5 out of 5 eggsAmazing! Don't listen to bad reviews

Pros: - Romer-G
- TKL design
- beautiful RGB
- less crazy than G910
- Build quality

This thing is very well built! I don't understand why people complain about the build quality. It's amazing how Logitech has managed to build it so sturdy while keeping it lightweight. There is barely any flex when you try to twist it. Yeah, the plastic feels cheap, but that's why they made it so light. The build is on par if not better than the HHKB Pro2 I have.

The switches are PCB mounted. I actually prefer these to the G810 I had before. I've always liked PCB mounted switches. They feel more 'alive' than plated mounted ones. It is very personal though. No, they are not meant for typing. Romer-G is designed from ground up for gamers.

Cons: - non-braided cable, not a problem for me
- terrible for typing, which is expected

Other Thoughts: I've used MX Red with O-ring to game for years. The moment I tried a Romer-G in store, I felt instantly connected. It's made for gaming. They are actually significantly faster than MX Red and you can feel the difference in game. I use HHKB for typing so I've got that covered.

Just get it if you are looking for gaming keyboard. For dual-purposes, you're better off staying with cherry switches.

4 out of 5 eggsOdd customer service...

Pros: It is what it says on the tin; a tenkeyless mechanical keyboard. I've been waiting for a decent RGB TKL MKB for some time now and this seemed like the best option for the simple fact the LEDs are centered to evenly illuminate the keys. I find the Cherry MX alternative distracting.
I can legitimately feel my typing is faster than before this being my first mechanical keyboard.
Actuation is near immediate. Hair-trigger keyboard.
Extremely quiet for a mechanical keyboard.
Special little stand you can pull out for a phone/tablet.
Some nice presets for the RGB LED effects.

Cons: I prefer TKLs with the numpad. Since numlock toggles between the arrow/home/end/insert/delete/page-up/page-down keys and the numpad; I see no need for that section of keys on "standard" keyboard layouts since it's redundant to have those functions both as dedicated keys and toggles within the numpad having numlock off.
The hair-trigger nature of the keys means even accidentally grazing keys will actuate them. This can cause the obvious typos, and more than a few lethal mistakes in games if not perfectly accurate with your blind typing all the time.
Still quite loud compared to rubber-dome keyboards. Resistance is extremely low and for a heavy typist like myself it's near impossible to not bottom out loudly. Will be looking into possible means of silencing the bottom-out. Bottom-out is also SIGNIFICANTLY louder when you use the raised position with the back feet.
The phone/tablet stand is POORLY suited for phones since they all take USB/charging in the bottom and the sides have almost no bezel. This means the front lip of the stand will cover a significant portion of the screen in landscape mode on phones.
ARX Control has not worked for me once since my first test use of the software. Yes I am configuring it correctly; but it's failing to sync PC status and is perpetually loading. I've not contacted support regarding this.
There are few presets for the RGB effects. Breathing, RGB color-shift, vertical rainbow, and horizontal rainbow. You can also color-code individual keys. Breathing, color-shift, and static colors can be synced to the new G502 Spectrum mouse, but not the rainbow modes. You can manually sync color-shift on the mouse to the rainbow modes, but lining up the speeds and timing can be tricky since you have to visually gauge them.

Other Thoughts: Now the reason for the title of my review is because my unit came with a defect in the spacebar. There was a 4mm protrusion of hard plastic coming out the center of the key where the LED light glows through. There were also two small scratches on the front face of the key I did not notice until first seeing the LEDs light up. I used some wire-cutters to snip most of the plastic spike off as it was going to puncture my skin trying to break it off. From there I filed down the stub to be flush with the surface. It's still got a bit of a bump there and is a visible annoyance so I contacted Logitech Support on the issue. I figured I could quick-talk them into just sending a replacement spacebar - nothing else. Nope; we had to do the whole dance of providing the serial number and filing a formal RMA. The time between emails in this process was partially my fault so I won't bring up how long that took, but in providing my full USPS address I was told they can't send to a PO Box and needed a physical address; which was included. So I told them in my response; "Then remove the PO Box line, the physical address is already there." And two days later I get a box from UPS the size of my leg. No joke and I'm 6'4". Inside the shipping box are two massive sheets of large-pocket bubble wrap and a smaller box the size of my keyboard and weighed just as much. I'm thinking; "No... you didn't send me a whole new keyboard did you? You only do that for products under $100 MSRP..." yet when I open it I see a keycap set. A full keycap set. Wondering why it was heavier than a keycap set should be I dug underneath it to find... another keycap set... and another... and another... 4? 4. Four total full keycap sets. O.O

4 out of 5 eggsTerrific for gaming, so so for typing.....

Pros: Small form factor TKL
Custom Romer G switches
Great keyboard for gaming
RGB lighting
Function media controls
Full N Key Roll Over
2 year warranty

Cons: Asymmetrical wrist rest that is fixed
Keyboard feels flimsy
Made of plastic only
Non braided cable
No audio or USB pass through
Slight ringing when keys bounce back

Other Thoughts: I’ve been a fan of mechanical keyboards since the mid 90’s when I typed with the original IBM Model M keyboard. Since then I have only used mechanical keyboards at work and home, the only non-mechanical keyboard I use is on my laptop and I hate using this to be honest.

Most modern mechanical keyboards use Cherry MX switches and the most common are the blue, black, red and brown. This keyboard uses a custom switch that was made for Logitech, the Romer-G and this switch is absolutely fantastic, hands down better than any Cherry switch I have used recently. It feels perfect to me, the keys themselves have a nice feel to them, the actuation point comes quickly and the keys don’t bottom out quite like the Cherry keys, so this is one of the quietest mechanical keyboards that I have ever owned.

Having said this, I must admit that in my opinion this keyboard feels cheap; it does not have a feeling of substance about it, being made out of plastic. The wrist rest is useless for typists being asymmetrical and not even designed well as neither of my wrists actually rested anywhere near it when typing!
The ARC Control dock is a joke, nothing more than a plastic stand, didn’t even allow my Nexus 6P to stand in it correctly.

This keyboard is easily the best gaming keyboard I have owned though, the keys are super responsive and a delight to use, the RGB lighting is customizable and you can easily set up profiles to color code the important keys for each game that you play. The keyboard is light and easy to pack away for LAN gaming sessions.

So where do I stand with this keyboard, brilliant mechanical switches, let down by ordinary design. Fantastic for gaming, nothing special for typing.

I guess I’ll have to wait for Romer G switches in a more robust metal clad, tkl design to have the ultimate mechanical keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsLogitech G410 keyboard

Pros: PERFECT...I am legally blind and use it on my lap on a leather recliner and the lower number of keys makes it just the right size. I also "touch type" and just love the feel of the keys....which are still blurry to ME but much, much more legible so I can find my "home row" on the keyboard.

Cons: It's probably me, but I'm unable to change the colors of the keys but it's still ok though as they are fine the way they are.

Other Thoughts: Yup. it's a winner....well worth the price for me....as I said before PERFECT!!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsSmall but great, perfect LAN Party board.

Pros: LED changeable lights via the software.
Smallest keyboard I have ever used. Easy to pack and move.
Mechanical switches feels great for typing and gaming.

Cons: Small keyboard, no ten key numbers.
Cell phone holder is just a plastic stand. Little under whelming

2 out of 5 eggsDo not buy this

Pros: RGB lighting, short throw mechanical switches, quality key caps, n-key rollover.

Cons: Awkward non-removable wrist "rest", cheap build quality, rubber key stoppers, no metal key mounting plate.

Other Thoughts: I'm both a typist and a gamer coming from long term use of mx brown and blue switches on filco, ducky and cooler master keyboards. The logitech g410 is a solid disappointment on all fronts of why you would buy a mechanical keyboard. Shorter key throw is about the only pro this keyboard but you can get that from a better feeling scissor switch design. Most generic Dell keyboards feel the same as this one both in build and in key actuation.

5 out of 5 eggsG410 - awesome

Pros: I hate the "tactile' response with most gaming keyboards. I think it's pointless and noisy. These Romer-G keys are perfect for just that reason. Nice, quiet, and functional.

The actuation at 1.5mm is definitely noticeable. The key is barely halfway pressed before it actuates.

The RGB lightning is top notch also. There is nearly ZERO bleed-over into the other keys.

I've been in the market for a good, small, and not loud gaming keyboard for the last few years. If the keys were quiet, then usually the rest of the keyboard was junk, too big, or consisted of too many features I didn't want to pay for. I was even using the Razor Blackwindow TE for a time, and I find this keyboard to be much more comfortable.

Cons: I've smaller hands, so keys this size always feel a bit too big for me. Though, the 1.5 actuation strokes make up for this. Nothing do dock an egg over

Other Thoughts: The Arx control app Logitech uses to monitor and manipulate (some functions of...) all your Logitech gear, was awkwardly stable and seamless. Literally, the only thing I did was download the app, connected to my wifi, and it searched for my computer and detected all my Logitech hardware. It even has PC hardware monitor. Though I've my doubts, considering there is such bad reviews on the app store for it. Cool concept though.

I also didn't buy this off Newegg, as they're sold out. I got it at a local "Center of the Micro" for around $120.
