4 out of 5 eggsPretty decent keyboard (Cherry MX Blue)

Pros: This was my first keyboard (Blue switches) and i really enjoyed it. I love the click clack sounds from the blue switches and the build quality is pretty good. Cool LED backlit features. Has an hand rest which makes it very comfortable.

Cons: After a few months of using this keyboard, I noticed that my WASD keys started to fade and that bugs me a lot. Not sure if other cm storm trigger owners has the same problem though.
Also because of the material (not sure what it is) of the keyboard it collects LOTS of dust and its kinda annoying to clean.
And the wrist rest started peeling off. That didn't bug me as much as my fading key caps.

Other Thoughts: Overall I thought it was a pretty decent keyboard for the price. At the time I got this keyboard for $75 it was on sale and did the mail in rebate. But i would not get this if it were full retail price. For $110 I'd much rather pay 20 more to get something better. Right now I'm looking into DAS Model S or a Corsair vengeance k70.

2 out of 5 eggsLove the keyboard feel but...

Pros: Nice heavy stable on the desktop keyboard. I have the Brown switches. Keyboard feel is great. Keys are responsive and just the right amount of pressure needed. Not too clacky. Love the red lights and the heartbeat. NIcely done. Looks great.

Cons: The default profile died. CM told me to download the software and try to repair it. No go here. It just won't type unless you have the software open on the desktop. Can't set any other profile either. So no typing for me. NO gaming either. Sent it to Cooler Master in August for RMA. Still waiting on my replacement. Called them numerous times and they say that a new version is coming out and to please wait for it. They say this all the time. They sent me a lower end keyboard as a we are sorry this is taking so long gift while I wait for my replacement which is nice but it is not what I paid for. It is now November and I am still waiting. I call them and it is still not available.

Other Thoughts: I really liked this keyboard. It is cool looking and feels great. The software for it is not the best. Just want my replacement. Please CM when is the new version coming out. Last Customer service guy said this month. The one before said last month. When?????

2 out of 5 eggsI am a cm fanatic but...

Pros: Full Cherry Switches, no membranes to be found
lighting and lighting profiles are nice
solid overall build quality

Cons: OK so i bought this keyboard a little over 2 months ago if i recall, and I got it with the power cable i bought for it from the cm-usa store, I use the keyboard on my lap as i have no desk, I have never so much as bumped the cables but if i so much as wiggle, the keyboard loses connection, and since i plugged in the power cable the first time, now the keyboard wont work without it, by day 2 the braiding on the USB cable receded from the mini end. cont in other

Other Thoughts: the braiding is low quality, however i knew that ahead of time as same thing happened to my inferno mouse, and last but not least i have to almost slam on the "n", "m", "L", and a few other keys in that region of the keyboard to get them to actuate, for a keyboard that i payed half a weeks salary for this is unacceptable cm

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Mechanical, macro, and multiple lighting options on keys. The heavy keyboard sits very still on a glass desk and doesn't move which is a plus.

Cons: Wrist rest plastic started to deteriorate after a few months of use. For the price you pay I'd expect better quality.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear valued customer,
I'm very sorry for the troubles. You can request a replacement wrist rest for your Trigger using our Part Request form under warranty. If you need any further assistance, don't hesitate to contact us directly!

2 out of 5 eggssecond RMA and my thoughts

Pros: they keyboard is great! works good look sleek keys are nice.
the keyboard is perfect EXCPET for the redswitch style.
see cons.

Cons: cm storm did some "tweaking" on the triple size keys and on the red switches it TERRIBLE it LITERALLY feels like going from a red to a green switch. Its' sticky foggy and sounds like dried coke is under the keyswitch (enter, backspace, shift , numpad + and numpad enter.) i thought i had a defective one so i RMA'd but the second keyboard feels exactly the same as the first. storm assured me that their shouldn't be a differance using examples of black green and blue BUT nobody can confirm the red switches. and seeing as 2 red switch triggers have needed rma. im assuming this is factory intended. i personally am getting a refund. If you like cm storm and red switches then go with the quickfire xt or pro. have had them both and they are perfect.

Other Thoughts: to be honest. if your not picky about your red switches then this is a great keyboard. Sadly I'm more picky about my mechanical keyboards and switches. so this keyboard was a bad fit for me.

2 out of 5 eggsfeel ok, pretty fragile

Pros: Good Feel, LED backlit

Cons: I have the blue switches, they are pretty loud. This keyboard has a cheap and extruding USB mini port that connects it to the computer which is really inhibitive and fragile feeling.

The keyboard itself can take no abuse whatsoever, already RMAed one, and this one is having the same problems already, just spend the same amount on a tougher one.

2 out of 5 eggsHeres the truth.

Pros: the keyboard is great. no driver issues, plug in play, full backlight, cherry reds. good switches (see cons) overall a great keyboard. why the 2 star then you ask? READ THE CONS.

Cons: the shift L/R the enter and the backspace are not "REAL" cherry red switches. CM storm added some kinda different switch and yes its a cherry red but it does not in any way feel like a cherry switch. cm storm said this about the triggers extra wide keys have "different stabilizer switch than a traditional key." If you want a REAL full cherry red switch feeling keyboard get the quick fire pro. but DO NOT GET THE TRIGGER.

I miss plenty of keystrokes while using shift or backspace because of this "design" and no its not a defect. its factory intended. (already sent cm storm my complaint letter). I have always loved cm storm and bragged about them till today.

this "key" design for the bigger button/switches literally feel like im going from a red switch to a green. and my pinky KNOWS the difference. it makes your brain feel like you havn't actually pressed the button because it feel like you have spilled soda or soup gunk under your key. I am filling out my RMA right after I warn you guys with this feedback.

Other Thoughts: Great keyboard EXCEPT for the shift L/R, enter and backspace. If you can get used to it then their is nothing wrong with the keyboard.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear valued customer,
I'm very sorry for the troubles. I personally use a Trigger with Cherry MX Black keys and my Shift, Enter, and Backspace keys feel like any of the others. If yours does not feel as they should, please do not hesitate to ask us and if you're under warranty, the RMA option is always available. Contact us if you need any support!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard

Pros: Great feel and sturdy
Detachable wristrest is very comfortable (if you don't like it just simply don't attach it on)
LED lighting is very clear and bright

Cons: The customization software is a bit confusing at first but its not too complicated. I had to manually find the software on their website to download (which confused me at first because I thought that it would come with the keyboard). It's not bad but could be more user friendly.
Power cord plug, where it plugs into the keyboard itself (I think its called a mini-USB???) could be more solidly built. It connects fine and doesn't disconnect or anything but it does feel a little flimsy and wiggles with slight touch. Nothing bad will probably happen if you just leave the keyboard on your desk and not drop/pull it but just a thought.

Other Thoughts: This is my first mechanical keyboard and I have to say I can see why all my friends say that mechanical keyboards are so good. I'm used to flat keyboards because of my laptop I've been using for years but I'm adjusting to this keyboard quite nicely. Overall, a great product and I'd recommend it to all.

2 out of 5 eggsGood Keyboard but limited function and bad support.

Pros: Nice keys but with Cherry MX switches, that should be expected. Keyboard has a excellent rubberized feel.

Cons: This keyboard has macro functionality. Is this functionality present? Yes. Is it good? Absolutely not. Coolmaster should have invested some more time in the design of their keyboard software.

The program is buggy, you are very limited in how you can program macros, it is cumbersome to apply and modify macros, very complicated to use because it has no menus or other explanation or options.

Additionally, coolmaster support is among the worst of any company I have dealt with when it comes to PC accessories. Even trying to post on their message board is impossible.

Other Thoughts: Isolating the keyboard itself: The product is good and feels sturdy. However, this is a key that advertises macro functions. With that in mind, this is the WORST programmable keyboard I have ever used.

Microsoft and logitech both have much better software for macro progamming.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear valued customer,
We're sorry for any troubles you had with the Trigger. Please feel free to contact us via email or Live Chat so we can help solve whatever issues you're having.
