5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard

Pros: The keyboard itself is very big and sturdy, feels like it was put together well.

The keys are very clicky which is what I wanted. Typing is very smooth on this keyboard, and its noticeably easier and more comfortable to type on. The layout of the keys is very standard and not all shifted like my last keyboard, and it feels good to type long paragraphs with.

While it might be considered a con, I think the fact that the USB cable is removable is very convenient. My keyboard sits on my desk so I have no worries about unplugging it on accident even if I do move it around a bit. The cable is also braided, and its pretty thick too.

The RED LED's in the keyboard aren't obnoxiously bright even on the highest settings. It hasn't been distracting to play games with the LED's on, even at night.

The removable wrist rest is pretty big, which I like, and you can insert it into the keyboard without having to pick it up. Very comfortable to play games with as well.

Cons: Having to re-assign the Storm key to the Windows key is annoying. But you only need to do it once.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor support

Pros: Everything relating to the keyboard itself is magnificent. The switches are just as they should be, the backlighting is brilliant, and the macro keys are just awesome. If it were just relating to the keyboard, 5/5 eggs hands down.

Cons: The Cooler Master/CM Storm support is dreadful. I put in an inquiry (#2373) on March 20 of this year about a replacement part and got a response NINE days later (on March 29th) stating that I can get replacements at major retailers, and the support rep told me I could reply back to the ticket. I did, explaining that the keyboard's manual states that the part is proprietary and I wanted to buy a replacement from CM Storm.

Twenty six days later on April 24th, I went to check on the ticket to find it had been either deleted or considered "solved." I then submitted another ticket (#9515) pointing out that my issue had not been resolved and I have yet to receive any response twelve days later on May 6th. Not even a reply telling me that they do not offer replacement parts.

Other Thoughts: I did not purchase this product through Newegg. Newegg is always awesome.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard!

Pros: This keyboard is great for anyone that plays any kind of PC game. The sound that this keyboard makes with every single key press is a great sound that just makes you feel good. Even when just typing out a few sentences on facebook, the sound and the response is so great. The pressure needed to get the key to press, is pretty low, so be prepared for that, but that helps out in my opinion, it makes for a more tactical feel when gaming. You honestly can't go wrong with this keyboard. I was a little nervous when I saw the price at first, but then I figured that I would actually give it a shot, considering all the high reviews, and honestly, NO disapointment at all. The LEDs are absolutely beautiful with four different settings that can add to any mood you may be gaming in. The wrist rest makes me wonder how I ever got along without it. The rubberized surface of the keyboard is a great feel.

Cons: The only three cons I can think of are the lack of a windows key, but that is fixable by a download from the cooler master website. Also, the driver is giving me difficulty in downloading it. Finally, the rubberized surface, while a great feel, I predict will be a bit of a dust magnet. Otherwise, it is a great keyboard that I highly recommend to everyone.

Other Thoughts: This keyboard is amazing, even though I've only had it for a few days, I really feel like this keyboard is gonna take my game to the next level.

5 out of 5 eggsKnow what you're buying.

Pros: Don't own this keyboard.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I don't own this keyboard. This keyboard features 6 Key-Rollover. To the guy who gave this keyboard a 2 star review because he clearly doesn't know what that is, that is why only six keys showed up when you smashed on your keyboard. Your Sidewinder features 20+ key rollover, so you do the math. Don't put your tech level so high if you can't perceive the difference between a low-end backlit mech board (like this one, try a Ducky if you're looking for a Premium backlit mech) and a relatively premium membrane keyboard (the Sidewinder). Just some food for thought. Also, the keyboard shouldn't need to be idiot proof. Buy a washable Logitech keyboard if you think you should be able to pour water all over your electronic device without damaging it.

5 out of 5 eggsSimply Amazing

Pros: Cherry MX Blues
Clicky Sound
Tactile

This keyboard is absolutely awesome, I love typing on it. The keyboard itself is made very well. It's sturdy and not cheaply made.

Cons: Programming the Macro Keys was a bit confusing and could of been made clearer and more straight-forward. However, it's not worth knocking an egg off.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I love this keyboard and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a nice tactile, and LOUD mechanical keyboard!

3 out of 5 eggsAlright if you like Cherry stabilizers

Pros: Inexpensive
USB hub
LED backlighting
Good build quality (made by Costar)

Cons: LED backlighting
Cherry stabilizers instead of Costar stabilizers

Other Thoughts: I picked this up because the price was right and I wanted an inexpensive mechanical board to bring into work. I absolutely love my Filco tenkeyless at home but didn't want to spend that much for work. I just couldn't get past the feel of Cherry stabilizers and the backlighting didn't like to change modes so I returned it and picked up a Rosewill board. No rebate and the build quality seemed just as good as the CM and nearly as good as Filco.

5 out of 5 eggsthe coolest

Pros: Keys feel amazing I've never had a mechanical keyboard. I wanted a full size keyboard for programming and typing with macros to switch between virtual desktops and this fit the bill. Was actually not as loud as I thought it would be, it's definitely not a good idea if other people are usually in the same room as you but I don't think it will travel past a closed door. Double taps are amazing, it feels like the key doesn't move but somehow knows what I want to do.

Competitively priced quality product. Now my case and keyboard have matching logos.

Cons: I am coming from a saitek keyboard and I made a ton of misclicks playing dota, this is mostly cause I used to rest my hand on the edge of my old kb which is now macro keys and the escape is not in line with the numbers. Will just take some getting used to. I have to say also that I dont like how the shift symbols i.e. ~!@#$ are not illuminated. In the picture they look almost white but in reality they will be like a red to clear fade from the one LED in the upper part of the key. I was kind of expecting the bottom row of the number keys to light up when I held shift :)

Other Thoughts: I use linux and to get the M1 key to be usable I had to remap it to XF86Launch9 from XF86Tools. M2-M5 are XF86Launch6-8.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard

Pros: Great keyboard. Cherry MX blue keys sound great :D. Wrist wrest is nice and rubberized.
Satisfying click sound that you get with the cherry MX blues.
I got this with a 25 dollar off code and it's been worth it so far.
The lighting features are great on this keyboard. You can select to either have the whole keyboard lit up, WASD and Arrow keys along with m1-m5 keys only. You can also set it to a glow mode. It looks like the keyboard breathes practically. You can adjust the brightness as well with this, somewhat noticeable but not that great of a difference.
Great mechanical keyboard overall and I am very happy with my purchase :D

Cons: Keys aren't rubberized but it's still great.

Other Thoughts: Glad this was on sale when I saw it! Caught it at the last moment before it went back to its original price.

Be sure you know what MX switches you want to go with though before you buy! MX Blue might not be for you if you don't like a somewhat loud keyboard.

2 out of 5 eggsNot what I expected

Pros: My first mechanical keyboard
- Looks good (100% mechanical)
- Blue switches (Sounds and feels great, and gives a nice tactile response to help you type more precisely).
- 2 usb ports.
- LED backlit.
x Media keys (see cons)

Cons: EXPENSIVE for what you get..
Accessing the features like the media keys, lighting brightness/modes is not very easy, especially if you want to access the windows start menu with your win key...

The macro system in general is kind of finicky, and isn't as good from what I had previously.

I can only press 4 keys at once, sometimes 5...
My last, MEMBRANE, keyboard (microsoft sidewinder X4), was better!
Why?
It was far more responsive, as in it would let me press as many keys as I wanted at once.
If I slammed my hand down on the keyboard, or just tried to spam random gibberish, it would show every key press.
Unlike the CM storm trigger...

qadfhp (This happened and I put my hand down on the entire keyboard) - CM TRIGGER
zaqcxdswerfvbgtyhnmjuik,.lop (Put my hand down on the entire keyboard) - Microsoft sidewinder X4

The wrist rest is nice, but it's very VERY big.. A little too big IMO (size is 2/3 of the keyboard itself)!!!

My INS, HOME, and END key do not light up (I removed the keys, and it appears the LED bulb is not there!!!!!!)
I dropped about 1ounce of water onto the wrist rest, and the ctrl key (right ctrl, (which I don't use)) was permanently held down (not physically, but software/OS wise) until I unplugged it, wiped it down, and plugged it back in.

There are no drains for liquid, so if you spill anything on this, it's dead FOR SURE.

Other Thoughts: Ultimately, I love the keyboard, but it just has so many flaws at this point and time. The only advantage this keyboard has are the mechanical keys.

Hopefully, some point in the future, they will make a mechanical keyboard with waterproof drain holes, added keys at the top for media, maybe MODES for the macros, and even a calculator button of some sort.

Microsoft got it right with the sidwinder x4!
But I don't think I could ever go back to membrane keyboards after feeling the nice, tactile feel of blue switches.
I've tried black, which are mushy and sluggish.
I've tried browns too, but the bump is just disgusting and makes typing feel a bit awkward.

All in all, 2 eggs due to the actual keyboard not being very good (feature and simplicity/ease of use wise).

5 out of 5 eggsPretty much perfect

Pros: - Fully mechanical with a switch of your choice (I chose blues)
- Fully red LED backlighting
- Five macro keys
- Very comfortable wrist rest
- Perfect keyboard layout - normal
- Two-port USB hub
- Media shortcuts (such as vol up/down with Macro key + F9/F10)
- Rugged look

Cons: The software isn't as great. The USB hub can't handle some devices that need a lot of power. The LED backlighting only lights the top of the keys (where the letters are), so characters such as ; and , don't get illuminated (because they are at the bottom part of the key.

Other Thoughts: Well worth the cost, my choice out of literally all keyboards. Not too certain on the detachable power cable; would have thought CM would be more sure about their cable, especially a braided cable.
