3 out of 5 eggsDisappointed in keys caps and spacing.

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Love the volume control. Keys action is very nice.

Cons: Characters on keys are way too small. Hard to see. Characters that you hold the shift and unless you turn up the lights of the keyboard they are difficult to see because they are poorly backlighted.

Keys are spaced a little too far apart for me. I have to look down way too often to reach a upper/lower row of keys.

The lights for the Caps Lock, Num Lock, Scroll Lock and Windows Key Lockout are way to bright along the edge that faces you. I had to take a black marker to them to cut them down.

Front edge of the keyboard is way to high. They give you this ramp with these plastic clips. Like those will never break off some day. Ramp is wider than I realized. Not that comfortable.

Other Thoughts: very disappointed in this keyboard because of the key caps primarily. Doesn't feel very comfortable to type on because of the bottom edge and ramp. I've tried with and without.

I am thinking about returning this and going back to my G15

4 out of 5 eggsNice But Odd

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Backlights are amazing and adjustable. Adjustable volume control and mute button is nice. O-rings on each key make them surprisingly quiet. Nice overall.

Cons: Key markings for all dual function keys are reversed! For example: the comma, period and slash symbols are all on the top of the key instead of the bottom like every other keyboard ever made. This is confusing because you think you should press the shift key to get those symbols, but you don't have to. When you type you get the same symbol as any other keyboard. Its looks like a design mistake that got through, but it may be because the backlight LED is located at the top of each key and they wanted the main key function to be illuminated better. The should have put the LED on the bottom of the key and made the layout normal.
The Gray keys are reflective and have low contrast so its hard to see the small letters on them. I am not a touch typist and have to leave their backlight on low or I can't make them out.
Each key has its own LED, so two USB connectors are required for the additional current. The dual USB cable is very thick and cumbersome.
The NUM, CAP and SCROLL lock indicators are too bright and not adjustable.
The O-rings take away from the crispness of the keyboard. I have a Rosewell (also with Cherry MX Brown keys) and it feels more precise and crisp, but much LOUDER. The O-Rings can be removed if you have a few hours to kill.
The left side of the keyboard has a sharp edge as the upper and lower halves don't mate perfectly. Maybe its just on mine.

Other Thoughts: I don't like the orange boarder on the programmable keys. It would be nice if it could be removed as it doesn't blend in at the office.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Mechanical Keyboard

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Cheap when on sale (90 bucks!)
Good backlighting
Macro keys can be useful for gamers with play MOBAs
Media keys are super useful

Cons: O-Rings weren't that great
Gray colors on WASD and Arrow Keys are a bit odd, but not terrible.
Macro keys take up additional space.

Other Thoughts: First off, I didn't really like the O-Rings. I tested with them on and off and there was very little sound difference. With the O-Rings, it didn't sound quieter, just different.
With the O-Rings on, it felt much more.. forceful in a way. Like it feels like the key is being blocked. I took out all the O-Rings and it feels much nicer in my opinion.

I accidentally hit the macro keys a lot.

So this is a great mechanical keyboard and I really like it, but I feel as if mechanical keyboards are a little overrated. Sure, if you have an extra 100 bucks this might be a good investment, but it'd probably be smarter to invest in a higher refresh rate monitor or a good mouse, but this is about mechanical keyboards in general.

If you want to get a mechanical keyboard, pick this up when it's on sale.

5 out of 5 eggsGood product

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Solid product...good feel and responsiveness on the keys.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I wish the lettering on the keys was larger...it would make it easier for me to visually recognize the symbols rather than little bright blurs. But that's the fault of my eyes, really...not the keyboard.

It'd be helpful if keyboard manufacturers started listing the symbol size of the keys so we could have a better idea what to expect when we open the box.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: I'm really surprised at just how much I love typing on this keyboard. I've had a Razer mechanical with loud clicky keys for a while, I was obsessed with them when they first came out. Recently, the Razer keys have been acting up and I washed it and am waiting for it to dry out, so I ran to the store and splurged on this keyboard for $90.

I was skeptical, but wow I really like it! Pros:

-Volume slider on the keyboard is MUCH better than the Razer's FN+volume keys. Quick easy volume adjustment.
-Feels sooo good to type on
-Nice looking
-Very sturdy feeling
-USB port is on the top, versus the Razer's where it's on the right side and can interfere with mouse movement if something is plugged in there

Cons: -Only one choice of color, white, for backlight
-Doesn't do the dishes

Other Thoughts: Only 4 eggs due to the single color selection, nothing's perfect!

5 out of 5 eggsSolid

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: I can be hard or keyboards and got tired of them wearing out or keys not working right after prolonged use but can tell this board is tougher than most just by the weight and solid feel of the keys as I type. Stayed away from mechanical because I don't like the noise but read the reviews on this one and gave it a go. Still a bit noisier than some boards that touted they are "quiet" but pleasantly surprised by the actual quietness of this one compared to any other mechanical I have tested while working in computer shop for over six years. Great product and would recommend to anyone. Great features and lighting too.

Cons: Can't think of a single con

4 out of 5 eggsGreat!

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: - Feels great
- Practically indestructible
- Tons of macro keys
- WASD + other keyboard illumination is great

Cons: - Very loud keyboard, if you're after quiet, look elsewhere
- Cosmetic, but the G keys should perhaps have an option to come in black
- Software for macros isn't the most user friendly

5 out of 5 eggsI love this keyboard !

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: Nice looking
Robust
Macro key for those who like this

Cons: Don't really like the logitech sofware

Other Thoughts: I put more than 1 year of ownership because it's the second g710+ I purchase. The first one broke because I spill some drink on it, and more than one time before it died... Anyway, great keyboard love it !

5 out of 5 eggsSolid so far...

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: In order of importance to me:
Keys (feel)
Anti-ghost (multi-key matrix)
Weight (mass of the board itself)
Software (see 'Other thoughts')
Adjustable Feet
Removable Palm Rest
Back-lighting

Cons: This is very minor to me, but I'll mention it here - the lock indicator lights for caps, num, etc. are quite bright and I have not found a good way to adjust them separate of the other back-lighting.

Other Thoughts: The build quality on this keyboard is really quite excellent. Having three simple levels of back-lighting for each zone is useful without being cumbersome. The media controls are simple and well thought out. The board doesn't seem to have a bunch of features that you don't really need.

I had reservations about getting a mechanical keyboard because I gamed on a laptop for several years and became accustomed to a low-profile keyboard. After taking the plunge to see what all the fuss is about, I have to admit that I love the feel of the MX brown series.

One of the main reasons I opted to go with a Logitech board in the first place is that I already own a Logitech gaming mouse and assumed that this board would use the same software that I already had installed. I hate having a different piece of software to control and configure every input device... Much to my pleasant surprise, the Logitech G software that was already on my machine recognized this keyboard almost instantly and integrated with it. Now I have one place to configure mouse and keyboard profiles for all my games and tasks. It's a wonderful thing!

5 out of 5 eggsamazing keyboard

This review is from: Logitech G710 Plus Mechanical USB Gaming Keyboard

Pros: cherry mx- browns, pre-installed rubber o-rings.
2 usb cables to ensure it has enough power for the LEDs and data transfer rate.
I love this keyboard. and the logitech gaming software is by far the better ones that i have used compared to other brands.

Cons: glossy finish leaves too many finger prints.

Other Thoughts: cherry mx-browns are now my favorite switches. it has the tactile feedback like the blues without the clicky sound.
