1 out of 5 eggsWorked [fixed it, PEBKAC]

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Was a nice keyboard while it was working. [fixed it, PEBKAC]

Cons: I believed that there was an issue with the 1 key but it was due to me using Win2VNC for another system I use on my desk. The memory recall was locked due to a problem going from system to system over Win2VNC.

Other Thoughts: I like fixing things so I'm going to tear it open and see what happened rather than return it. Feel free to email eumoriayt at Gmail if you also have a problem maybe I'll have a solution after taking a look.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing as a First Mechanical Keyboard

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: - Installation was as easy as plugging the keyboard in, and optionally downloading the Logitech Gaming Software. You need to get the version that corresponds to your OS architecture, the x86 version will not install on x64.
- Mechanical Keyboards are amazing. I had only used rubber membrane keyboards until now, and I won't go back.
- It's quiet. Just a bit louder than a rubber keyboard, but not as loud as some other mechanical keyboards.
- Macro Keys are useful, and you can program them from the keyboard without opening the software. You do get more advanced functionality by using the software though.
- Adjustable, white backlighting is awesome.
- Media controls. I used the volume wheel all the time on my old keyboard, and it's awesome on this keyboard.
- The sound and feeling of a mechanical keyboard! Typing is legitimately FUN on this thing.

Cons: - Minor: The lights to indicate status of Num Lock, Caps Lock, etc are quite bright, and cannot be turned down. Some tape fixes that issue right up.
- Very minor: The color of the backlight is the same on all of the main keys, and it is also the same on all of the other keys (media controls, backlight controls, etc.), but these two groups look slightly different from each other. The only reason I noticed this was because someone else pointed it out, and I looked for it when I got the keyboard.

Other Thoughts: - I don't think I've ever typed as much as in the last few days since getting this. I actually like typing on this keyboard so much, I'm getting more work done, because I straight up WANT to use it. Not something I thought I would ever say.

3 out of 5 eggsPretty Subpar. Don't buy

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Works well with LGS and has about as many extra LGS features as you would expect a keyboard to have. (Logitech Gaming Software)

Cons: Keycaps are very fragile. The original commercial feature an actual tank rolling over this thing and they just put the keycaps back on and kept playing. Three keycaps on my mine have broken in less than a month.

Other Thoughts: I bought a whole new set of keycaps from a different company. If these new keycaps had shipped with the original product I would have given it five stars.

Logitech consistently shows that it has great potential products but always falls short of actually producing them. Most of the time I buy Logitech hardware knowing I will only be content with it, but not completely happy. This product however is unusable and not worth its price point.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Quiet smooth keys. Great features (side buttons, audio control with dial).

Cons: Wish the G710+ logo wasn't on the keyboard. I'd rather have a Logitech logo.

5 out of 5 eggsLogitech doesn't disappoint

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Very good Mechanical keyboard. strongly build, it has glossy plastic but it doesn't get covered with finger prints and so on. I like the orange accent around the G-keys (Macros). Logitech software is also pretty good with a nice amount of options over G-keys and other little neat features.

Cons: only con would be the indicator for Caps lock and numpad and scroll lock not dimming the leds with the rest of the keyboard but its a minor thing

1 out of 5 eggsstarted to die after a little over 1 year

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Overall I liked this keyboard. But now it is starting to die on me. I've never had a keyboard fail like this in my 30 years of computing. And I was a pretty light user of this keyboard. Seems pretty expensive to fail like this. Obviously Logitech is cutting corners. I need to buy a replacement keyboard while I send this in theoretically for repair. Or I will just junk it. Lame.

Cons: Failed after a little over a year. Pretty expensive!

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Biggest thing about it is you can get Cherry MX Browns for a low cost. I found the keyboard to be sturdy and robust compared to a regular keyboard. Software runs like a clock and it has extra usb plug in the back so you dont have to run a mouse cord so far. It even has slots underneath to hold a headphone cord. Pretty nifty. Perfect mechanical keyboard especially for entry level pc gamers

Cons: None. I love it.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst keyboard I've ever owned

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Sturdy and heavy

Cons: Everything. It does not work right. Every key either:

- Doesn't respond
- Responds 2/3/4 times to one keystroke
- Sometimes a keystroke on a certain key produces a keystroke from a key I didn't press. IE: press J and it produces a P. Doubleyoo Tee EFF!!!!!

Some keys require extreme pressure to register a keystroke. Left ALT, left CTRL, left shift, space, Z, X, C and probably even more.

Absolute nightmare to type on. I type 70wpm, but certainly not with this keyboard. Not when I have to backspace every two seconds to fix typo's I didn't make.

Gaming is also a nightmare. This keyboard has caused more deaths than I can keep track of.

Lighting is uneven and color temperature of LED's is also uneven. Some have a purple hue. Some have a green hue.

Capslock/numlock LED indicators are too bright. I had to cover them with tape.

Other Thoughts: I've had $5 thrift shop keyboards of higher quality. I am one backspace away from smashing this thing on concrete and going back to old school keyboards. This thing isn't worth $20. Save yourself money and time by skipping on this sad excuse of a mechanical keyboard and buying something that actually works.

4 out of 5 eggsMy main Keys

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Adjustable brightness back-light, WASD and arrows keys and/or the whole keyboard.
Lets you know when a key is really pressed with tactile and audio
Programmable G-Keys

Cons: There was an additional loose LED light underneath one of my keys. This made the key feel very strange and hard to press down. It must of fallen down on accident in the assembly process. I Fixed it by removing the key and just picked up the loose LED light by what you would do to normally clean underneath your keys.
The shift keys are NOT back-lighted: !@#$%^&*()_+{}:"<>? are all painted Silver on the keys.

1 out of 5 eggsNice keyboard, poorly constructed.

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: - white backlight with adjustable brightness for two zones.
- comfortable keys

Cons: - Made out of cheap materials.
- Poor customer service.
- I am in no way hard on my keyboards. I've had many cheap keyboards last me as long as I cared to keep them. Not a single key on a single one of those keyboards in 20 years of computing have ever just simply broken while gaming. Until now. $130 mechanical keyboard? The "A" key simply breaks off its sitting cross pillar with bits and pieces left in the keyboard.
- Now try and get customer service to replace one key. ONE KEY. You can mail it in an envelope. No they say your keyboard is of limited warranty because it was purchased "refurbished". 6 months this keyboard lasted. BUYER BEWARE. And Logitech SHAME ON YOU. You may have poor quality control but you start dying as a company when you refuse to honor simple service requests.
