4 out of 5 eggsWatch the packaging, newegg...

Pros: Great k/b

Cons: Came in a 6" high box but K/b was right on the bottom...

Other Thoughts: Newegg, train your shipping clerks that putting an item right against the bottom of the box is likely to cause an RMA - and it'll be Newegg's fault, not UPS's...

A product like this, that's only one inch tall, should have an inch (or more...) of packing material below the item and one inch (or more) above it...

I ordered this with another keyboard and three mice (I was buying spares...) and the two keyboards were shipped separately - from two different facilities. The other KB was packed better... the three shipments arrived on three different days, too

5 out of 5 eggsGreat item

Pros: Affordable. Well built. Reasonably quiet keys.

Cons: ???

Other Thoughts: I've had mine for years now, and I've spilled drinks on it more than once, had to empty it of crumbs several times, and used it with several different kinds of OSs. It just works, and works, and works. The only board I have so far that's outlasted this one and is quieter when typing on is an OLD IBM.

I like it so much I'm buying another one or possibly two before my old one dies just in case they ever get hard to come by. Plus there is some gunk that won't come off of the keys that I don't even remember how got there. Point is, it takes "life" and keeps on chugging away and cost very little.

Buy it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value

Pros: This is a simple, well priced, and well made keyboard. This makes a great backup keyboard.

Cons: The design is very bland.

Other Thoughts: For the price, this can't be beat.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent cheap keyboard

Pros: Good enough for those who work in cubicals.

Cons: Wouldn't use it personally... feels as good as the price!

5 out of 5 eggsDoes the trick!

Pros: This is a basic keyboard, and it serves its purpose for someone who just needs something that functions properly and doesn't require laptop-style or mechanical-switch keys. If you don't mind the rubber-membrane style of keyboard, this is a solid one.

Cons: None that I can think of - I never had any issues with it missing keystrokes or anything along those lines.

Other Thoughts: None.

5 out of 5 eggsMy favorite around-the-house keyboard

Pros: Small, lightweight, and unadorned – no excess plastic or gadgetry to distract from typing. It has a nice, big Enter key. It's rugged and takes a beating (trust me). It costs < 20 bucks.

Cons: Seriously, this is a great board, but I've used ones that were easier to type on. Not saying it's hard, but the keys have a lot of travel and aren't particularly widely spaced. Still, this has more to do with my typing abilities than it does with the construction of the keyboard.

Other Thoughts: I got this not through Newegg but at a local brick and mortar chain called MilwaukeePC, because I was looking for something inexpensive but reliable. I needed another keyboard to use with new system builds (which I do a lot of). During one of my recent projects I played several hours of Battlefield: BCII multiplayer while testing a new machine and I actually found it just as easy to use as my main keyboard for the most part.

I've dropped it a couple times and stepped on it once (don't ask, but I move around A LOT when I'm working on a PC case) and it works as well as ever.

Very simple driver profile, so in most cases (including Linux) the keyboard is ready to use seconds after it's plugged in.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth the $

Pros: Fairly cheap, but this Lite-On is half the price and feels much better. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823107120

Cons: Feels cheaply made, the feet to raise the back are so mickey-mouse it's a joke.

Other Thoughts: Get the Lite-On instead. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823107120

4 out of 5 eggsDecent mid-range keyboard

Pros: Needed a few basic keyboards to replace broken ones - this is what we got.

Ordered a few of these - all worked.

Cons: Nothing

Other Thoughts: Sometimes I swear it types keys I didn't hit, but I can't confirm it. Nobody else seems to have the problem and I've only used the keyboard once or twice.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap, Functional.

Pros: Works fine, build quality seems good for the cash.

Cons: It doesn't have much in the way of 'features', but you shouldn't be expecting it to.

Other Thoughts: Plain, simple, gets the job done, seems built well. What else can you expect at the price?

3 out of 5 eggsGood as a backup

Pros: Great Price, Keytronic Quality, decent feel to the keys.

Cons: This keyboard is ok for public setting use such as a library or as a backup keyboard for an advanced user.Otherwise the backspace key being so small will aggrivate you. Its not a bad keyboard, its just really basic.

Other Thoughts: If you are prone to spill coffee and drinks on your keyboard, then get this.
