Logitech K700 Black RF Wireless Keyboard/Trackpad Controller for Google TV

Refurbished newegg

  • USB RF Wireless
ICON Loading...

Made for Google TV

The Logitech Keyboard Controller was designed specifically for Google TV, so you'll have the dedicated commands you need to search, control and interact with videos from TV and the Web-all from your keyboard.

The Web at your fingertip

A touch pad with vertical scrolling allows you to control the cursor on-screen, navigate websites and scroll up and down without a mouse. The compact keyboard gives you a natural way to enter text, so it's fast and easy to search for and find things to watch.

Stand at the ready

The controller stands on its edge to make it easy to store neatly next to the couch or inside a cabinet. It stays out of sight when you don't need it, but is easy to grab when you want it.

5 out of 5 eggsIs it New or Refurb. Can't tell

Pros: + Great design
+ Has all the necessary buttons
ex. page up down val. up down
+Good reception

Cons: Non

Other Thoughts: You can't go wrong with this purchase. For 30 bucks its cheaper than its lesser models and a steal if u ask me. I enjoy it at my bed using it at night before I sleep to control my pc and couldn't been happier. Easy install and good product.

4 out of 5 eggsok, attach to WIndows machine first

Pros: Bought this, refurbished, for my super cheap Android 4.0 HDMI stick (google tv?). I didn't want to pay more for the keyboard than the computer. Didn't work right out of the box but with a tiny bit of research realized I needed to set it up on a Windows (or Mac) machine first, before it could talk to the little usb transceiver. Having done that, it works with my google TV.

Cons: not plug and play with android without first setting up on a Windows machine.

1 out of 5 eggsA no go!

Pros: ?

Cons: Unified receiver was detected, and a HID complient Mouse device was installed, but no "Joy" after that!

Other Thoughts: Was a refurb unit - never again.
40% of original cost more in shipping to try again!
No thank you!

Where's the zero eggs?

2 out of 5 eggsDefinitely Not "for PC"

Pros: Unifying receiver is nice. Well built for what it is.

Cons: Fn+Click for right-click ("for PC"?)
Absolutely no ability to use F-keys (c'mon really "for PC"?)
Not recongized in Logitech SetPoint (how can you still say "for PC"?)

Other Thoughts: Wanted a simple keyboard for HTPC and light gaming. Games require F-keys. Boo!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: Fantastic design, feels great holding with both hands. Mouse click actually has a button that can be used with your thumb which feels so natural.

UNLIKE OTHER COMPLAINTS, this keyboard does have a right click function, but simply holding the FN key and pressing either the thumb button or actual left click button by the track pad.

A lot of people haven't figured that out, but don't worry about them, this thing will operate an HTPC better than any keyboard you can find on the market. The arrow keys are natural to use while holding with both hands and browsing through the guide. The K400 does not do this.

I have both the K700 and the K400 and this is by far the better of the two!

Cons: Some hotkeys won't work natively, since this is designed for Google TV, but you won't need any of them and can easily map keys using third party software.

5 out of 5 eggsLike new, in OEM Brown box

Pros: Compact, Better mouse control than Sony remote, real keyboard instead of chick-let keys.

Cons: Battery cover comes off easily.

Other Thoughts: Works great, using it on my Sony Google TV with the Unifying receiver. After Unifying the keyboard with the included receiver with my PC I moved the receiver to the front USB port on my Sony Google TV and this remote works great. All keys marked with GTV functions perform their intended functions on the Sony GTV. I got this for much cheaper than it would have been to get another Sony remote.

5 out of 5 eggsRE: Good and bad depending what it's used for

Pros: *Update* Their is a right click button next to the right side "Alt" key. Logitech doesnt have a manual telling what key does what, nor does it come with one. I had to stumble upon this. Since its mainly for a google device, they might have the manual for this? Not sure, but I am so happy now that I do not have to return this.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: Logitech has always made a good quality product.

4 out of 5 eggsGood and bad depending what it's used for

Pros: •Came brand new
•Installed in a minute and was running in no time
•Soft touch mouse pad
•So easy to use and comfortable
•Automatically turns off when not in use to save battery
•Free additional 1 year warranty

Cons: •NO RIGHT MOUSE CLICK, BEWARE!

Other Thoughts: The google device this was made for doesn't require a left and right mouse click. Logitech even states great for your PC to, but forgets to tell you no right click. I have to rma this for the k400 now and wait 2 weeks.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well for an HTPC

Pros: - Excellent placement of an extra left click button on the top left of the board
- Satisfyingly solid and "clicky" keys
- Solid overall construction
- Very thin and easy to hold due to the extruded upper base which holds the (2 AA) batteries
- Aforementioned upper base has a rubber stopper to prevent sliding
- Good range from the couch (20 ft, only moderate success from 30 ft through a corner)

Cons: - No Left Alt key
- No dedicated right/middle click (although FN+click is right click)
- The Logitech Unifying Software must be installed to use (although it sets up easily and does not seem bloated.) This may be an issue for computers which will not boot through bios without a keyboard.
- Keys cannot be remapped through the Unifying Software as far as I can tell

Other Thoughts: Some FN/extra keys are not mapped in Windows, probably since it was not designed for it. Out of the box, mapping goes (top/bottom, left/right):
- Mute and vol +/-: Work fine
- TV: Nothing
- Guide: Open WMC/TV Guide while in WMC
- DVR: Nothing
- AVR/STB/TV (and FN+key): Nothing
- FN+A/B/C, etc on number keys: Nothing
- Back arrow: Works like browser back button
- Home key: New Chrome window from desktop, works as Home browser button in Chrome
- D-pad: Works as expected
- OK: Mapped straight to Enter
- "+/-" buttons beside Left Shift/Ctrl: Nothing, although the FN+Pg Up/Pg Down do work
- "Star" key: Nothing
- Window/PIP(?): Nothing
- REW/Play/Pause/FF: All work in XBMC, FN+key does nothing
- I have no idea how to access the grave and tilde keys since there are three characters/key. It's not both Shifts or Shift/FN so I'm stymied.

For all the Cons/Other I listed, this keyboard still merits 5 stars because the layout issues should be obvious from the pictures and it is o

4 out of 5 eggsPerfect for my Media Center

Pros: Range, i went outside my apt and down the stairs and it still worked. Small form factor yet large buttons. Touchpad works great.

Cons: Not supported by setpoint software on pc so I can't remap any of the keys. Have to use function key to get right mouse click. No gesture support on touchpad (again because of no setpoint support)

Other Thoughts: I have tried quite a few HTPC type keyboards and this is the best one I have found. And at the price of this refurbished unit you just can not go wrong. Hopefully logitech will release setpoint support soon as this is really a great product. Im sure its just perfect for google tv but its great for a pc as well.
