5 out of 5 eggsGreat Wireless Keyboard!

Pros: I love the clean white look. It installed the drivers within a few seconds and was ready to use. I sit about 15-18 feet from couch and it still works without lag.

Cons: It does not come with batteries. The sticker under the keyboard was half peeled off and the plastic bag it was inside was open and wrinkled as if this was a refurbished keyboard.

Other Thoughts: I didn't lower the eggs rating since everything worked fine and the plastic wrapping didn't affect the functionality of the device. I will continue to order from Newegg, but hopefully they watch the packing.

3 out of 5 eggsIt works.

Pros: I can sit on my couch and use my PC when connected to my Flat Screen. The touch pad works well. It's light, which is what is desired in this application where it is carried from couch to couch.

Cons: The right shift key is small and out of the way, so touch typing with initial caps is problematic.

5 out of 5 eggsA Must Own If You're PC Is Connected To A TV

Pros: Logitech Quality
Small And Light
Touchpad Works Well
Nicely Located Left Click

Cons: Does not have a dedicated set of function keys. The function keys are shared with the media keys. Makes work in the Bios more tedious.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great product from Logitech. I've been using these for a couple years now and they are so handy for media center PC's and for when you have a PC hooked up in your living room. Key's are responsive and the things are nearly unbreakable.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid wireless keyboard/mouse combo

Pros: I got this keyboard after an injury to my arm that prevented me from using my normal keyboard/mouse set up, in the hopes that this would allow me to continue to work and use my computer. In this it was successful, and although it’s not without its issues it is a solid keyboard/mouse replacement.

The installation is very easy, just pop in the USB receiver that comes with the unit and let Windows install the drivers. Thats it. I think you can install a Logitech software package to use the function buttons, but I had no desire to do that. I like that you don’t need to do this and can use standard Windows drivers.

I would recommend using the USB port extender that comes with the unit instead of plugging the receiver straight into your computer for two reasons. First, I have had issues in the past with small USB plugs like this getting stuck on the case and being difficult to remove, and more importantly because giving some space between the case and the receiver helps remove the interference that your computer puts out that might reduce the effectiveness of the receiver since it is wireless.

Depending on what you are looking for the size is good. Its considerably smaller than your average desktop keyboard so the keys are compressed in their layout, but not so much that you will be constantly pressing the wrong key, although you do have to pay attention when doing a lot of typing. It’s not small enough to be one of those micro keyboards that you might see, but to me this is a good thing as it is still usable if you need to do some real work with it.

The unit looks nice enough as well. No one will be impressed by it but if you were to use it on a living room HTPC no one would be put off by it either.

The keys are chiclet style and feel OK in their response. There is not a lot of travel distance so if that is something you don’t like that might be an issue. The trackpad is fine, but that is about it. I wouldn’t call it bad, it is responsive and pretty accurate. It is similar to those that I’ve used in lower end laptops, and considering the price of this unit that is fitting.

Lastly I have a limited amount of space to test the range, but I had no problems using the unit from across the room. I believe using the extender on the USB receiver end is important for this.

Cons: The whole unit is not terribly light, but feels a little cheap. It is all plastic so that’s to be expected, but some might have an issue with that. Mine has held up well after a decent amount of use too.

As noted you would have to install the Logitech software if you want to make use of all the function buttons, and while for me this was not an issue it is a possible con for some.

The touchpad is not great, and it was at times a bit of a pain to use. This may be something you can resolve using Logitech software but I couldn’t be bothered. Obviously not a major issue.

Other Thoughts: If you want something to use for serious work this may not be the way to go, but I have done a decent amount of typing and web browsing with it without major issues. I took one egg off because it feels a little cheap, but for the price this is totally understandable. It would be perfect for light use on a HTPC or other machine that you don’t want to leave a wired keyboard/mouse connected to.

5 out of 5 eggsI'm a fan

Pros: I dig the keyboard. I didn't have any problems installing on Windows 7.

The range is sufficient for my needs, which is about 25 feet on one side of a TV stand and 20 feet on the other, with a half wall in between.

The touchpad works well for a touchpad.

I definitely like the left click key for the trackpad being duplicated by the esc key on the left side of the keyboard. It feels natural to hold the keyboard that way and it more relaxing for using the mouse.

All that said, I wouldn't write a thesis using this thing. It's very convenient for the livingroom HTPC but there were compromises made for the benefit of portability.

Cons: I haven't thought of any cons and was going to leave this section blank, but that isn't allowed apparently.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes everything I need

Pros: Has really good range even without the extender
Feels like a standard-sized keyboard
Trackpad responds well and can do Windows 8 gestures
Has Windows 8 hotkeys for the charm bar
Has a left click button at the top left of the keyboard
Comes with batteries
On/off switch
Plug and play
My computer recognizes the keyboard fast enough to enter BIOS

Cons: Lightweight - some people might find it a little flimsy... Personally I wouldn't mind it being a little heavier, but I've been using it on-lap and it's really comfortable
The shift key on the right-hand side is the size of a normal key and is on the outside of the up-arrow... this takes some getting used to, but I mainly use my left shift key for everything anyways
Tap to click is very touchy

Other Thoughts: The one thing I found frustrating about the trackpad was the VERY sensitive tap-to-click feature... I've never liked tap-to-click (IF I WANT TO CLICK, THEN I'LL CLICK). Fortunately, if you download Setpoint software from logitech, you can disable some features. Google search "tap to click logitech k400" and a forum explaining how to disable it comes right up... Other than that hiccup, I love this keyboard. I'm using it for my new HTPC gaming rig and its awesome.

3 out of 5 eggsThis Keyboard Is "OK"

Pros: It's Cheap. It's Convenient.

Cons: It's Cheap. It's Warped in the Center because of The Flex.

Other Thoughts: I Returned Mine. I don't think this is a Worthy Purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsI love these keyboards

Pros: Great size for HTPC's. The scrolling mouse works good and there's a mouse click button on the upper left of the keyboard so you can scroll with your right hand and click with your left. I have three of these and have not had any issues

Cons: Not back lighted

Other Thoughts: The keyboard is also good for a laptop or as a portable keyboard option

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well, just not good for long term typing

Pros: Gets great reception from anywhere in my living room and even a little outside of it. The battery life seems pretty good, still on my first set of batteries after a month.

Cons: Uncomfortable to really use. The keyboard is just a little under-sized making my hands sore from several minutes of typing with it. The touch pad doesn't really let your hand slide as well as most laptop touch pads do.

Other Thoughts: I use this to control a media bod in my living room and it's done a great job of that since I don't do significant amounts of typing with it, just starting up movies and games on it.
