5 out of 5 eggsGood Keyboard

Pros: -Mechanical switches (Cherry MX Black).
-VERY sturdy.
-The wrist-rest is nice.
-The cable is VERY, VERY, VERY thick and heavy, and definitely reflects good build quality.

Cons: This is my first mechanical keyboard. I have been using a laptop keyboard for many years, so making the transition from membrane keyboards to mechanical ones has presented a few challenges. Namely:
-Getting used to the travel distance of each keypress. The keys don't depress too deeply for my taste, but I am not used to the longer travel length yet.

Other Thoughts: -The keys will actuate HALFWAY through their total travel length. That means you don't need to fully depress the key in order to actuate it. This may or may not be a pro or con for you.
-I do tend to type very firmly, so the mechanical keyboard really feels good, and the satisfying soft *click* the keys make when they are pushed all the way in is so satisfying. Mind you, the switches are not clicky, I just type with a lot of force.
Overall, I would highly recommend this keyboard to anyone interested in trying a mechanical keyboard. No fancy machros, screens, or software. Just a good keyboard.

4 out of 5 eggsNice keyboard

Pros: Good price for a mechanical keyboard. Feels very sturdy, thick cabling, this thing feels like it will last a long time.

Very very responsive in games, I upgraded from a logitech wireless keyboard and while it isn't a game changer for FPS games it is definitely noticeable in playing a RTS like Starcraft.

No windows key on the left side, it is replaced by a FN key.

Cons: Keys are not lazer etched and are already starting to fade! This is the key reason for me to give it a 4star review. While I have been playing a lot of CSGO recently the WASD have already started to fade after only a few weeks. My old logitech wireless was used for years and the keys show no sign of wear.

FN Key and the f1-f7 keys do not respond as quickly as I'd like. I use the FN and Volume key while I game and whatnot and they just are not incredibly responsive like I want. Not worth drawing off on the score, but just something to note.

Other Thoughts: The switches require a little more actuation force than i'm use to and my fingers have had to adjust for sure. My fingers get a little tired after a lot of typing, but the overall experience is still positive. I am able to type faster and more accurately while typing on this verse my old logitech.

5 out of 5 eggsMoney Thrown Wisely

Pros: Fastest Keyboard
Usb hub + headphone and microphone in
Can press every key at the same time

Cons: No key remover included
Look somewhat cheap, but doesn't feel cheap
Wrist Rest is a joke

Other Thoughts: This keyboard throws money at the right things.
Instead of throwing money at LED's and macro keys you aren't going to use. It throws the money at being able to press every key at once, and the keys being able to be pressed in short amounts of time very quickly.

It's not the flashiest looking thing, but it preforms out of this world. I can't do justice to it through words, it's something you have to feel. I would say you get the mechanical keyboard feel, you get something past that.

5 out of 5 eggsAnother great TT eSports product

Pros: I've played with quite a few Mechanical Keyboards and switches. Browns, Reds, Blues... But this is my first time with Blacks, and well... I love them!

- Likes:

-Great weight on the Keyboard means it wont be sliding around while gaming.
-Black switches cause you to push a little bit harder so you don't end up "fat fingering".
-Not overly noisy like Blue switches.
-White color is very attractive and doesn't get dirty like I thought it would.
-Logo's are tasteful and not over done. Not to mention durable.
-Windows key on left side replaced with a Function button for audio settings, very useful and easy to use with one hand.
-Built in USB ports work flawlessly along with the 3.5mm jacks as well. Very convenient since my case does not have front ports. I now have a new place to put my flash drive without having to reach behind my computer.
-LONG cable makes cable routing easy without fear of length issues.

Cons: - Dislikes:

-Does not come with a removal key for cleaning the keyboard.
-Price is a little higher than some of the competition.
-Non-removable power cable for LAN travel makes it a little more difficult.
-Despite liking the cable length, it is a little thick to make up for the USB and 3.5mm jacks.

Other Thoughts: - What would I change?

A few issues I had with this keyboard are easily fixed. Include a removal key, it's a fifty cent tool that goes a long way with consumers.
Could use a small price decrease, but it's not so much that it's not worth it, because this is a great keyboard.
Remove that 3.5mm headphone/mic jack from the keyboard, would reduce thickness of the cable making a removable power cable easier to do.

- Would you buy/ recommend it for a family member / friend?

Absolutely, this is a great keyboard. The Pros HEAVILY outweigh the Cons and I can't think of a better mechanical keyboard I've used in a years. It doesn't have a bunch of unnecessary buttons that would be confusing to some. I thought macro buttons were the only way till I found out that I never really used them.

Overall this is another great product from the Thermaltake eSports lineup. If you're looking for a keyboard in this price range, It's well worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsBlown away.

Pros: Had quite a few different types of mechanical keyboards that I was debating on; finally decided to make the jump with the Meka G1 and I am in love. If the quality stays consistent and Tt continues to deliver, I'll keep my eye on their products.

Cons: None thus far, we'll see after a year or so of ownership. :)

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth buying!

Pros: The cable is extremely heavy duty. It has the audio and USB extension built into a single heavy fabric coated cable.

Cons: Headphone port has an annoying hiss.

6 months after owning it certain keys started either sometimes not entering when pressed, or more often double inputting. First it was my "O" key, then soon "I", "L" and now "E".

Needless to say this is EXTREMELY annoying and I feel like a fool for spending $100 on this piece of junk.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Simple layout.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This keyboard is nothing short of perfect. It's not loud at all. The black switches are perfect for me, they're not even very resistant as you would otherwise believe. The whole keyboard is all in all a great keyboard and I highly recommend it to anyone weather you're just getting your fist mechanical keyboard or if this is to replace a current mechanical keyboard.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: very sturdy build, all the keys are rigid. I switched to this from a g15 and haven't looked back, the difference really is night and day. The layout is the best for gaming

Cons: The chord is fairly short, it can put stress on the connector/wires. my r key died after just a year of use, which surprised me for such a well built keyboard.

Other Thoughts: If you don't need macro keys or flashy lights, this keyboard is amazing. I'm questioning the QA though, mine lasted far too short for this keyboard/price

4 out of 5 eggsNice!

Pros: Nice braided cord, usb slots, excellent response time, no issues (other than backspace key going out <1 year). Currently attempting to RMA but otherwise this is my first mechanical keyboard and I've enjoyed it with mostly gaming applications.

Cons: Backspace key went out but I would assume this is not a common problem. Very pricey, but it is mechanical.

Other Thoughts: Wish more people manufactured mechanical keyboards available in North America.
