1 out of 5 eggssecond keyboard...

Pros: Great lighting and responsive. I have the brown keys now on their newer one after my red key one had a malfunction.

Cons: This is the second one I have now after my first one was replaced under their warranty. This one is now having similar issues as my first one. Certain keys will cause random commands such as, ALT tabbing and shutting off my computer. I really like this keybaord while it worked.

Manufacturer Response:

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with this keyboard again with your replacement. Just to confirm, please double check by using another USB cable and checking to see if the issue repeats on another computer for us. Once confirmed, please contact us right away by calling 888.624.5099 or visit our Fanzone for Ticket/Livechat links. We'll help to get this resolved for you and we apologize for any inconvenience.

We'll be waiting to hear from you,

4 out of 5 eggsGood Keyboard

Pros: I got this when it was on sale so the price was good.
The keyboard construction is sturdy and is a good overall keyboard. It is pretty much what you would expect for a generic keyboard.

Cons: For what it is it is a great keyboard, the only downside is that there is no option to illuminate all the keys.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Mechanical Keyboard

Pros: Cherry MX Red switches, extremely durable, very heavy (won't move unless you want it to), very nice matte finish, awesome looking LEDs, different LED modes, gold plated detachable USB cable.

Cons: Can't seem to activate N-key rollover or toggle between 8ms, 4ms, 2ms, or 1ms responce time (all other FN keys work except the 6-key rollover, N-key rollover, & the 8-1ms respnce time keys).

Other Thoughts: Wish the keyboard was fully backlit

3 out of 5 eggsWorks for Now

Pros: Nice weight, seems sturdy
Partially back-lit keyboard (didn't mind this feature as much, some wanted fully back-lit)
Keys are responsive, function keys are handy

Cons: As others have stated there are sometimes issues when you start up your computer with this keyboard. The bios will hang for a minute, and when the OS finally does boot the keyboard won't work so I have to try replugging it in multiple times and restarting the computer. I've double checked to make sure that the miniusb connection on the back is secure, once you hear it snap in it seems pretty stable.

I had luck recently by plugging in the keyboard into a USB 2.0 port instead of a USB 3.0 port, but not sure how long it'll last.

Other Thoughts: Running a Gigabyte AMD motherboard with Windows 7 64 bit.

When it does work, it works great.

3 out of 5 eggsYou can do better

Pros: It is a solid mechanical keyboard that is decently priced for a full sized layout. A great price if you get it on sale for 60$. It has rubberized feet on the back which was a nice touch and the cord is of very high quality.

Cons: The partial back lighting's looks nice but in in practice doesn't cover enough keys to help you play at night. The price is good but you can find better deals on higher quality keyboards if you look around. It is manufactured by iONE, which is far from a beacon of quality in the keyboard world, and that lack of quality is noticeable.

Other Thoughts: While this is not a bad keyboard, I would recommend to anyone reading this to check out other deals and to read reviews and forums before making this purchase

1 out of 5 eggsif you own amd, forget it!

Pros: nice keyboard, cherry mx keys, nice cord.

Cons: worthless if you own an amd motherboard! stops at boot screen after first use, spent months rma'ing to coolermaster who sent back the same model keyboard. The first keyboard worked some of the time, but would crash occasionally, the replacement worked once. Coolermaster acknowledged the problem, but refuses to replace or swap for another coolermaster product. Newegg refused to refund anything or swap either. All in all very frustrating, a lot of lies, so I can't even give it an egg!

Don't buy this keyboard with a gigabyte motherboard!!!!!!

Other Thoughts: I have never had such a bad time with customer service, coolermaster promised an upgrade to their storm trigger, which apparently they don't make anymore. I already own and use daily 2 quickfire pro keyboards with no issues. The numbers pad must cause a lot of problems!!!!!

Coolermaster has a labyrinth to go through for an RMA, have an attitide, and don't stand behind their products. Sad day as I have purchased thousands of dollars worth. Will keep that in mind for future purchases.

Newegg dropped the ball on this one, should have said only intel pc's not PC

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Chris,

We sincerely apologize for the confusion. The RMA process involves creating an online account, registering the product under your name and providing a reason for replacement. If the RMA process gives you any trouble, please contact us so we can be of assistance. In regards to the keyboard itself, please mention the situation so we can provide a solution for the trouble. 5 out of 5 eggsExactly what I paid for.

Pros: I thoroughly researched the types of switch there are and decided red switches were the right type for me. After searching much of the internet this keyboard stood out due to it's price and features. After a week of ownership I can say it has preformed exactly as I hoped it would.

Cons: As many others have said it's a tad tedious plugging in the cord. I mean you really gotta jam it in there. (No pun intended)

Other Thoughts: I wish it were fully backlit, but I knew it wasn't when I bought it so no biggie.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice little keyboard, very responsive, and feels like touchdowns. The red back lighting looks nice with the rest of the system lighting up.

Cons: At first the back lighting lock+light key combo wouldn't work but tried again later and it worked. The detachable USB cord at first was a pain in the rear end where it seemed like it was plugged in but wasn't. Every so often there's no power to the keyboard, pushing in the USB shows it's in all the way, a little wiggle/reconnecting brings it back to life.

Other Thoughts: It'd be nice that instead of just the left hand side and a few keys at that if the whole keyboard would light up.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: USB input designed in a way that it won't get ripped out - which is a huge problem in the rosewill mech keyboards.
Cherry red switches.
Lettering looks to be long-life.
Very low price!

Cons: Keys feel like cheap plastic
No wrist pad
n-key rollover advertised in PS2 mode - no PS2 cable.
Ugly font

Other Thoughts: I liked my rosewill RK-9000RE more, bought this after RMA gave me a refund instead of a replacement.
