  • newegg Keeps a low profile The compact keyboard combines the best of traditional keyboards and laptop keyboards, for a great experience wherever you use your tablet.

3 out of 5 eggsFirst One Going Back

Pros: Great design, android specific keys, carrying case that turns into a stand, sleek, not cheaply made. The keys felt legit under my fingers - good response, too.

Cons: Purchased this as a Christmas gift for my wife and I sync'ed it to her tablet on Christmas day, but she did not use it until last week. That's when we discovered there were three dead keys on the keyboard - 'S', 'N', and 'M'. Since the unit was out of warranty through Newegg, I had to go directly to Logitech.

Submitted a request via their ticketing system on 1/26/13 with the promise of 48-hour turnaround, but I just heard back from them on 2/3/13 (grabbing my calculator). Hmm, not the most speedy response, but okay, at least they replied. I'll update my review after the issue is resolved.

Other Thoughts: I've never had a problem with Logitech equipment before. I have a Squeezebox and countless wired and wireless keyboards and mice (mouses, mices). I'm going to assume this was a fluke.

4 out of 5 eggsNice keyboard but...

Pros: Beautiful design
Feels nice and solid during use
Mobility is great

Cons: In very small print on this product description it says Android 3.0+ whereas on the box that fact is much bolder. I purchased this for a Samsung Galaxy Tab SCH-1800 and to my dismay found that the highest version of Android my Tab will support is 2.3.5 Gingerbread. After many, many hours of trying to get this keyboard to work on the tablet and many APPS later I realized there's no way to get this to work on my non 3.0 Android.

Other Thoughts: I managed to switch the keyboard over to use on my PS3 and, don't get me wrong, it's an exceptional keyboard. It's only getting 4 out of 5 stars from me as I wish newegg had put it clearly in the product description that you MUST have Android 3.0 or above to use it.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad, but heavy

Pros: Works with Android. Has keys. Is wireless. Good feel and stays in place while typing. Easy to use on your lap.

Cons: HEAVY! This thing with it's carry pack / stand is almost as heavy as my tablet! It's probably as heavy or heavier than most 7" tablets. It's also rather large overall since it doesn't fold up like a lot of portable keyboards.

4 out of 5 eggsSweet

Pros: Connects to PS3 Like a charm, BT enabled PC also.
Playbook Book from Blackberry was the reason for the Purchase but now for the PS3. Saves me a USB slot.

Cons: No F1-12 Keys. But it is built for a Tablet so it is forgivable.

Other Thoughts: Apples, Oranges, and vodka. (Never said the Other Thoughts was for the Products, lol)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Android keyboard

Pros: Easy to use, it just works.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I got this to go with an Acer A200 (Android 3.2). Pairing it with the tablet was easy, and the keyboard's case serves as a stand for the tablet.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat ANDROID Keyboard

Pros: Quick connection, solid build, nice key layout

Cons: lack of touchpad

Other Thoughts: This is a solidly built, easy to use, lightweight keyboard. The travel case opens to give you a tablet stand. In effect your 10.1 inch tablet simply becomes a notebook. The keys are nicely spaced even for large hands. I use mine with the dock on my TV so I can be in the recliner with this light and fast keyboard and not too far from instant communication. Not really designed for desktop use. Not a Windows KB - but it can connect to just about any bluetooth device, including phones.

2 out of 5 eggsNot what was indicated.

Pros: It's a solid bluetooth keyboard

Cons: It's not what it says on the tin.

Other Thoughts: You may notice if you zoom in on the picture, that the keyboard has a CMD / Windows key. This is not what you will receive. Instead, I was shipped a bluetooth keyboard for Android. Not for a desktop computer. Where that CMD / Windows key is, instead I get a big ol' search button. Very disappointed to be ripped off.
