5 out of 5 eggsGood Keyboard

Pros: Lowest priced keyboard I could find with Cherry Blues. Media keys are a nice addition.

Cons: Could have used USB ports on the side.

5 out of 5 eggsTt eSPORTS POSEIDON

Pros: Cherry MX Blue, build quality, back lit, responsiveness of keys, tactile feel, the price

Cons: Cherry MX Blue can be loud if you are not prepared

Other Thoughts: For the money and build quality this keyboard is amazing. I wanted a Cherry MX Blue mechanical keyboard for a while. I was previously using a Steeleseries Merc and my E key on the side pad was sticking along with a general overall mushy feel to typing. I searched up and down the internet trying to find the best deal (cheapest price) on a mechanical, back lit keyboard and this was the winner. Glad I made the choice of the Poseidon and for only 80 bucks. The illumination looks really nice and having a delete key again is great. Keys are in a traditional layout so no getting use to things missing or in different locations. The feel of the face of every key is nice, not slippery as some keyboards can be, maybe over time it will get slick but for now it feels great and I can always replace the keys if that happens. Once the key is depressed and the Cherry MX Blue switch is activated is where the magic happens, feels so incredible and satisfying. That statement may be a bit over the top and all of my friends are sick of hearing me say it, but plain and simple its GREAT! No more wondering if I hit a key during gaming and even though I am still getting pwned, at least my keys were pressed. The one thing be prepared for anyone you live with to not appreciate you using the keyboard when they are trying to sleep, work or watch tv. You know that moment when you are CC'd and pounding every key waiting for it to end so you can inflict retaliation. That is the time where the sound becomes its loudest. With the N-Key rollover support, keyboard connected to PS2, I can just roll my face on the keyboard and hope for victory. So as long as you are in another room or level or can close the door it should not be a problem. Overall this is a tremendous keyboard and I would HIGHLY recommend.

1 out of 5 eggsGood keyboard - Thermaltake pitiful customer service

Pros: Great keyboard if you like actual switches for keys. Worked for Cherry for 10 years and am aware of their legendary key division - bought expecting long term reliability.

Cons: Thermaltake most pitiful company - will never purchase another Thermaltake product. They denied my $10 rebate stating I did not send the proper barcode and now they're giving me another opportunity to resend the barcode??? Sad pitiful customer respect so Fem. I know rebates are sketchy but I've never been burnt before - actually make photo copy records and most company's seem to be halfway honest. If you're ever making a decision to go with the more expensive "Thermaltake" product anticipating a rebate - big mistake - they're a pitiful little company that has no integrity or desire for customer satisfaction.

Newegg should carry some blame as I see numerous Thermaltake complaints on the web and they still deal with this sad little company - with a sad little lying customer service team.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard

Pros: I just installed this keyboard and I'm using it for the first time. Very high quality keyboard and very sturdy/durable. Keys feel wonderful and I like the loud audible click of a quality mechanical keyboard. Can't believe it's illuminated too for just $80.

Cons: I really love this keyboard except the PS/2 instead of USB plug. That's a major fail in my opinion. Any board of this quality should by default have PS/2 for gamers and fast typers. I might just need to get used to this keyboard a bit but the blue switches don't feel responsive enough. Repeated keystrokes seem laggy and I can't tell if that's the blue switches or the USB connection. I'm usually pretty generous with good quality hardware but they lose 2 eggs for USB. What a shame because this keyboard otherwise deserves 5 full eggs.

3 out of 5 eggsBummer

Pros: Key response is nice.

Cons: The backlighting is bad. The symbols on the lower half of the key get almost no light compared to the top. The icons for the numlock and such at the top right are much brighter than the other keys. It looks really bad. -2 eggs.

Other Thoughts: It's even noisier than I thought it would be. Not taking an egg off since I bought the blue for the clicky sound, it's just more annoying than I thought it would be.

I didn't realize how much I would be annoyed by having to hold the func key in order to use the multimedia keys at the top. I use these keys every day and on my sidewinder x4 it's easy.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We apologize about the inconvenience, but you may have received a defective unit. The LED lights should all have the same level of brightness on each setting. Please contact Customer Service for RMA instructions.

5 out of 5 eggsPosiedon blue switch edition

Pros: All I have to say about this keyboard is, that you get this ASAP before they raise the price up. For 80 bucks this thing is pretty much the best deal out there for a full and illuminated keyboard.

Cons: For 80 dollars, blue switches, and fully illuminated? There is nothing negative about this board.

Other Thoughts: I've tried out the CM storm quickfire rapid blue switch edition for 2 years and I have to say that the Posiedon keys feel a lot more stable and even throughout the board compared to the CM, don't get me wrong the CM storm is a very good board but for some reason typing on the Posiedon just feels a lot better. Like I said, pick this board up before they realize they can make way more money for this quality board. I will post an update after several months of use.

5 out of 5 eggsPoseidon Illuminated Keyboard Blue - a hit

Pros: Keyboard is very responsive. While not taking much pressure to activate the keys, they still have a crisp feel. Key placements is good for my hands (woman, medium-sized). Blue backlight is fun. Backlight intensity is adjustable., very good price point.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've had this keyboard about a week, and I type a LOT. I love it. Replaced a wireless keyboard that had an annoying lag and skip problem. This keyboard is springy, but responds to a light touch. Great feel. Typing feels effortless and confident.

5 out of 5 eggsBest no frills mechanical I have used under $150

Pros: This board is super good I am astonished. I have used the CMstorm trigger, pro, Xt,(with browns and blues) the razor BW ultimate(blues), Logi 710+(browns), zibal60(Blacks, K70(reds) and Meka G1(blacks). This board by far feels better and is the sturdiest board I have ever used. At the time of purchase I could only get my hands on the Cherry Blue edition which I prefer for typing but was personally buying this board for a no frills gaming solution so I wanted it in (browns). Anyhow I purchased anyway for 79.99 on a weekend deal and have replaced my CM storm pro with it for good now and for every application.

Make no mistakes about this board though it has absolutely no frills except the excellent back-lighting but the key feel and durability is awesome, the board has a steel plate that is as thick as the G1 (which is thicker than any CM back-plate btw) and the rubber feet even on the supper heavy duty pullouts is more than enough grip for any surface. I cannot wait until they come out with the none lit version so I can grab one for work with a set of blues as well.

Basically I had to write this review because if you are looking for a simple but super sturdy board for gaming and typing and your not buying a deck board, this is it. TT esports just proved that you can make a better than standard mechanical for half the price of some of its competitors. Awesome Awesome board.

Cons: I wish it carried over the cord from the Meka 1 but, its not really a con because the USB cord is just fine and as good as any CM or corsair out there.

Other Thoughts: I just cannot get over the fact that I love this board, I have only used two boards in my life that I like as much as this board a Deck and the other was a Filco.

Also TT esports will apparently be dropping a non-lit solution for 59.99 I guess with Blues, Browns and blacks soon.
