1 out of 5 eggsStops responding

Pros: Nice layout & size. Great feel when it works.

Cons: How can Logitech produce something so bad. I bought a bunch of these for work and then one for home because I really like the feel of it. Unfortunately there is a serous flaw in this keyboard. It will intermittently stop responding for up to 30 seconds and then eventually burst out half of the keystrokes. This happens on all of the ones I have at work and this one at home. I just bought a new batch of MS keyboards - I'll probably have to through out all of these MK270s.

5 out of 5 eggsLogitech always makes good keyboards and mice.

Pros: -Wireless
-Easy to use
-it's a Logitech

Cons: -None

Other Thoughts: I bought this for a friend's birthday. I myself own a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse an I haven't had a complaint about it yet. Logitech makes good products and I would recommend them to anyone.

1 out of 5 eggsBad keyboard

Pros: It arrived in the mail.

Cons: It works intermittently. After 2 months it is now responding VEEERRRRYYYY slowly, with a burst of letters after no response about 30 seconds after typing. Built-in-obsolescence is supposed to kick in after a couple years, right?

Other Thoughts: DON'T BUY IT. Spend a little more on something that will last 3+ months.

1 out of 5 eggsWorks. Kinda. Sorta. Maybe. Not really.

Pros: * Feel of keys on keyboard is good.
* Keyboard will, with some probability > 0, faithfully send your keystrokes to the machine this is plugged into.
* Price point is attractive.

Cons: * You'll feel the keys a lot when you have to hit every one a dozen times to get it to register.
* Keyboard will, with some probability >> 0, *not* faithfully send your keystrokes to the machine this is plugged into.
* You get what you pay for.

I have had all sorts of trouble getting the keyboard to work properly. Attempting to actually type anything becomes a frustrating endeavor when keys have to be pressed 2, 3, 4 or more times to actually register (at random, mind you, so that you can't just double-stroke every key, which would actually be preferable). And, once the key stroke is registered, sometimes it's repeated indefinitelyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy until you frantically hit some other key to try to get it to stop.

I initially thought this might be a problem with the OS running on the machine at the time (Fedora 20), but have had the same problem with various other Linuxes, and will even about two times in 3 have "No Keyboard Detected!" at boot time, even with the adapter plugged in, so whatever problem there is comes into play even before control is handed off to the OS. Maybe it's trying to be too overzealous in power saving and cycling on and off?

This is used in an HTPC primarily as a remote control, which is the only reason I've put up with it for this long. But when it takes less time to install a VLC remote control app on my tablet and then SSH into the HTPC so I can configure VLC to talk to it than it does to type a file name in...there's a problem.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Keyboard

Pros: Price

Cons: Keyboard worked for a couple of days, when back to that pc a few weeks later and it no longer worked. replaced batteries, did all the tricks I could find on the web, nothing helps. Now it is out of the Newegg rma time.

Other Thoughts: If it had stayed working it seemed like a good wireless set.

2 out of 5 eggsNot real happy with Logitec stuff

Pros: I like the wireless features when working are great, no lag or dead times. Both the mouse and the Keyboard came with Duracell batteries installed.

Cons: First Keyboard died about 6 hours of use, but the mouse kept working. I had to get Newegg to replace, no problem there. The mouse is very small. Personally I bought this set as a back up only. The mouse would have to go if I used it everyday.

Other Thoughts: I always have had quality issues with Logitec over the years. I got this set to see if maybe they were getting better. Doesn't seem like it to me.

5 out of 5 eggsMK270

Pros: This is my 'Go To' keyboard/mouse combo. Compact KB, great battery life on both KB and mouse. I don't remember how many of these I've bought for both myself and other people? Does what you need, for a low price.

Cons: If you use the mouse on a desk-top with any texture, the 'feet' on the mouse wear out rapidly... Use a mouse pad!

Other Thoughts: Overall, best deal for the $$. It works, it's compact (doesn't use a lot of real estate on the desk). Wireless. No frills. Multimedia (volume/mute) buttons work great. The calc button is really handy? One push, rather than navigating to find a calculator? One-button E-Mail?
If you need a keyboard/mouse, you won't be disappointed? KB is almost silent, but has a nice travel for touch typists. Mouse has left/right plus wheel, and is good for anything less than ultra-precision.
For office or home use, this IS the way to go!
