5 out of 5 eggsVery solid keyboard

Pros: First mechanical keyboard, I bought it on the shell shocker deal for 49.99. Thing is quite nice compared to the plain keyboards I use. It feels sturdy, durable, and of great quality. I like how it clicks when I type. Not really loud and annoying but kind of an assurance that it works well. I honestly don't game much with the keyboard, as I use my wired Xbox controller instead. Comfortable and I like the white-black and red theme on it. USB ports are also nice, I only have two front USB ports on my case so it's nice to keep everything connected.

Cons: Keys are pretty small, I often end up hitting letters I don't want to type. No LEDs I guess but I wasn't going for a maximum featured keyboard with a ton of features I wouldn't care about. Also make sure you plug in the right USB port. I thought I had a messed up product but I just had to use the other USB. Not labeled very well

Other Thoughts: If you can find it on sale, I don't see why anyone wouldn't get this keyboard. High quality so far and also relatively simple.

1 out of 5 eggs4 key stopped working

Pros: it qualifies as a mechanical keyboard.

Cons: My 4 key stopped working after 34 days. Gaming is much harder on a gaming keyboard when number keys aren't operable. Wish I could give it 0 stars.

Other Thoughts: Will never buy from Thermaltake again. I've spent hundreds of dollars with Newegg and this is the only item with which I've had any trouble whatsoever. No thanks.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mechanical Keyboard

Pros: Great mechanical keyboard for anyone who is in the market for the MX Cherry Blacks. I bought it when it was $59.99 and its still worth it.

Solid build doesn't feel cheap.

Cons: None that I can think of besides it being on sale a few weeks after I bought it haha.

4 out of 5 eggsGood keyboard, odd choice of labelling.

Pros: The keys all just work. Coming from a background of more conventional pressure sensitive films I am amazed at how much of a difference a mechanical key makes.

The board itself is hefty. Once you put it somewhere it'll take a lot to make it move. That's an infinite improvement over chasing a keyboard upward in my book.

The finish is bizarre, in a great way. It's white, but it doesn't stain. Mild oils, pulverized chips, and peanut butter wipe off with a damp paper towel. Between that and a quick blast of compressed air I haven't had any problems with grime building up.

Cons: Two things hold this keyboard back from being truly awesome. The placement of the ports (backward facing), and the lack of labels on the USB ports.

It's a problem to have to turn the keyboard around when I want to plug a USB key into it. Side mounting the plugs would have given easier access, and made everything just work.

The pictures are, unfortunately, accurate. Telling which USB connection is the hub and which is the keyboard is trial and error. Ditto for the audio (mic and phones) jacks. That's a minor complaint, but it really makes the initial setup a pain.

Other Thoughts: Would I recommend the product: yes.

How did I get the product: a community reviews program from Thermaltake.

If you're on the fence, go for it. This keyboard is great for gaming, but isn't a slouch when it comes to data entry. I can honestly say that I retired my old keyboard and am not looking back.

4 out of 5 eggsdecent HD

Pros: Fast,reliable so far haven't had it long enough to actually say it's the best, for the price though for 2TB you can't beat it for storage or even gaming

Cons: Doesn't come with any software like it states, which seems about right because that's what everyone else is saying aswell other than that I gave it 4 eggs cuz of no software

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Was a fan of the cherry black switches. Cable and overall construction felt good. Ports on the back of it were a nice touch.

Cons: Backspace switch stopped working after not even two weeks. Sometimes have to hit it 8-9 times to get it to register.

5 out of 5 eggsNice feeling Mechanical

Pros: The thing just feels solid. The keys have a nice click feeling that comes with some of the harder to press cherry blacks that are typically associate with gaming. However, I have typed for most of the day and I find that I don't get tired as some of the negative reviews about the cherry blacks say.

The rubber feet are nice... keeps it locked into my desk.

Cons: As one reviewer noted the wrist rest is a slightly different color and possibly different plastic. The key presses are slightly loud, but not louder than an comparable mechanical keyboard - just something to keep in mind.

Other Thoughts: Its a really nice, and cheap (at $50-$60) board. I don't really need keyboard shortcuts or extra software so this thing is great.

I had a few 'cons' but they are really negligible so it gets 5 eggs!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard

Pros: I'm not going to sound like a broken record so I will only say that I agree with if not all, then most of the pros that everyone else has stated I will focus more on the cons/other thoughts

Also to add, the space bar barely sags regardless of where you press it so if you press it on the very end of the space bar then the whole bar goes down uniformly

Cons: PLEASE NOTE
This is my first mechanical keyboard I owned the Sidewinder X4 previous to purchasing this keyboard so some of the things I include here might be universal to all mechanical keyboards I really don't know

I HAVE used mechanical keyboards before though

These might not be cons to everyone they're just a minor annoyance to me as I have only owned non mechanical keyboards before

I will try NOT to reiterate what cons people have already posted

Music controls are in a weird order it
F1 = Back
F2 = Play/Pause
F3 = Stop
F4 = Forward

The volume controls are also in a weird order
F5 = Volume UP
F6 = Volume DOWN
F7 = Sound toggle

The Fn key replaces the windows key on the bottom left side of the keyboard that I'm used to and therefore the windows key is placed on the bottom right side of the keyboard

When typing in a quite environment, I can kind of hear the springs that might get annoying when typing for prolonged periods of time (more noticeable on the backspace key without doing extensive test on the keyboard)
I am NOT talking about the key clicks I am talking about a very subtle springing sound

Other Thoughts: The white looks a little funny for a keyboard but it was really an impulse buy for me cause I wanted a keyboard upgrade and couldn't back away from the $60 price tag with the $10 rebate card

5 out of 5 eggsI'm loving it

Pros: Amazing feel when typing, strong solid build without the extras that clunk up a good keyboard.

I don't need macros I just need solid and quick response keystrokes for gaming - I'd love for backlighting but it's perfectly fine without it. I'm a caveman I've lived without backlighting for 28 years.

Cons: Prefer back-lighting but there is another model for that so not really a con. The only con I can think of is why isn't this keyboard more marketed? It's amazing.

Other Thoughts: Glad I bought it when it was on sale for 60 bucks well worth it.
