5 out of 5 eggsGreat value

Pros: Low key travel, functions mapped to F keys accessible through function button, dedicated volume keys, slim, light, cheap

Cons: None that stand out

Other Thoughts: This keyboard is very slim and light, making it ideal if you need to move it around a lot for whatever reason. The keys are pretty shallow and flush against each other, facilitating fast typing. The keys have just the right amount of depth and push-back for me: much better than I was expecting for the price (I was honestly expecting somewhat of a mushy mess).
Very good keyboard for those who want something cheap and like more shallow keys.

5 out of 5 eggsSecond One

Pros: Cheap
Slim
Simple / No bull layout
Sharp, tight feeling key feedback.
Fairly durable.

Cons: Keys will break if you're not careful while cleaning.

Other Thoughts: This is the second K72357US that I've owned, I replaced my previous one after almost 5 years of service. In the realm of non-mechanical keyboards, this is hands down the best bang for your buck. Many prefer full size keys, but using this on a desktop in conjunction with a laptop you use back and forth makes typing back and forth between the two a breeze.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Enough

Pros: I'm pleased with what I got for the price.
Good for a chicklet kbd.
Sturdy for a kbd of this price.
Plenty of MM keys for those who use them.

Cons: Odd layout, but that is part of how they made it compact.

Other Thoughts: Why the giant delete key? Maybe because they had to make one large and figured delete key would be most useful.

2 out of 5 eggsMeh.

Pros: + Thin and flat form factor allows for less vertical kink in the wrists if you don't always lift your arms like you're supposed to (like me, that is).
+ Multimedia keys and laptop function keys are useful.
+ Key caps have a "stepped" shape, making it harder to fat finger the wrong keys.

Cons: - The black plastic shows dust and crumbs easily (which all seems to collect in the dado formed by the stepped keys). Must be cleaned semi-regularly.
- Keys require a lot of force, have short travel, and have an unpleasant "thud" at the bottom of the stroke. Terrible feel, even for scissor switches.

Other Thoughts: Bought this keyboard because it had multimedia keys and because the layout was closest to my laptop (alt key placement was a concern). The feel put me off immediately, and I never did get used to it. Because of how stiff the keystroke is, after 18 months of occassional use (it's my laptop dock keyboard), I still often miss keystrokes because I'm not striking hard enough. Even after limited use over not that long of a time, keys started to fail yesterday. I say good riddance.

5 out of 5 eggsHighly recommend

Pros: * I never had this layout with the big delete key and the insert key on the same level as the F keys. I like this change, so it's a pro for me. They also didn't make the mistake (in my view) of putting the Fn key in the bottom left corner instead of the control key. They really thought about how people type.

* Typing is great. Responsive, easy-to-press, snappy. Laptop-style, which is what I was going for.

* Nice slim look. Black, so people can't see the inevitable ugly stains I put on this baby.

* Great price. Does not feel cheap. Feels sturdy. I browsed the local shops (some big and some small) and any slim keyboards with this feel were $80+. Keyboards in the <$40 price range basically all suffered from having mushy/wobbly/cheap keys.

* Highly recommended if you want a quality slim, easy-to-press, laptop-style keyboard.

Cons: * Bumps on F and J keys aren't raised that high or thick and no key lighting. These are miniscule problems.

5 out of 5 eggsSmooth and Silent!!!

Pros: Smooth typing and nearly silent keystrokes. If you are tired of loud clacking keyboards, get this and never look back. Volume controls and additional function keys are just a sweet bonus to an otherwise awesome keyboard. It's very much like a laptop keyboard, except full size. Also, this is a solid, heavy keyboard (definitely real metal inside), so it doesn't move around during intense gaming sessions.

Cons: Slightly non-standard key layout for navigation keys and Home/Delete keys. Not a huge issue for me since I am not a touch typist. I actually like the oversize Delete key.

Other Thoughts: Windows 7 had to load drivers for it to be recognized, which was something I didn't expect (probably due to the function keys). I totally love this keyboard after only a day. Hopefully, it will be as durable as it is smooth and silent.

5 out of 5 eggsMost ergonomic keyboard I've used.

Pros: This thing feels great. An absolute 5-star keyboard. It almost makes me want to type. I wanted a keyboard that had key pressure similar to my laptop. I finally found it--at an affordable price. If threw away my Kinesis Freestyle2--Supposedly a fancy ergo keyboard. This thing blew it out of the water for 1/3 the cost. It has good weight and standard layout too. No drivers required for the Fn keys to work.

Cons: Keys may show ware after some use.
It doesn't do my laundry for me.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect keyboard.

Pros: Perfect size, perfect layout, perfect keys.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I've had 2 of these so far and will get more when the time comes. I do a lot of typing, and while the finish of some keys has been worn off, all lettering remains exactly as it was when I got it.

2 out of 5 eggsOdd key placement and undersized board

Pros: Good tactile feel for all-day coding / IT work

Cons: Keyboard is not full size
Odd placement of cursor/navigation keys

Other Thoughts: I bought this KB because I prefer the feel of my laptop's keys when I'm working (as opposed to gaming, where I use a mechanical KB). The key feel is good, but still requires more force than my Latitude E6430.

However, I soon realized that I was making many navigational errors and my productivity was suffering. Comparing it physically to other full-size KBs, I see that while the individual keys appear to be full-size, Kensington compressed the space between the main block of letter keys and the cursor/navigation keys. They also moved the Insert key to the top row and inexplicably enlarged the Delete key, placing the lower half of it next to the Enter key! If there's two keys that should never be next to each other, it's those!

Trying to navigate with the cursor keys is equally as frustrating, as they are also "compressed" next to (and under) the main block of keys. I was constantly hitting down instead of left.

If this was to directly replace a laptop KB, where the owner has to get used to every manufacturer's model for quirky key placement, then perhaps it would be OK. As a desktop KB, the placement is odd at best and dangerous (Enter and Delete next to each other!) at worst.
