5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Basic Keyboard for Typing or Gaming

Pros: I have done my best to wear this keyboard out over the last 6+ years and have been unable to do so. Have played countless hours of Starcraft 2, World of Warcraft, League of Legends, Diablo 3, and many other games in addition to all of my at home business and personal typing. I found it incredibly easy to get used to and have never had any issues with responsiveness or durability. And surprisingly the letters are as white as the day I bought it!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Saw a strange comment in another review about issues getting the drivers installed on this keyboard that, in addition to my love of this keyboard, compelled me to write this review. This is a basic USB keyboard so as long as you are using it with a working XP or newer computer there will be 0 need to ever install any drivers. It will work on a plug and play basis.

5 out of 5 eggsExactly What I wanted

Pros: Looking for a cheap wired keyboard that isn't a hunk of junk? This is the one. Doesn't slide around, feels responsive, and has a decently long cord.

Cons: A little light and flimsy... If you were wanting to bash your co-workers over the head, a Das Keyboard would be a better option.

5 out of 5 eggsJust a good keyboard

Pros: Nice feel for a membrane keyboard
Not too loud, but not silent
Keys actually respond when pressed (read other thoughts on this)
Spill resistant
Very thin and light, but not too flimsy

This is my third K120, and I cannot use any other keyboard now. (The death of my two previous ones were a result of my own errors and clumsiness). I do some mild gaming, and really like this keyboard. It's very thin, and I don't like to actuate my wrist and fingers very high to type. The K120 sits low on my desk and feels nice.

Cons: Media keys would be cool, but it's a keyboard under $20.

Other Thoughts: After the recent death of my second K120, I wanted to try some other keyboards. I tried a Logitech 510+, a 710+ mechanical keyboard, a Razer Blackwidow Chroma, and a few others I can't even remember. I ended up getting yet another K120, because it felt so much better to me.

I mentioned in pros about the keys actually responding when pressed. What I mean by that, is when you press a key down on a K120 and feel that "bump", it actually responds and sends the signal. The 510 keyboard didn't do this. You would press a key, it would "bump", but not respond unless you pressed it further. The mechanical keyboards didn't have this problem, though.

I do like how a mechanical keyboard feels and clicks, but I don't like how "fat" they are to accommodate the tall switches. The keys themselves are taller too, and I feel like my fingers are jumping a chasm to reach the next key. The K120 is nice and thin, and the keys are the perfect size and are spaced well.

4 out of 5 eggsFairly standard keyboard

Pros: It's a standard USB keyboard, good condition, keys all seem to work.

Cons: Installation can be annoying about drivers so remember to plug it in while the computer is able to install drivers, enter key is a bit on the small side and shaped exactly like shift, so mistypes might occur.

Other Thoughts: It's a fine keyboard for the price. No frills, a little annoying to set up, but it works well enough.

5 out of 5 eggsGood quality purchase

Pros: This keyboard is very good quality. I have not had a problem. I like typing using the keys. They are not loud or clicky.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I kept buying cheap keyboards that break easily. This keyboard is from a well established company and is a good quality product. It still works with no problems after all this time.

5 out of 5 eggsInitial thoughts

Pros: + Low price
+ Quiet
+ Standard layout
+ Caps and Num lock LEDs
+ Logitech

Cons: - No multimedia or shortcuts
- USB cable is pretty flimsy and kind of short

Other Thoughts: I've owned and used many keyboards since the very first IBM AT Model M including Apples in the 80's, 90's, 00's and 10's on desktops and laptops from PS/2 to USB to wireless to bluetooth. This one is replacing a relatively expensive Logitech K750 solar powered. The K750 still works and charges but it was so thin and poorly made that the keys started popping off starting with the spacebar then a few others. I decided to buy a cheap USB and this one was the right price. The keys are quiet and it does everything i expect from a keyboard in this price range. The sound of the keys is almost on par with a chiclet style keyboard but the spacebar is a significantly louder click than the smaller keys. One thing that i know is going to happen eventually is the decals on the keys will start to wear or fall off. If that doesn't happen on this one I'd be surprised. Other than that, as long as it can survive the occasional drop (using on an HTPC so it will be moved a lot) and as long as all the keys stay in place, I'll be very happy. Another concern is the USB cable. it is very thin and from experience, cables this thin tend to damage easy. It is also pretty short but I had an extension laying around that solved that. I like that it is the standard US layout and that they didn't mess with the size or location of any of the important keys such as the enter, backspace, shift, tab and caps. Everything is where it should be.

5 out of 5 eggsFor the money, almost perfect.

Pros: Feels good to type on, durable, priced well, none of the print on the keys has faded even a little bit. Weirds me out for a cheap keyboard.

Cons: After using it for a long time the keys are becoming unresponsive.

4 out of 5 eggsA Nice Basic Feel

Pros: A great feeling keyboard for the money. In between a long throw and short throw (laptop). A mellow click.

Cons: Very subtly spongy. Not silent.
