5 out of 5 eggskis combo

Pros: It all works as advertised. I really like the keyboard, the mouse worke, and the speakers speak..

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: For the money, this can't be beat. Yes the speakers are a little thin sounding, yes the mouse cord is kinda thin, but ,,hey it all works as advertised...if you want a thick mouse cord, and you want theatre sound..dig a bit deeper into your wallet.. Quit complaining!!

2 out of 5 eggsReview of the APEVIA CORP. KIS-COMBO-BK

Pros: Works

Cons: - Speakers sound awful.
- The lettering on the keyboard rubs off from normal office use.
- The mouse is extremely cheap feeling in your hand.

Other Thoughts: I only gave it 2 eggs because it worked. Had any one part not worked that would have been no eggs.

1 out of 5 eggsCheap

Pros: decent keyboard

Cons: The price definitely reflects the product you get, just built a new comp for my wife and needed a kit for it. I stumbled upon this set.. it looks good and all.. the only solid piece of equipment this offers is the keyboard.. its nice and sturdy.. but the mouse is awkward and the speakers are atrocious there is no better word for them.. i have them connected through a power strip and everytime you turn something on or off such as a fan i also have connected you can hear it turning on and off through the speakers.. I'm suprised that apevia would even let these speakers out on the market..

Other Thoughts: save yourself time and money dont try to go the cheap with these..

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal!

Pros: Keyboard looks better than average. Feels Sturdy. Mouse looks smooth and tracks extremely well. Speakers are NOT AS BAD as people make them out to be. They're powered, so they really do get loud enough, almost too loud. If somebody is having an issue where they think they're too quiet, then something is wrong with the vid you're trying to watch. They're perfect for the average user. Seriously, any competitively priced speaker would sound terrible compared to these. If you need plain desktop speakers, don't let the bad reviews run you off.

Cons: Just like other users have said, the mouse cable is extremely thin. If you have a pet that chews wires, it's a given you don't want this around them. The advantage is because the cord is so light and thin, you don't get that tugging feeling when you move the mouse down on other corded mice. There's no real weight to it!

Other Thoughts: I have to admit, I was taken aback by the light actually inside the mouse where you rest your palm. I figured the blue led mentioned in the other reviews would be from the glowing scroll wheel. Nope! While the scroll wheel does glow, the mouse itself has another brilliant blue led that shines through the black casing and causes the clear plastic sections to glow. Not a con, unless you hate lights. I just wish you could turn it off or something, as it glows constantly. It looks pretty sweet though. I built this system for customer coming from a mac, and he liked the mac-ish appearance of the mouse, and really enjoyed the glow as well, so it all works out.

TL;DR - Buy it. It's a good deal.

4 out of 5 eggsNot too bad

Pros: Keyboard, price

Cons: Volume, mouse cord

Other Thoughts: I realize I am just repeating what others said about the good and bad.. Still it's not a bad deal, and it supplies the basics of keyboard/mouse/speaker at a reasonable price. The mouse is really just fine, that is an awfully thin cord though and if you were to get klutzy and somehow yanked it too hard, I would imagine it would be history. I have stashed away my original mouse as a backup just in case.. The speakers are basic and underpowered.. I know that I will run into instances where the video volume is recorded too low, and just not have the oomph to compensate for it.. but as I didn't have speakers anyway, I figured why not.. and they will do for now.. As has also been said by others the keyboard (which is what I wanted in the first place) is the best part of the combo, and I agree, it is really good.

3 out of 5 eggsOkay

Pros: I bought it specifically because the mouse has a blue LED to it that would compliment my new RAIDMAX Tornado ATX-238WU case. Speakers are alright but planning on replacing them for a good audio system soon. All Quick buttons on the keyboard are very nice and something i've never had before.

Cons: Mouse wire is very thin and cheesy. I have pet parrots who hang out at the desk with me and im sure one bite on this wire and its history. The buttons on the mouse seem a bit short.

Other Thoughts: Low price for a budget build.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: I got this for a setup I'm building for someone's kid. It's a nice deal if you're just looking for something simple. Everyone who's seen the mouse loves how it looks. Personally, I could go without the bright LED but it's an eye-catcher and will be appealing to the kid. The keyboard looks great and works fine. I haven't had a chance to try out the speakers but I don't really care how good of quality they are since sound quality isn't too important in this setup. Great overall.

Cons: None.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Buy for the $

Pros: Nice keyboard, mouse, and speakers for the money spent.

Cons: The cord on the mouse is a very small gauge of wire and if pulled or stretched it would probably break. I also could do without the blue led in the mouse.

Other Thoughts: Upgrade the wiring on the mouse to a bigger gauge of wire.
