5 out of 5 eggslethal

Pros: Very nice, heavy, sturdy feeling keyboard. it feels like it would make a worthy weapon to choose against a home intruder or a friend during a LAN event. ten keyless +numpad design is awesome.

Cons: barely any. only problem ive had is getting used to the arrow keys being integrated into the numpad.

2 out of 5 eggsSTAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE

Pros: Cherry Mx Switches, backlighting

Cons: Currently processing an RMA because keyboard would not connect via its USB during bootup. Got it working by disconnecting and reconnecting mini USB after bootup. But would not reconnect after shut down and restart. Did this about 3 times and gave up. This is a high cost keyboard - it should work better than the $25 variety.

Other Thoughts: Cooler Master should stick with PC Cases and coolers. They obviously don't test these keyboards at the factory. Currently running WIN 7 on a custom built PC with ASUS M5A867 motherboard, AMD Phenom II X4 955 CPU, and 8 GB memory.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi LTC Kohl,

We are sorry to hear you are having trouble with our keyboard. Please double check with your motherboard manufacturer on this issue as some bios updates do fix this problem with the usb ports. If you require replacement, please do contact us via the Live Chat link below.

Respectfully,

CMUSA Customer Support.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: weighty, well constructed, almost no flex.
removable usb cable. (mini-b)

Cons: the numlock enter key only works when in numpad mode, just a minor annoyance, not worth deducting an egg.

Other Thoughts: having used blue switches in the past I personally prefer these reds over the blues. i lightly bottom-out the keys when i type so the 'click' and 'bump' of the blues is wasted on me. the reds are lighter than blues but not drasticly so. most of the 'lightness' comes from the lack of a tactile bump.

this keyboard uses cherry stabilizers for the long keys which definitely dont feel as light as the costar stabilizers on my old (dead) das keyboard model S.

the included usb cable appears to be 'braided' but feels like a typical plastic cable sleeved with braided cloth and is not nearly as supple and flexible as you might think it would be. the 'braiding' is purely aesthetic.

the numlock key switches between the numpad and missing 'middle cluster' of keys and is a little awkward to use so if youre someone who makes regular use of both the numpad and 'middle cluster' i wouldnt recommend this layout.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: LED back-lit.
Mechanical keys.
Excellent build quality.
Small footprint.
USB.
USB cable is is fairly lengthy.

Cons: Arrow keys built into calculator keypad, meaning you have to have one or the other disabled depending on the need for use.

Price.

Other Thoughts: I wish I could have found this keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches, and with the arrow keys and the page up, page down etc, separated but its not worth docking and egg off since the small footprint is an awesome bonus.

I've only had this keyboard for a day and already I absolutely love it. It's a bit pricy, but so far I feel it's worth around $80. if the function keys were their own separate keys, I could see this being the $100 it is.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Keyboard

Pros: bought this to go with my first PC build and I love it. Keys are very responsive and i like that you can adjust the brightness or just highlight WASD. Nice when youre playing with the lights off.

Cons: none that I can think of

Other Thoughts: I know there are better gaming keyboards out there but if you don't want to completely break the bank i'd say this is a pretty good choice.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: MX reds. nice and quiet.
Back lighting.
Different modes of back light.
win lock key
long backspace, shift, enter, etc...
FN lock option
single numpad

Cons: Getting used to the single numpad takes a while, but its fine once you get it down.

Other Thoughts: I've been using this for a while as a main rig keyboard, and It's working fine even though I'm not going to LAN parties. Love it. Awesome for gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Very nice MX red switches. After moving to this from my Razer Blackwidow that had MX Blue switches this thing is so quiet compared.

Nice beefy weight, I never feel like its gonna slide away. I love the rubber they used on the feet.

Also love the detachable cable. Great for going from LAN to LAN party.

Cons: The numpad is a little weird, mainly do to the fact that when your in the arrows/Home/Del setup all the keys are lit while when your in the 10key, 2, 0, 00, and . are not lit. Also Enter doesn't work when your not in 10key mode.

Neither issue deserves removing an egg. The keyboard is fantastic!

3 out of 5 eggsHad this for 2 months

Pros: BackLid. 10 Key less size. Mechanical Keyboard. it is a beautiful keyboard.

Cons: Enter Key on the numpad does not work with numlock is off (insert, home, etc mode). Why cant they make the enter key always active?
When numpad is on, number 2, 0, 00, and "." does not light up, make it seem like its off.
Not sure if 6 or n key roll-over is activated.

Other Thoughts: After this keyboard, I personally do not like red switches anymore. For gaming it is great, but for typing, i am making so many more mistakes. be warned. Unfortunately they dont have browns switches available. There is no software for this keyboard, so firmwares and key remapping and etc are not possible.
