5 out of 5 eggsGood For Work and Gaming

Pros: Thin, sleek, has a built in battery. Lights up too so you can work in the dark. Has an off switch too to save power. The connection is USB for charging so I could charge it in the car if I wanted, heh. It has an FN key that can control Windows Media Plkayer, iTunes, etc for volume and play options and also your email, calculator, etc keys. Typing is a slight adjustment since my last keyboard was so big, but the keys are nice and smooth and easy on the fingers. There is a 40% different in typing volume from the clicking of the keys from my last keytboard

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I really like Logitech components. I have a wireless mouse of theirs and the z5500 TXH surround sound speakers with them and have had them for 10 years with no issues. I got this keyboard from retail, so it won't show verified owner. It was cheaper retail too, nothing against NewEgg, I love them, just had an emergency where my dinosaur wireless keyboard that used batteries and a huge connector to my USB port completely died on me and nothing I did, batteries, cleaning it out, etc fixed it. I work at home and I game and both are perfect with this keyboard

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT PURCHASE. Terrible quality, and Logitech won't honor warranty when it breaks.

Pros: Smooth, quiet typing
Nice backlighting

Cons: The most frequently used keys come loose, and the tiny tabs that hold them in place break. This has happened to almost a half-dozen of the keys on the board already.

Other Thoughts: Reported this issue to Logitech. They refused to cover it under warranty with no explanation.

3 out of 5 eggsLogitech 5 stars - Seller 3 stars

Pros: Great KB, have several K800s that are amazing.

Cons: Rechargeable batteries came dead. Had to purchase two rechargeable AAs. Not a huge deal but annoying.

Other Thoughts: Logitech is the best

5 out of 5 eggsThe Best Keyboard I ever had

Pros: design, key performance, this keyboard is the real thing for my taste with great HMI

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I trashed my still pretty new and expensive ROCCAT keyboard because this was nothing but flashy looking bulky trash. This new keyboard is the real thing for my taste with great HMI

4 out of 5 eggs2 years and not problems

Pros: After 2 years It still does exactly what I need it to do. Illuminated and wireless, and the battery life is about what I would expect. It's got a sleek professional style without the cheesy gamer styling that you find in most illuminated keyboards.

Cons: If I'm being really picky, the key presses are too smooth? It would be nice if they had a little more "mechanical" feel with some tactile feedback. I paid $70 for mine a year and a half ago, they are now $99 which is a little too much in my opinion.

Other Thoughts: Overall it's been a great keyboard and I probably won't be looking for a new one in the near future

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome keyboard

Pros: This is my second purchase of this keyboard, it's great if you want to use it in low light situations, it's backlit & also adjustable on the level of lighting

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Have used this model for over a year, it's best of the best I feel. It's rechargeable, has lighting & is wireless, it can even be paired to one usb plug in. So my mouse & keyboard are on one usb. My setup:

Intel i7 5690x @ 3 ghz
ASUS Rampage V Extreme (open box)
64 gigs of DDR4 G Skill 3000 MHz ram F4-3000C15Q-32GRBB
1 terabyte Mushkin Reactor SSD
LG 3D bluray/DVD/CD reader/burner
Logitech K800 keyboard & Performance MX mouse
1300 watt EVGA PSU
Antec 1200 unbeatable gaming case full tower
32" Vizio smart tv as the monitor
Dual - VGA 06G-P4-4995-KR GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support SC+ w/ACX BP Video Card

2 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Keys have a great feel, super easy to type. Function buttons are handy, lighting is well done without being distracting in darker environments.

Cons: After about a year keys started sticking. Battery life started getting worse. Within two years keys started getting jammed or stopped responding entirely. Battery life is almost non-existent, and since it's built-in, it can't be replaced.

Other Thoughts: Works well for a while, but falls apart pretty thoroughly. After a bevy of Logitech products that have done the same to me, I think I'm done with them. Getting tired of my mice and keyboards dying on me within a year.

4 out of 5 eggsFollow up review (4 years after initial review)

Pros: So good I'm getting another to replace the first after almost 4 years of heavy use and some abuse. Illumination feature is the main reason I chose this model. Sensors are not too sensitive and turns on when your hands approach the palm rest or when you depress any key and turns off after 2 seconds of inactivity. All the features you expect from Logitech as well including programmable keys via Setpoint. Has all the controls for music and web as well.

Cons: Battery life isn't horrible, but if you use it a lot each day and also use the illumination function it will likely not last more than a week. The terminal that connects to the keyboard is a micro USB and many connect/disconnects will start to weaken the internal port on the keyboard. Mine still works and I have tugged it accidentally countless times over the years so that may be just me.
Sometimes the illumination doesn't auto turn off for some reason. All you have to do is cycle the power with the on/off switch located above the keypad and it works as normal. No biggie.

Other Thoughts: As the title says, this is a follow up review. I've had this keyboard for very close to 4 years. The recharge port has gotten a little weak internally but that could easily be from tugging on it a lot as I use this with it on my lap and not on a desk. When plugged in to charge I've occasionally tugged too hard on accident so this may be an isolated thing.
After all this time it finally forced me to buy a replacement because the "p" button just stopped working last night. I'll gladly fork over the fund for a new one. I'm reminding that everything fails eventually, so not only did I reorder another K800 but I also ordered a cheap backup.
If you need a keyboard that illuminates then I suggest this one. It's basically the same old great keyboard you expect from Logitech but also can be used in the dark just as if it wasn't dark at all.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Product!

Pros: This keyboard is great. You take it out of the box and can admire it's sleek body and smooth feel. It is ready to go immediately and all you have to do is plug it in and GO!. It has wonderful backlit keys that adjust to the current lighting and a very quiet key stroke.

Cons: I have yet to find a bad thing about this product. It has great range and great battery life (IF you don't leave it on all the time).

Other Thoughts: I would highly recommend this to anyone in the market for a great wireless keyboard that has backlit keys and a sleek body. Very practical and well priced. :D
