4 out of 5 eggsEverything I wanted

Pros: -Quite (not silent) keys that have a distinct feel and sound when pressed
- Nice glow on the LED, with changeable LED settings
- 5 max profiles for MACROS, that you can change instantly
- The macro program is difficult to learn at first, but allows for very specific macros and customization
- The keyboard and wrist pad are very sturdy
- very RED glow, not pink at all
- decent tech support (live is good, email is bad)

Cons: - You cant set the extra macro keys to open programs
- The macro program is difficult to get the hang of at first

Other Thoughts: Would buy again, but probably wont have to buy another key board for a very long time. If every company made products that felt this sturdy, life would be grand.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for me

Pros: Fantastic keyboard. Every key is mechanical and the brown switches are amazing to type on. Backlight looks great and is nicely adjustable. Macro editing is easy in windows, I only use linux however. Once the macros are set in windows they work perfect in linux though.

Cons: None really. Its occasionally squeaky but its rare and doesn't bother me.

Other Thoughts: Cooler Master should really opensource the macro editing program. I know a lot of the linux community would be more enthusiastic about choosing a keyboard if there was a nice linux program.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard. It broke. Now I have to pay to replace it.

Pros: Heavy, so it doesn't move on your desk.
Cherry MX Brown keys feel fantastic.
Macro keys are executed in the keyboard hardware - so you can do things that Windows doesn't like such as Ctrl-Alt-Del and opening the cmd window as administrator. VERY awesome feature for programmers.

Cons: It broke after a month of use when I attached it to a new computer and installed the drivers. I'm not whining about LEDs not lighting up like most complaints. The entire keyboard stopped working. And yes, it is broken on other computers as well.

Computers will recognize when it is plugged in. The plug and play driver installer even correctly says "CMStorm Trigger Pro" when installing the driver. But the keys don't respond! It lights up the WASD and cursor keys, like I had set it to previously - but NONE of the keys work. I can't switch profiles. I can't activate my hardware macros. I can't even change the LED lighting.

And now they want ME to pay to RMA it.

Other Thoughts: My rating of one is entirely due to your company requiring me to pay for return shipping. That is unacceptable.

Also it boots up slowly, so on some computers you can't access the bios. But this is barely a problem since most BIOS are really slow.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Please contact us so we can rectify the situation via the Live chat link below.

Respectfully,

CMUSA Customer Support.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard!

Pros: * Pleasant non-intrusive red backlight
* Keys feel smooth and very good
* Keys are not wobbly in the least and go straight down
* No problems entering very-fast loading BIOS or anything else
* Useful wrist-rest
* Really, it's a great keyboard!

Cons: * None I can think of! I don't care about using my keyboard for USB-pass-through, as I plug in any occasional peripherals into my case. Kind of awkward to plug and unplug stuff from a keyboard anyway.

Other Thoughts: Some general advice:
* use a different mini-USB cable--a softer one to avoid possibly loosening the mini-USB port

* When changing the Trigger Key to function as Windows Key, don't forget to set the profile afterwards--press Trigger Key + F1 to activate the first profile and remember it

* If you find mechanical keyboards loud, try using O-rings to dampen the bottoming out sound. Search a major retailer (starts with A) for "Buna O-Rings 50A" and get a package of 125 rings. Install a ring under each keycap = sound dampening.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent Keyboard

Pros: Great feel, quality build, nice wrist pad

Cons: caps lock does not have that small break away so it is really easy to hit the caps lock, must download CM Storm Macro editor for macros to work. Windows Key does NOT function unless you download the macro editor which is annoying because i have the worst operating system (windows 8) and anyone who has the greatest displeasure of using it knows you need to have that key working to access anything.

Other Thoughts: Wish it shipped with the power adapter so that it can actually light up. Save your money and wait for the Vengeance k90 or k95!

4 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Tactile Feed back
Backlit
USB Hub

Cons: Software is Buggy
Doesn't Come with 5v Adapter(gives you an extra backlight setting)

Other Thoughts: This keyboard does type REALLY nice but the software is what killed me. I wanted Macro keys so I could launch Programs with it. I haven't been able to figure it out.

2 out of 5 eggsBig Mistake

Pros: Cherry MX Brown keys; backlit

Cons: Software is junk. Keyboard is practically unusable in Win8. Keyboard won't work through any USB hub. Keyboard forgets macros and profiles regularly.

Other Thoughts: This keyboard was a huge mistake. I should've bought the Rosewill keyboard instead.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Nice texture on the keys.
- Backlit
- Media keys (although this can easily be reproduced with AutoHotkey on another keyboard. The Trigger just has media symbols on the F5-11 keys).

Cons: - Keys are a little narrow.
- Backlighting on the F1-12 keys is a little spotty (some of them don't show the backlight very well).

- About a month after purchasing the bottom row of keys + enter stopped working. Submitted a support ticket to CM's customer service and received no responses despite a follow-up.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad except software

Pros: Pros: First of all.. Newegg is a pro. Buying stuff from Newegg Comes fast and easy. Love it.

Back to the keyboard... got a great deal on it. It feels solid.
braided cable is a LITTLE BIT short but doable.
The wrist pad is real nice.
The keyboard stays put
Typing experience is pretty good

Cons: As many before me have mentioned.. the software is pretty bad. Very hard to understand what is going on with the macro setup.

Also the BLACK LIT LIGHTING is covers only half the key on some keys. and does not light upt he entire key. For example ':' would light up but ';' would not. I was pretty dissapointed about that. call me picky...

Other Thoughts: Great keyboard. highly recommend for 60 dollars.
I would not recommend for full price though.
If you're paying full price... go with something better. I know I will. (DAS or Widow Ultimate)

5 out of 5 eggsgreat keyboard

Pros: I finally decided to upgrade keyboards and I'm glad I went mechanical. The keyboard feels great for typing and smooth for gaming. I've been buying a lot of products from cm lately and they haven't let me down yet. The keyboard is sturdy and doesn't move once put down. I hope to have this for a long long time.

Cons: The red lighting is only on the bottom of the keys which is kinda strange but only noticeable on large keys.

Other Thoughts: You can't beat what you get for the price in this keyboard.
