4 out of 5 eggsGreat!

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: - Feels great
- Practically indestructible
- Tons of macro keys
- WASD + other keyboard illumination is great

Cons: - Very loud keyboard, if you're after quiet, look elsewhere
- Cosmetic, but the G keys should perhaps have an option to come in black
- Software for macros isn't the most user friendly

5 out of 5 eggsI love this keyboard !

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Nice looking
Robust
Macro key for those who like this

Cons: Don't really like the logitech sofware

Other Thoughts: I put more than 1 year of ownership because it's the second g710+ I purchase. The first one broke because I spill some drink on it, and more than one time before it died... Anyway, great keyboard love it !

5 out of 5 eggsSolid so far...

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: In order of importance to me:
Keys (feel)
Anti-ghost (multi-key matrix)
Weight (mass of the board itself)
Software (see 'Other thoughts')
Adjustable Feet
Removable Palm Rest
Back-lighting

Cons: This is very minor to me, but I'll mention it here - the lock indicator lights for caps, num, etc. are quite bright and I have not found a good way to adjust them separate of the other back-lighting.

Other Thoughts: The build quality on this keyboard is really quite excellent. Having three simple levels of back-lighting for each zone is useful without being cumbersome. The media controls are simple and well thought out. The board doesn't seem to have a bunch of features that you don't really need.

I had reservations about getting a mechanical keyboard because I gamed on a laptop for several years and became accustomed to a low-profile keyboard. After taking the plunge to see what all the fuss is about, I have to admit that I love the feel of the MX brown series.

One of the main reasons I opted to go with a Logitech board in the first place is that I already own a Logitech gaming mouse and assumed that this board would use the same software that I already had installed. I hate having a different piece of software to control and configure every input device... Much to my pleasant surprise, the Logitech G software that was already on my machine recognized this keyboard almost instantly and integrated with it. Now I have one place to configure mouse and keyboard profiles for all my games and tasks. It's a wonderful thing!

5 out of 5 eggsamazing keyboard

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: cherry mx- browns, pre-installed rubber o-rings.
2 usb cables to ensure it has enough power for the LEDs and data transfer rate.
I love this keyboard. and the logitech gaming software is by far the better ones that i have used compared to other brands.

Cons: glossy finish leaves too many finger prints.

Other Thoughts: cherry mx-browns are now my favorite switches. it has the tactile feedback like the blues without the clicky sound.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent keyboard

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: I own one of these at home, replacing my G110 keyboard. It's great!

I also had my boss buy one for work. I love the Cherry MX keys. Although I understand that is not to credit to Logitech.

Cons: The "Logitech Gaming Software" is decent. But it could still be better. Making macros can be tedious.

Other Thoughts: I didn't have any problem with key caps breaking. I once dropped the keyboard, finger grabbed it by the up arrow key and popped the key right off. Keyboard fell to the ground. Keyboard was fine, up arrow key was fine. Seems very durable.

I think the people complaining about the key durability are the kinds of people who get angry when they're gaming and slam their fists into the keyboard.

Or maybe not, and I'll run into the problem later and regret saying that. /shrug

3 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: -Mostly very solid
-Good aesthetics
-Good ergonomics
-USB port on the far side is convenient for wireless dongles and other peripherals
-Rather quiet

Cons: -Keycaps are thin and brittle, Z key has a broken cruciform after only 4 months of usage.

Other Thoughts: A very nice keyboard, except for the keycaps. This would really be a home-run if they decided to put a little bit of that $150 towards keycaps that aren't absolute garbage.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent keyboard, but beware...

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: The four stages of backlight brightness are very nice.
Most* keys function correctly.
Media controls are fantastic.
Wristrest is decent.

Cons: *Most buttons functioned properly until both left and right CTRL key caps split in the female end of the keycap. The plastic deteriorated and broke completely into small pieces, leaving them useless. You might be saying, "Oh he probably just mauled his keyboard with his meatloaf hands"... Nope, not only do I absolutely never use the right CTRL, the ESC button broke, and the forward slash button as well. I've never actually used the forward slash or right CTRL so that was surprising to me. The keyboard is fine besides that, but you really shouldn't have to spend extra money on some overpriced keycaps. Even if you don't believe me or see any reviews in this section that state this huge flaw, just google, "g710+ keycaps breaking", or something similar and you see some results. I'd recommend trying another brand like Corsair or something.

Other Thoughts: Google the keycap flaws, and go with another brand.

5 out of 5 eggsworked really well!

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: This is a great keyboard until your son who just had a stroke spills eggs inside the keys..bye bye keyboard sadly. But until then I LOVED the sharp and fast responses ans the G keys. Configuration took a while but til the egging went really well! It has taken time to afford a new one.. still can't REALY afford it but my backup keyboard is dreadful......eek

Cons: Cons.. sorting out the g keys, and it's not eggproof dagnabbit wish I insurance covered THAT one!

5 out of 5 eggsbest keyboard i have owned

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: has my favorite cherry mx brown switches(there soft and quit were the blue's are loud and stiffer) and i have been hammering this thing playing starcraft 2 at 150+apm on it 8 hour since i got it a month ago and just like new still.(i have never had something logitech die on me no surprise). i love having the volume play/pause and skip song on the keyboard makes switching songs mid game easy. the logitech software is easy to use and set up your g keys, macro's ect, and the same software for both this and my g502 proteus core gaming mouse made me happy.:) And to top it all off i found out one of my favorite pro starcraft 2 players uses this keyboard. (forgg)

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Iluminated, keypad, Logitech.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: Replaced my standard keyboard that came with an eMachines computer years ago. I game a lot - not sure why I waited so long. This one is worth it. Logitech makes quality products - haven't let me down yet. Not into "macros" while gaming, so I can't comment on that functionality.
