QuickFire Stealth Mechanical Gaming Keyboard -
CherryMX Blue Switch

The CM Storm QuickFire Stealth is a refined version of the popular QuickFire Rapid keyboards aimed at purists and the gaming elite.

Featuring top of the line CherryMX switches, adjustable repeat rates and unique covert keycaps, and designed without a ten-key pad - the QuickFire Stealth is the mechanical keyboard for minimalists or gamers looking to switch up their style.

Blue Mechanical Switch (Click Feedback / Low Resistance)
Ideal for typing or gaming, the QuickFire Stealth comes equipped with renowned Cherry MX Blue switches for low resistance and click feedback, as well as a 50 million+ keystroke life cycle for ultimate durability and reliability.
Covert Key Caps
The defining characteristic of the Stealth are its unique keycaps. Icons and letters are printed on the front side of the keycaps, which provides an incredibly sleek, clean and stylish look.
Compact Design - Sans Ten-Key Pad
Provides a more comfortable, natural setup for mouse placement. Compact size is great for portability and for smaller work spaces.
CM Storm Trusted Durability
The internal steel plating ensures your keyboard won't flex or break. The covert key caps last longer than normal keycaps because there is no finger friction to wear away the print.
Removable Braided USB Cable with Routing
Prevents tangled wires and provides extra flexibility for your keyboard positioning.
Superior Responsiveness & Keystroke Efficiency
The QuickFire Stealth can have multiple keys pressed at the same time in PS/2 mode without conflict, providing an incredible advantage for gamers. Repeat rate adjustments allow commands to be issued quicker and faster. PS/2 adapter included.

2 out of 5 eggsFailed in 6 months

This review is from: CM Storm QuickFire Stealth - Compact Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with CHERRY MX Red Switches and Covert Keycaps

Pros: It's a great sized (small) mechanical keyboard. I actually got the version with Cherry MX Browns.

Cons: The "o" key failed in 6 months. No gaming. No banging. Just office work. It looks like CoolMaster will take the product back. Early in the process though. Warranty lasts till June 2015

Other Thoughts: I'm not a big fan of where they printed the letters. Kinda' small and hard to see.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful

This review is from: CM Storm QuickFire Stealth - Compact Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with CHERRY MX Red Switches and Covert Keycaps

Pros: This keyboard is gorgeous. It is really simple and understated which is exactly what I was looking for. I am switching from an original Logitech G15 to this. First of all the Red switches are quiet. Almost as quiet as my old keyboard. That was a surprise, because I thought they would be much louder than they are. The keys are very sturdy and extremely consistent. This is the first mechanical keyboard I've used and it does take some getting used to, but once you're used to typing on it it's great.

Cons: I don't like the LEDs on the CAPS lock, scroll lock, and windows lock keys. They are very bright and hard not to look at, especially in the dark. However, I never use them or have them on anyways, so it's not a problem. The cable was pretty difficult to plug in as well. It's a tight fit in the back. You have to force it in pretty good, but it does fit.

Other Thoughts: If you're coming from a non-mechanical keyboard, the switch is not as scary as you would think. I can't speak for the blue or brown switches, but the red switches are amazing. They feel lightweight, but sturdy, and are about as easy to type on as a non-mechanical keyboard. Typing is a little more audible than you might be used to, but it is not nearly as obnoxious as you might think. It is the most satisfying keyboard I have ever used to type with.

The "stealth" keys are absolutely gorgeous. I thought I might not like them at first, but they are easy to look at if you have to, and easy to ignore if you don't. I recommend using PS/2 mode if you can. It gives you increased access to the keyboard (repeat rates) without taking up a USB slot. Couldn't ask for much more than that. The keyboard does sit a little higher than most other keyboards. I don't even use the lifts in the back. However, I like my keyboards to lay a little flatter than most people prefer I think. The keyboard sits normally at about a 10 degree angle. With the lifts up, its about double that. Possible a little more. Also, if you're going to try PS/2 mode, try shutting down your PC plugging it in to the PS/2 port, and starting up from there. That's the only way I got mine to work. I'm pretty sure it was because of my motherboard though.
