wearing off after 3 months of use. I am a heavy user and on the computer most of the day but I still feel the labels should not be wearing off after a few months of use.

Other Thoughts: It's cheap, it works, but not suitable for a heavy user. This feels like a keyboard they throw in for free when you buy a bundled computer.

2 out of 5 eggsLetters wear off easily, keyhits often miss

Pros: None

Cons: I have been buying inexpensive keyboards for years...no, decades, and this is my first problematic one. I had to RMA one for the letters wearing off the keys after 3 months and now the replacement does the same. Keystrokes don't always register and some keys even creak or squeak.

Other Thoughts: I have bought Logitech keyboards in this price range before and had no problems, but this is a total fail after two different keyboards.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Every single one of the these has worked out of the box and I have ordered 3 in this review.

Cons: Doesn't have click tactile feedback like the old Northgate keyboards but then again, almost none of them do.

Other Thoughts: I would buy again.

Cons: *NOT* Spill-resistant as claimed to be on the product page

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget keyboard

Pros: In the two years of its active usage, it has been used for various gaming purposes, extensive programming, and several essays and school assignments. Never has a key broken or popped off, and it works under both Windows 7 and Ubuntu. No problems to report whatsoever.

Cons: None to report.

Other Thoughts: I haven't used it that often with dirty hands. I don't know how easy it is to clean, simply because I have never been required to do so.

5 out of 5 eggsTank Keyboard

Pros: I don't usually write reviews for products on newegg, but I just dumped a good half cup of water on this thing and after drying it, it's still trucking. Really impressed, thought immediately I would have to buy a new one.

Cons: Haven't encountered any as to date

4 out of 5 eggs"General Issue"

Pros: Die-hard.
Cleaned fairly easily.
Keys are sized right (no giant enter key/mini-backspace).

Cons: Wish it was backlit and/or had at least volume keys.
Flip-up "legs" broke fairly quickly.
Spacebar "teeter-toters" a bit.

Other Thoughts: For the price, if all you need is a basic keyboard, I couldn't think of a better keyboard.
Bought to use with a chiclet laptop because I felt like I was going to destroy the keys playing BF2.
Also, I think I've dropped this thing multiple times and still types perfectly.
