1 out of 5 eggsEither it works, it doesn't or it appears to work

Pros: Keyboard came in a box nicely packed and "looked" clean.

Cons: Can see *stuff* stuck on top of keys.
Lots of keys that doesn't work

Some examples
Input : output
r : r1
i ; [sometimes nothing]
l : l [right click]

Other Thoughts: I've been pretty lucky with refurbished items, but not this time.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Keyboard is responsive and it feels good to type with it. Gaming has been great, and I've been able to keep typing at a high WPM, as opposed to the temporary replacement keyboard I used when my old one broke. These aren't mechanical switches, but they're a good cheap alternative.

Cons: I thought I'd like the backlight but it has gotten annoying. Fortunately you can disable it.

1 out of 5 eggsStay far away from this "refurbished" item

Pros: None

Cons: Arrived with 8 letter / number keys non-functional. Newegg blacks out the serial number on the item so you can't RMA it to anyone but them.

RMA process is abysmal. Customer rep has no idea how the item is sent and proceeded to ask me repeatedly if I was sure that was how the item was shipped.

Other Thoughts: Save yourself the hassle and order new.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: Backlighting. Gaming key to turn off windows keys and shortcuts. Programmable macro keys. Price.

Cons: Multimedia keys require simultaneous "FN" key press and faint orange multimedia symbols on front side of F keys hard to read. Location of macro keys may cause some confusion for those who don't type from the "home" position (F and J keys).

Other Thoughts: Working well for me for both work and light gaming. A strong value at the price I paid. Costs barely more than a standard keyboard...the backlighting alone makes it worth the extra few bucks. Gaming key and macro keys very useful (but there are not so many macro keys that the keyboard becomes gigantic and/or confusing).

4 out of 5 eggsGood Refurb! (Update)

Pros: (See 5/16/2014 review for more)

Replacement works like a keyboard should, this one was more thoroughly tested than the first. I tested all keys, 100% functional.

Cons: (See 5/16/2014 review for more)

Other Thoughts: The wife has been using the replacement keyboard for a few weeks now with almost no complaints. She likes it better than her previous Logitech keyboard, the only thing she misses is the dedicated multimedia keys, specifically, the volume controls.

2 out of 5 eggsBad Refurb

Pros: Nice looking keyboard.

Very affordable.

Keys (that work correctly) have a decent feel for non-mechanicals.

Blue backlighting is a nice feature.

Highlighted WASD keys is a plus for gamers.

Function keys could be useful (wasn't able to test.)

Logitech software utility makes it easy to customize macros, keystrokes, etc.

Cons: The "W" and "A" keys report together whenever you press only one of the keys. Keys are not physically stuck together, this is a circuit issue.

No dedicated media keys, only alternates to the Function keys.

Blue backlighting just bright enough to see with the lights on.

Non-skid feet are so small the keyboard can slide around during use on smooth surfaces.

Other Thoughts: Apparently the unit I received was not thoroughly QA tested prior to reissue, since 2 of the 4 most used keys for gaming (WASD) were not working properly.

Newegg has been great, however, during the RMA process, which I've found to be the norm, not the exception.

I will post another review (hopefully more favorable) once the replacement device is received and tested.

1 out of 5 eggsMakes a good paperweight

Pros: Back lighting, function keys, sleek and minimalist design

Cons: Sluggish, brightness defaults to highest setting, gray WASD keys is tacky even for a gamer, mine came without a functioning F key

Other Thoughts: Don't buy it. Despite being packaged in a plain brown box, nobody bothered to test the unit it seems.

5 out of 5 eggsQuick Replacement

Pros: The price, $24.99. other then that, the backlighting, I game in low light. I spilled coffee, (like whole 40 gallon cup) on my G110 keyboard and when to pull it from the desk I ripped the cord out the back, messed it up twice. So this was a good and good replacement.

Cons: None. except it does not take mental commands while gaming, which would be cool.

Other Thoughts: I think this is a good keyboard for the price, I paid $24.99, so what if it has 90 day warranty, for $24.99, I will take it. Better then paying about $100 for a gamin keyboard.
