Pros: Sturdy

Cons: When trying to log in the keyboard would auto generate a symbol into the password field and so us unable to login.

Other Thoughts: Sent the first keyboard back for an exchange, second keyboard was defective as well spent almost $30 including the shipping for a keyboard that did not work, will not buy another KeyTronic keyboard again.

2 out of 5 eggsGood keyboard, major flaw -- too sensitive

Pros: The keyboard works and has a good layout.

Cons: The keyboard is on the verge of being useless due to how much you have to press the keys down when gaming or even sometimes typing. When I depress a key it works about 95% of the time but other times it simply ignores my input. Even in writing this review every 10 words or so I had to go back and re-enter a character that was missed. (and no I am not really bad at typing ha!)

The biggest issue with the keyboard, due to the key sensitivity, is that it is too inconsistent to use in video games. As with most FPS games I have to press and hold the WASD keys for a long time. Unfortunately with this keyboard the slightest movement of a finger holding a key down can result in a key up event from the keyboard, stopping any previously initiated movement. (ie. Moving forward with W down and then moving my finger 1mm to the left on the W key resulted in a key up event for the W key

Other Thoughts: As the owner of an older PS2 Keytronic keyboard of the exact same style the keyboard layout is exactly what I wanted and was used to.

If the issue with sensitivity were resolved this would be a perfectly fine keyboard I would likely use for a decade.

5 out of 5 eggsThis is a great keyboard...

Pros: The best part of all about this keyboard, which I'm using to write this review, is that it comes equipped with a USB plug - NOT a standard PS/2. This means it's ready to plug in and use right away, and without having to restart your system. DUH!!!

My older Keytronic 5-pin DIN keyboard, which was simply a hand-me-down from my elder cousin in Texas in 2002 (it was built in '96), had to make use of a PS/2 adapter in order to work. This adapter got to where it just wouldn't stay connected to the motherboard's socket. So I decided to replace my old keys with this model here. Good choice, since my entire system is pretty much beige, but it is still able to run Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit without a problem.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: My board, for some reason, came with a loose asterisk key on the keypad side of my keyboard. Fortunately, since my older keys were also made by Keytronic, I simply took the asterisk key from that board and snapped it onto my new board. This solved that problem. End of story.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's a basic keyboard....no frills
Plug+play
If you hunt+peck you'll find the symbols on the keys are large...that's a plus.

Cons: none
Does everything I need it to do.

Other Thoughts: I had one of those flattish keyboards and found it difficult to use.

This keyboard is more upright and has raised keys...much better.
