4 out of 5 eggsperfect with windows 8

Pros: works perfectly in windows 8 using a ps2-to-usb adapter, every key does what it is supposed to do, no driver install necessary, the multimedia keys have a groove down the middle which allows finding the right key in the dark or without looking, the large enter key and standard layout is a major plus, the next/previous track keys work itunes while in other apps

Cons: only con so far is that it didn't come as a usb default connection, didn't work at all in windows 8 when hooked up to the ps2 port on my computer

Other Thoughts: cable could have been longer but I have it hooked up to the hub built into my monitor, the ps2-to-usb adapter I'm using is from radio shack, it should work with any standard adapter, I'm guessing it should work with other versions of windows if you use an adapter to hook it up to usb, it was instantly recognized along with all the extra keys

3 out of 5 eggsGood for the price

Pros: The keyboard has weathered well over the years, it's functionality is still strong, and the price is good. I am always a big fan of non-white/black colored keyboards, and keyboards that have media/internet/email control buttons.

Cons: The keys feel cheap, but you can't really complain with this price.

3 out of 5 eggsA lot of bang for your.... tired fingers.

Pros: This keyboard and mouse set does not require batteries!

Cons: The mouse scroll does not work well it jumps up and down and back to the same place when scrolling. The keyboard keys have too much up and down travel. Feels cumbersome when typing.

Other Thoughts: Cheap, works just fine. Spend 20 more bucks and do yourself a favor.

4 out of 5 eggsgood keyboard ok mouse

Pros: I got this combo a few years ago and never had problems with it. You don't need the drivers they give you because windows will just find them on its own. I haven't had any problems with this combo cept for the mouse.

Cons: my only problem was when using the scroll wheel of the mouse to scroll down or up it would skip back for some reason or another so I didn't use the scroll wheel.

Other Thoughts: after a few years of having this the color fades ware your left click button is but its ok since it doesn't affect how well the mouse its self works. not worth taking off an egg. (had this for more then 5 years)

2 out of 5 eggsNot what I was looking for

Pros: - Colorful
- Roomy size
- Soft key touch
- nice casual use mouse

**never have really used the keyboard as i cant get it to work on my machine..

Cons: - Software drivers don't work with my motherboard
- Short cords
- The blue isn't as deep as the picture shows
- kinda flimsy ... feel like if i drop it the keys would fall out

Other Thoughts: as far as the drivers go .. i lost the install disk and looked for drivers online .. downloaded them from the Apevia site. I found em and installed. still got no response from the keyboard. I didn't realize also this was a PS2 connect so i used adapters for my USB motherboard.. so this may be a issue with the drivers .. but in all honesty you can shop around for something a bit more sturdy. otherwise a decent combo set if want some flash for a guest computer..

1 out of 5 eggsDefective mouse

Pros: I have a red version I used for another build. This isn't a half bad solution when it all works. The keyboard is fairly decent.

Cons: Like my red set, the cons lie with the mouse. Only on this set the mouse was defective. When lowering the mouse the cursor does not follow smoothly. I setup an RMA but when I found it cost $12 to ship this set back I decided just to get a new mouse for less instead.

Other Thoughts: Comments for the red keyboard/mouse titled "Good keyboard, not so good mouse" apply here as well and should give a better idea of what to expect from a functional set.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Bought a set for my son and myself. Both mice died, his keyboard has a broken shift key, mine has trouble with double characters. My mouse had a sticky left button since day one. Pretty much a waste of money.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: Fast shipping (that was to be expected) Nice keyboard for the price you pay

Cons: Mouse is uncomfortable and doesn't fit my hand at all. Keyboard doesn't have any cons other than its a big small from what i am used to.

Other Thoughts: Good buy for the cheap price
