5 out of 5 eggsI like it a lot

Pros: I got it on sale for 60 dollars.
Feels good to me, though I did not try any other gaming keyboards before buying this one.
It allows me to type with confidence.
It registers all of my key presses.
It plugged right in and worked.
The included software was flawless.
The lights look good and the profile switching is great (now that it works properly again).
The macros are great and while I have not used them for gaming, I use them for regular computer use like Copy/Paste and stuff.
The screen is great and has some useful applets.
The volume wheel is awesome!
The Gaming mode switch is handy.
I love the convenience of the headset jacks on the keyboard.
It is a good looking keyboard for sure. It looks a little nerdy, but that is what I like about it.

Cons: The light are not as bright as I expected, but they are definitely bright enough.
The "Features" page for this product mislead me to believe I could have multiple colors on the keyboard at one time. You cannot have multiple colors at once. You can however, set 3 profiles, which include macros and back light options, and switch between those profiles using button on the keyboard.
I wish there were more applets for the onboard screen.
I wish it was easier to bring to my friend' houses safely.
I downloaded Logitech's gaming software because I paired this with a Logitech G600 mouse, and for a while the profile switching did not work. That software has since been updated and works great now. I actually recommend getting that over the included software, it is much nicer and more user friendly.

Other Thoughts: I have had this keyboard since Christmas 2012 (date of reviewing: 10 June 2013), and it is a really nice piece.
If you are getting this keyboard, be sure to download "Logitech Gaming Software" from Logitech's website, it is great for controlling the keyboard and other Logitech accessories.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks great for the most part

Pros: *Fells great took some getting used to but once you do its a great keyboard.
*Has some really nice features displayed on lcd screen.

Cons: *Only one but still problematic the numpad does not work. The enter, *, /, +,- key work but not the numbers or del key. It is not that big of a deal considering I still have the number keys above the letters working. This is still a pain so I can't justify giving it higher than 3/5.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this keyboard

Pros: Have owned this keyboard for two years now, and have had no problems with it or the software. Very nice design with lots of features. More programmable keys than I know what to do with -- I've used them on occasion, and they do work. I like the different kinds of information that is displayed in the little LCD screen -- sometimes it relates to the game you are playing, other times it can be CPU and RAM usage or the date and time, etc. Ability to change colors is great. Fairly easy to type on. I even downloaded a utility recently called Core Temp that actually displays all its information (CPU temperature, usage, etc.) inside the LCD screen -- very sweet!

Cons: Key feedback is just a *bit* mushy, but tolerable. Would be nice if you could elevate the feet just a little higher.

Other Thoughts: Running Windows 8 Pro x64 with an AMD FX-8350 on ASUS M5A99FX PRO.

5 out of 5 eggsbest keyboard i've ever owned

Pros: great keyboard! works as advertised except for the headphone/microphone input jacks. see cons. i do wish i'd gotten the keyboard one step up from this with the full LCD screen. but the mechanical keys are great, back lighting helps when gaming at night, programmable keys would be nice if i played MMO's, but i use a few of them for other games. the logitech gaming software is good too once you figure out how to use it.

Cons: i tried just plugging in one of my headsets that has mic and headphone jacks, got a squelching noise from hell! not sure if i have to install some driver or other software, but i just neglected to use it again because my main headset i use is USB. the menu button on the left of the screen is starting to act funny after a little over a year. all its doing is like double clicking if you push it a certain way. if you push it the other way, it works fine.

Other Thoughts: the cpu temp monitoring program called "CoreTemp" has a great applet to enable with the LCD screen. i use that all the time.

great keyboard.

4 out of 5 eggsIts nice

Pros: Got this after having had a G15 (old style), then a G19, liked the G19 more. This is a nice keyboard, fully programable G keys, full range of colors, decent software.

Cons: The G19 has a better overall feel and a more versatile LCD. Could have taller legs to tilt a bit more toward the user to make the keys easier to read, this however is just my preference.

Other Thoughts: Still an overall solid keyboard for the money.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat replacement for my aging G15

Pros: Been using it since late 2010 and it still performs quite well.
-Backlighting is subtle and not overly bright
-The keys feel good and respond very well (in my case at least)
-18 G keys. Extremely useful for gaming as well as pro audio/video work. Benefits any situation where productivity is key
-LCD
-Game mode switch (no more prying off your start button)
-Media controls are perfect. I especially like the volume wheel
-Zero issues with software. Ever.

Cons: -Keys get a bit creaky after a while. Not loud but they just begin to feel funny when your fingers rest on them
-The little stands in the back are just barely useful. Minimal elevation
-The screen switcher button frequently skips over screens so sometimes you have to press it a few more time to cycle back around to the screen you really want
-NO USB PORTS (I don't understand this change and it's the only real thing worth taking an egg off for IMO)

Other Thoughts: -After over 2 years of constant daily use for gaming and productivity, this keyboard has held up just as well or better than my previous G15.
-I run 3 screens and I still manage to find the LCD useful. I often keep it on CPU/RAM monitor
-Lots of color customization
-Keys respond well to heavy touch typers like myself. I've not run into the problems others have described with double letters or an unresponsive space bar and I hit very close to either edge of the space bar.
-The software has never given me an issue of any kind. My profiles are always saved properly and everything is exactly as I set it after a reboot. I can't explain why so many people are having trouble with the software
-The keys are not mechanical and thus may take a bit of getting used to if you're a rather light typist. I'm a piano player so I tend to hit these keys with some authority so I never run into any mushyness or sticking.

3 out of 5 eggsGood keyboard, driver needs work.

Pros: -Very configurable
-Backlighting
-Display is very usable

Cons: -Driver/software crashes occasionally on wake

Other Thoughts: I got this keyboard to replace another one that was a complete nightmare with driver bugs that caused volume up or down to get stuck there. I decided to come back to logitech because I thought they would never release a product like that....

Well it's a MUCH better keyboard that what it replaced, but it does have a some driver issues. The "Logitech Gaming Software" crashes occasionally on wake, which causes the display to stop working and a lot of the customization to go away. Restarting the software fixes it, but it is still a very annoying issue.

For what it's worth, the keyboard still works when the software crashes. All basic functionality remains.

All in all, it's an easy fix. I hope logitech fixes the issue. It's very close to a 4 egg with the issue, and without the issue it's easily a 5 egg keyboard.

3 out of 5 eggsModerate gamer

Pros: rugged, mic/headset input, macro keys are endless, LCD screen is nice.

Cons: clunky, the macro keys add over 3 inches to your keyboard taking up more free roaming mouse space, macro keys on outside of keyboard are unpractical and difficult to reach in gaming conditions (and I have big hands, LCD screen is pointless unless you look at your keyboard instead of the monitor to see how much ammo you have?! The trim outside of the keyboard takes up even more space than it should

Other Thoughts: If you have a large gaming desk(aka a table), you can completely disregard the cons that it takes up too much space. Also, if you are an avid gamer, perhaps reaching a macro in an action packed scenario on the further side wouldn't be too difficult. What made me toss this keyboard ultimately was a friend spilling a drink on it, still works, but this keyboard was not designed with cleaning in mind.

2 out of 5 eggsNO. Try Again Logitech.

Pros: All the awesomeness of the G15 that it succeeds.
The headphone jack was a smart and useful addition.
Variable colors are nice.
Volume scroll is excellent.
Software is great, and works with both this keyboard and the older G15 including accurate pictures of each and separate profiles for the different keyboards. Huge kudos for this.

Cons: The Keyboard itself is horrible. Easily the worst I have ever used. The keys hang if not pressed perfectly from above center. The longer keys are worse about this, and the space bar is completely abysmal. If you press the space bar on its ends it will not go down. I have to correct almost everything I type by going back and adding spaces where they got 'missed'. Also, when typing I frequently get double-taps where the letter will appear twice with one press. Just. Horrible.

Other Thoughts: My G15 still works brilliantly, although the blue backlight is hardly visible any more. Come on Logitech, a keyboard must always be a keyboard first. I would love this exact keyboard made with silent mechanical switches. I would pay $200 for that. I may mod this one to be that.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor imitation of G110

Pros: Lots of buttons.

Cons: Audio defective. Plugged in multiple different headphones and they exhibited scratching sounds. Software requires Windows UAC to be turned off to function properly (security risk much???). With UAC enabled it often crashes or locks up on Windows startup. Requires hacks (aka Task Scheduler) to start with UAC mode. Ultimately not worth it. Media widget caused iTunes to become active every other minute, even when minimized.

Other Thoughts: I bought this because my Logitech G110 died and I needed a replacement. I thought this was a good fix but it was defective hardware with defective software.
