2 out of 5 eggsLogitech G710+ keyboard

This review is from: Logitech G710 PLUS USB Wired Gaming Mechanical Keyboard- Cherry MX Brown

Pros: Like the lighted keys as I'm working in a fairly dark environment and I'm a touch typist.

Cons: Keys are coming off the keyboard on a regular basis, Shoddy workmanship at best. I still cannot get used to having the symbols on the keys reversed, i.e. The numbers are on top of the other symbols such as the Dollar sign etc....And only the letters and numbers are lit defeating the purpose of a lighted keyboard in a dark environment.

Other Thoughts: I should probably return this keyboard as I do not play games therefore it is seeing very little abuse and the keys are not staying on. Other than that I wish it was ergonomic much like the Microsoft keyboard.

1 out of 5 eggsHard to RMA - hard to reach service dept

This review is from: Logitech G710 PLUS USB Wired Gaming Mechanical Keyboard- Cherry MX Brown

Pros: It works as advertised. Decent mechanical keyboard with responsive keys.

Cons: The lights on the qwerty row (TAB-q-e-r-t-y-u-i) stopped working. I attempted to contact Logitech support on October 25th. It took them until November 5th to even respond! After providing all the required information, including a picture of the problem, they told me I would get a shipping label in 24-48 hours (on November 7th). 6 days have passed since the last response, with no shipping label to date.

Other Thoughts: The keyboard would get a pretty good rating from me if Logitech would decide I was worthy of their attention.

At this point, I am afraid to send the keyboard in for RMA if they do give me the label... I'm not sure I would get it back.

As it stands, I won't purchase another product from them regardless of the quality if I can't get prompt attention with problems that arise during the warranty period.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard

This review is from: Logitech G710 PLUS USB Wired Gaming Mechanical Keyboard- Cherry MX Brown

Pros: Feels great when you type, extremely light weight, very responsive. The G keys work perfectly, no issues what so ever, easily programmable. All of the keys have back lighting, two sets of lighting, one for the direction keys (WSAD, arrow keys) and another for the rest of the keyboard. Has Media control buttons at the top along with volume control. All in all i'm liking this keyboard a lot. I recommend it.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsLogitech G710+ Chery MX Brown Mechanical Keyboard

This review is from: Logitech G710 PLUS USB Wired Gaming Mechanical Keyboard- Cherry MX Brown

Pros: -Media Keys to adjust volume, fast forward, pause, play, etc.
-LED White Backlight to help you see better when playing/typing in dark room at night time
-6 Programmable Keys
-3 Profiles Keys to switch in between them
-Macro Recording
-Cherry MX Brown Tactile Switches with O-Rings Dampener feel phenomenally comfortable and delivers exceptional bump feel
-Palm Rest to reduce wrist fatigue
-WASD and Arrow Key Caps are marked grey and it's well distinguished
-26 Key Rollover
-LGS Driver was simple and easy to install
-Whenever there's a problem with this Logitech keyboard, it is easy to contact Logitech customer representative, and then they will send you free UPS Return Shipping Label in order to get exchange.
-it comes with 3-year limited warranty

Cons: -USB Cables need to be fiber braided cable to enhance wiring protection
-Need couple hub switches to connect other peripheral devices for recharging MP3, camera, smartphone, printer, etc.
-LED Backlight doesn't turn off automatically by default when booting to windows with LGS.
-It's a bit prohibitive than competitor Razer Blackwidow, but you get good quality & service and reliability

Other Thoughts: -I wish there's LED Backlight settings in LGS Driver to manually turn off LED, and then use it at night time.

-Volume Scroll should be either Volume Speaker Tuner to rotate or make it more smooth to scroll down faster.

-Please make G710+ without O-Ring Dampeners and stick with Cherry MX Brown Switches (Soft-Tactile Bump switches).

-Palm rest easily comes out. Please make palm rest more sturdy and hard so that it won't come off that easily.

-Please add different color variations for LED Backlight including Green, Orange, Brown, Cyan, White, and Red.

1 out of 5 eggsRegretfully disappointed.

This review is from: Logitech G710 PLUS USB Wired Gaming Mechanical Keyboard- Cherry MX Brown

Pros: Tons of shortcut keys, looks nice, awesome backlight, sound and music controls on the keyboard is clutch while mid-game.

Cons: This is admittedly my first mechanical keyboard purchase. I've used logitech products in the past and never had issue. However I have to point out that after owning the keyboard for less than 1 year three keys have already broken completely off the keyboard.

The "W", "S", and "X" buttons cracked at the base and fell off completely. I can already sense that more keys are also on their way out as well. I am an avid gamer but I feel like the keyboard is marketed toward gamers and should be able to handle higher than average use.

Other Thoughts: I am an avid gamer, so perhaps my playing habits destroyed the keys...but I feel like the keyboard is marketed toward gamers and should be able to handle higher than average use. I don't mistreat the keyboard (no frustrated slamming or anything like that) so it should presumably hold up under normal usage conditions, especially at this price point..

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome keyboard

This review is from: Logitech G710 PLUS USB Wired Gaming Mechanical Keyboard- Cherry MX Brown

Pros: Looks very slick, feels robust.

Cons: The caps somewhat could have been better, but overall its a very nice and good working keyboard.

Other Thoughts: This mech board is one of the best looking imo. Its a nice board, specially for people with big hands. Love it.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Keys

This review is from: Logitech G710 PLUS USB Wired Gaming Mechanical Keyboard- Cherry MX Brown

Pros: I only bought one.

Cons: Had mine for 6 months, 3 broken keys and I can’t get Logitech to respond to me about replacements. I game a lot and this keyboard can’t stand up to being used daily.

1 out of 5 eggsVery Dissapointed

This review is from: Logitech G710 PLUS USB Wired Gaming Mechanical Keyboard- Cherry MX Brown

Pros: Nice keyboard with nice layout replaced a Logitech G15 that I had for over 5 years with the G710.

Cons: The Keycaps on this keyboard are made out of cheap plastic and break easily. Both of my CTRL keys have broke off in less than 1 year using this product. The first one I purchased was shipped to me with duplicate period keys instead of a period and a comma key and my first CTRL key broke off within a week of use.

Other Thoughts: After dealing with the problems that this keyboard has with the key-caps and also dealing with Logitech Support over this issue I would not recommend this keyboard to anyone. I really feel that the quality of Logitech Products and Support have really slipped over the past few years

2 out of 5 eggs1+ year owner disappointed

This review is from: Logitech G710 PLUS USB Wired Gaming Mechanical Keyboard- Cherry MX Brown

Pros: Heavy and solid build. MX Cherry Browns. Media control. USB connectors for mouse. Heavy duty stand up clips. The clicks are not loud.

Cons: Backlighting is all broken.; most of the top row does not light up at all and never has. The keys themselves are starting to break; the underside of the plastic cap where the '+' is. So now I have no key on one of my G macro buttons and also I am using the page down where my 'd' key belongs. I am not a heavy typer nor have I ever used the G1 key... no reason for the plastic to break underneath it. I don't physically abuse my keyboard either. Logitech drivers are a pain to find online because their website is faulty and half the time is down. about 3 months in the 'w' and 'e' key were very sticky for no reason. they loosened up again after about 4 days of very annoying use.

This was my first mechanical keyboard it it was recommended to me by a friend. He has had very good luck with his, but mine has been one of the worst keyboards I have ever used. It has only been a year or so and I can't wait to get another keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Keyboard, good deal

This review is from: Logitech G710 PLUS USB Wired Gaming Mechanical Keyboard- Cherry MX Brown

Pros: The Cherry switches feel great. The LED key light level control is broken into WASD/Arrow and everything else. I enjoy mine set to the lowest light level on the WASD/Arrows and everything else set to full off.

The price of the keyboard is really quite reasonable. The Cherry switches are somewhat expensive and you'd have a hard time making this keyboard yourself for $150.

The volume and mute controls are actually pretty handy.

The "Windows" button disable mode is awesome. In the past the very first thing I did to any new keyboard was pop those keys off and throw them away.

Cons: The keys are only whisper quiet if you don't bottom out your key strokes. Other wise there is some noise, but its not bad.

If you are not a touch typist, and used to aligning your fingers by looking at the letters, you kinda have to leave the WASD/Arrow keys LED lights on because you can't see the letters very well otherwise. Those keys are silver and the letters on them are white. I'm sure one could retrain to use the silver itself, but why?

The play/stop fwd/back buttons seems to need the media program to have the mouse focus in order to work. This kind of defeats the point of having the keys. This doesn't apply to the volume and mute controls, fortunately

Other Thoughts: The palm rest is just a plastic piece as others have mentioned, but I don't mind it at all. The mild flex from the weight of my palm is perhaps even a good thing. Its not permanently attached.

The cable coming from the keyboard splits up into two USBs about 12" from the end. One for the keyboard, the other for a pass-thru port on the back of the key board.
