2 out of 5 eggsLogitec G510S Refurbished

Pros: Great Color selection for the keys, just about any color you want.
You can use the display as a clock...
The Keyboard picks up default key configs and basic control sets off the web for you so you already have the basic keyset for each game on your steam or origin. The Logitec G software does this for you.
It's got a lot of macro keys on the left side if you are like me and you launch monitor software for your hardware while gaming, link the G key to the EXE of your programs so you just tap the button and it launches things like Fraps, ai suite, gpu tweak.

Cons: I bought a refurbished keyboard knowlingly, then had it shipped outside the continental US to my APO, AP.
OK the keys would not go down when I plugged the keyboard in. This was because the Keyboard was not refurbished it was used. When I say used I mean it was full of soup. It had a large amount of food and drink spilled into it and it had been returned to its original vendor like it had just failed.

I want to stress here that I cleaned it out knowing that I really couldn't send it back because I shipped it outside of the US after receiving it. I Purchased this Keyboard on the 28th of September and received it 7 October which is awesome transit time. IT is exactly what I was looking for at a very good price, but I literally had to remove every key and clean under it becaue the keys were so stuck with dried food and sticky old soda that they would not move downward.

Now that it's back together it works great. The keys are kind of mushy but dome key game board are like that until they get broken in.

The letters don't light up very bright, but I just cleaned some kind of beverage out of the circuit board with antistatic wipes so I suppose they would be.

The screen on the KB is badly scuffed but its clearly readable.

Other Thoughts: All in all I do believe I got a great price on it but I would like to see the vendor who is "refurbishing" items for resale on newegg actually clean the items.

It ruins the reputation of the vendor and ruins the reputation of the reseller.

Definitely a good bargain item, but if I had been inside the continental US this would have gone in a box and shipped back to Newegg. I have pictures of the inside of the Keyboard and it is nasty.

Lately I have been getting some seriously low quality items from newegg as refurbs. Previously maybe I just had good luck but regardless I feel cheated having to tear this up and clean it after using it. Either way it works very well now and I'm glad I have it, my previous G15 lasted 7 years and worked flawlessly until the day it died.

2 out of 5 eggsG105S refurb

Pros: This is actually a nicely designed keyboard. I have had Logitech keyboards in the past and I have found them to be nicely made and this one is no different. The LCD screen is nice and bright, the USB Audio pass-through worked fine for me, and a plethora of macro keys round out a nice gaming keyboard. The back lighting is also nicely done and the colors are fairly bright without being completely obnoxious.

Cons: It's large. Let me reiterate that because it bears emphasis: LARGE. If you have limited space then this keyboard will make you very sad and agitated - as it is huge and heavy.

Next lets talk about the quality of the keyboard. The keyboard has a very nice feel, the keys feel like a typical Logitech membrane based keyboard. Key action is smooth and quiet. The space bar on this keyboard though is janky. I'm not sure if its the product of a bad refurb or if it is the result of poor design. Personally I think that its a design issue. The space bar feels like there is a single membrane button under it and when you hit it at angle it does not always register or it double registers. The keyboard is huge and my hands are rather smallish for a man and I touch type. For gaming its passable, but if your a college student or do any sort of typing then this keyboard is going to make you lose your mind.

Finally there is the LCD display. Let's be honest about this: no one needs this display. The functionality is limited to games that support the LCD - which when I hooked up to Logitech's website they downloaded five game presets out of the 129 games that I own. That is not really a value add and after getting it setup I mostly left the LCD on the clock function.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this because I missed having backlit keys and an array of macro keys. I've been using a mechanical keyboard for a couple of years and it has no backlight feature and only about 5 macro keys.

As soon as I switched the keyboards I immediately missed the quality tactile feel of my mechanical keyboard (Cherry MX Browns). I used it for about two weeks and switched the keyboards back. I am going to keep this keyboard for another rig that I am building but my main gaming/productivity rig is going to stay mechanical.

There are better keyboards that you can purchase brand new on this website and most of those are from Logitech. Nobody needs the LCD and if you are going to spend fifty bucks or more you are better off spending twenty or thirty more and going in for mechanical keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING

Pros: Such a great keyboard!! Easy to install, and very much fun to use and to test with many games/apps/plugins!

Cons: The flemsy wrist guard is kind of a drag, but it does the job.

Other Thoughts: Great keyboard, fun to see what the technology has become these days! I know it is a tad older, but it is way more worth the money you spend than the G17 or the other "large lcd" keyboards!!!! I do not have a keyboard to watch youtube, I have the small LCD to keep me informed of news/stats/in-game necessities etc....!

1 out of 5 eggsweird design issues and bad refurb = double trouble

Pros: I really like the way this keyboard look and feels. Soft feel on keys, pressure feels right, low sound on key presses, consistent feel, light levels good with back lighting and panel. The USB and audio ports are a very nice touch. I am in love with this keyboard!

Cons: Weird alignment, for whatever reason my fingers were getting lost... ultimately I was getting used to that. The reason its going back is that it was either not registering key presses or it was double registering key presses. I know I'm not the best typist on the planet but this was brutal. Keyboard also got unusually hot along the lower left bezel. And unlike women that are unusually hot that want to sit on your desk and look awesome and feel good, a keyboard has to work and this simply doesn't.

1 out of 5 eggsSave your cash

Pros: Macro keys, LCD Display, and LED keys.

Cons: Spacebar randomly does a double space or doesn't detect the spacebar being pressed at all. All other key presses don't give the warm, fuzzy when pressed and released either.

Other Thoughts: I ended up purchasing the G105 keyboard ultimately and I am very satisfied now. I never wrote a review before, but I felt inclined to warn my fellow-man.

4 out of 5 eggsOnly Minor Software Issues

Pros: Tons of keys.
Easily cleaned.
Little monitor.
Keyboard lighting

Cons: Ran into a few software issues.
I think it sometimes doesn't register keys.
Key lights don't light up the entire icon.
Don't use the audio stuff, it will cause big problems.

Other Thoughts: Overall I am happy with this purchase. I will need to test it further to make sure it is the keyboard causing the keys to not register. It is such a rare occurrence it makes me think it might be a driver issue or the PC just freezing on its own.

4 out of 5 eggsWell worth it.

Pros: I love the light up keys, fully programmable keys with macros and the number of profiles it can use. Best sub-$100 keyboard I've used.

Despite being a refurb. it works very well and is physically like new.

Cons: I would rather have fewer programmable keys along the top rather than a huge number on the left. I think I would get used to it, but I use standard Dell keyboards everywhere else and I've grown used to having escape at the very top left.

Other Thoughts: Love having access to programming the LCD. It's not something the average person is going to be able to do and it's not easy to find additional uses for it, but you can try.
