3 out of 5 eggsGood keyboard, driver needs work.

Pros: -Very configurable
-Backlighting
-Display is very usable

Cons: -Driver/software crashes occasionally on wake

Other Thoughts: I got this keyboard to replace another one that was a complete nightmare with driver bugs that caused volume up or down to get stuck there. I decided to come back to logitech because I thought they would never release a product like that....

Well it's a MUCH better keyboard that what it replaced, but it does have a some driver issues. The "Logitech Gaming Software" crashes occasionally on wake, which causes the display to stop working and a lot of the customization to go away. Restarting the software fixes it, but it is still a very annoying issue.

For what it's worth, the keyboard still works when the software crashes. All basic functionality remains.

All in all, it's an easy fix. I hope logitech fixes the issue. It's very close to a 4 egg with the issue, and without the issue it's easily a 5 egg keyboard.

3 out of 5 eggsModerate gamer

Pros: rugged, mic/headset input, macro keys are endless, LCD screen is nice.

Cons: clunky, the macro keys add over 3 inches to your keyboard taking up more free roaming mouse space, macro keys on outside of keyboard are unpractical and difficult to reach in gaming conditions (and I have big hands, LCD screen is pointless unless you look at your keyboard instead of the monitor to see how much ammo you have?! The trim outside of the keyboard takes up even more space than it should

Other Thoughts: If you have a large gaming desk(aka a table), you can completely disregard the cons that it takes up too much space. Also, if you are an avid gamer, perhaps reaching a macro in an action packed scenario on the further side wouldn't be too difficult. What made me toss this keyboard ultimately was a friend spilling a drink on it, still works, but this keyboard was not designed with cleaning in mind.

2 out of 5 eggsNO. Try Again Logitech.

Pros: All the awesomeness of the G15 that it succeeds.
The headphone jack was a smart and useful addition.
Variable colors are nice.
Volume scroll is excellent.
Software is great, and works with both this keyboard and the older G15 including accurate pictures of each and separate profiles for the different keyboards. Huge kudos for this.

Cons: The Keyboard itself is horrible. Easily the worst I have ever used. The keys hang if not pressed perfectly from above center. The longer keys are worse about this, and the space bar is completely abysmal. If you press the space bar on its ends it will not go down. I have to correct almost everything I type by going back and adding spaces where they got 'missed'. Also, when typing I frequently get double-taps where the letter will appear twice with one press. Just. Horrible.

Other Thoughts: My G15 still works brilliantly, although the blue backlight is hardly visible any more. Come on Logitech, a keyboard must always be a keyboard first. I would love this exact keyboard made with silent mechanical switches. I would pay $200 for that. I may mod this one to be that.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor imitation of G110

Pros: Lots of buttons.

Cons: Audio defective. Plugged in multiple different headphones and they exhibited scratching sounds. Software requires Windows UAC to be turned off to function properly (security risk much???). With UAC enabled it often crashes or locks up on Windows startup. Requires hacks (aka Task Scheduler) to start with UAC mode. Ultimately not worth it. Media widget caused iTunes to become active every other minute, even when minimized.

Other Thoughts: I bought this because my Logitech G110 died and I needed a replacement. I thought this was a good fix but it was defective hardware with defective software.

5 out of 5 eggsJust Amazing.

Pros: There are many pro's to this keyboard. It's very nice and it is pretty much just perfect for me.

Personally, I'd recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for a perfect gaming keyboard. It may not look like it has all those gadgets that all those higher* paid keyboards come with. Like the striker, but this keyboard really takes the cake for the dollar you pay for it.

If anyone is looking for a top 10/10 gaming keyboard with macros this is the perfect match.

Perfect grip.
Ability to type quickly.
Multi-Macro Modes.
It's not like some of those glossy keyboards which gets dirty easily.

Perfect to the touch feel.

Cons: None that I could honestly say, rather than you actually having to configure the headset port with your computer settings, but that isn't the keyboards fault. :)

4 out of 5 eggsOK

Pros: Great price and value, the LED screen is cool but not necessary. No key stick. You get the great customer service that Logitech provides. The profiles are helpful. The media keys are so useful (I really miss not having them on my new keyboard). The multicolored lights make it so you never get bored of the way your keyboard looks. The windows lock is in a nice spot.

Cons: Sometimes the key rollover does not work and can get really frustrating in FPS games. Rather large and bulky so make sure you have the space needed for it. The display screen doesn't always show up when you are in a game so just leave it to monitor your CPU/RAM.

Other Thoughts: I thought i was going to use every macro key on this keyboard (originally why i purchased this keyboard) and i have tried to use them but i find just getting use to the normal shortcuts just seem more practical, so if that is the only reason you are getting it you might want to rethink unless you are 100% sure you are going to be using them a lot.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!!!!!!!!

Pros: This is an amazing keyboard the keys are very quite and the customizable back light is nice for gaming at night.

Cons: Spacebar key is a little loud but not annoyingly though, and the backlight could be a little bit brighter.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: The LCD read outs are neat.

Cons: I would just suggest a mechanical keyboard to those looking to buy keyboards. The keys on this are very sticky/mushy. You definitely don't get the same pop.

3 out of 5 eggsMushy Keys after daily use within 2 months

Pros: -18 Macro keys, useful for MMO's.
-LCD Screen
-Responsive

Cons: -Mushy keys after daily use after 2 months.
-Software is unstable and crashes a lot.
-Backlighting is uneven, some keys are barely lit at all even on max brightness.
-Keys get dirty easily, but that might be because I'm a slob.
-Backlighting resets after you turn off your computer

Other Thoughts: The backlighting issue is not a rare issue, if you search on Google "logitech g510 dim backlight" you can see many people have this problem.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent keyboard.

Pros: -Keys are quiet
-Backlighting is nice
-More than I will probably ever need
-Everything works as advertised
-You can set the backlight color to just about anything you want.
-Logitech software is nice and easy to use. The same software is used for the G600 mouse as well as the G510 keyboard, which was a pleasant surprise. Glad I don't have to have two different software loaded for my two devices.

Cons: -See other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: First one that arrived had a fault in the molding of one of the keys, but I contacted Logitech and they replaced it without any fuss at all.

Also I can't seem to figure out how to get my choice of custom backlight color to kick in upon startup. I have to open the logitech software each startup to get the custom color to kick in. Its the same way with my G600 mouse. It might just be that I haven't locked in a setting properly or something. Perhaps user error.

*Also note: In the past I have only ever spent $15 or less on a keyboard. This is my first "expensive" keyboard. I must say though, I am quite impressed so far.
