2 out of 5 eggsReally?

Pros: I love the stiffer keys. When I'm typing fast as a programmer i know when I've pressed a key.

Cons: Only saw ONE review with this information. NO multi-key support. Hold down any 1 key and press another, and the first key stops responding. In programming pressing ALT+K+C will comment out a section of code. Not with this keyboard! I'm sure there would be gaming issues as well.

The keyboard doesn't sit even. Not a big deal really. It's flat and solid on the bottom and for the price i didn't mind jury rigging a piece of paper to make it level.

Other Thoughts: This account isn't a registered owner of the keyboard because my company purchased it. I'm having them return it and getting something else.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard

Pros: Ergo keyboard is comfortable to use, has built in touchpad

Cons: I wish Adesso would place the touchpad under the number pad instead of in center of keyboard

Other Thoughts: I've used this keyboard for about 2 years at work without issue. I had never heard of Adesso before, but it was the only keyboard at the time that had a touchpad so my options were limitied. It was a great purchase, I've had no problems with it yet. Getting ready to order another now for my home PC.
I would have given it 5 stars if the touchpad were under the number pad instead of in the center. I have gotten used to it being in the center, but still wish it were on the side instead.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Maybe the only ergo keyboard with a built-in touchpad.
USB plays well with Linkskey KVM. It works. Its comfortable. It sits on my lap and I don't need a mouse. One piece is good. Don't like detachable wrist rests.

Cons: Touchpad is in center. Would prefer it underneath the numeric keypad but better one than none.
Hard to configure the Glidepoint though so far the new keyboard is pretty good.

Other Thoughts: This is my second. The first one died, I thought because of cat vomit, but I had worn out the Left Ctl and the 5 and 6 keys no longer worked. Tried to disassemble, clean, reassemble. Made no diff. No worse.

Pros: Looks like a good comfortable design.

Cons: Dead upon arrival.

Other Thoughts: Guess the other reviews citing quality issues with Adesso products are right.

1 out of 5 eggsodd usb codes

Pros: layout, trackpad

Cons: don't buy it. usb model sends odd keyboard codes that play havoc with windows and linux. the ps2 model worked well for me, but the usb model is garbage. i wish a reputable manufacturer would sell a better model with the same layout.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad - compat problem with mouse?

Pros: Keys have decent, if stiff, feedback. Touchpad works reasonably well in most cases.

Cons: Adesso software to add scroll L/R, Zoom, and Back/Fwd buttons to touchpad must be configured carefully, or you'll find yourself accidentally zooming and backing from web paages all the time. That can be a real nuisance if you are filling out a web form, and all of a sudden you lose your entries because you accidentally hit the "back" button zone on the touchpad. But the features can be independently turned off, so it's not too bad if you take the time to do that to taste.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to plug into a KVM switch (LKV-248AUSK), which in turn connects to 4 laptops (saves a lot of desk space). After receiving, I realized that I'd ordered the wrong one; I meant to get the 308B PS/2 model, not 308UB... ugh! With USB I couldn't keyboard-control the KVM switch. Also, the touchpad had issues with two older computers, with the mouse sometimes sticking to the upper-right corner of the screen when switching computers. Not sure if that was the switch, the touchpad, the older computers, or some combination thereof so I RMA'ed and am gonna try the PS/2 version to get kbd-controlled switching and see if that fixes the sticky-mouse problem. Un/replugging the USB connection appeared to resolve that problem, FWIW.

2 out of 5 eggsGamers beware

Pros: This review is no reflection on Newegg. They did a great job for me through THREE of these keyboards.
The basic keyboard arrangement seemed fine, basic touchpad functions seemed fine, but I didn't keep the keyboard long enough to develop an opinion.

Cons: Keyboard: Herein lies the problem. Press a key and hold it. When a second key is pressed, the keyboard will immediately stop reacting to the first key, obeying only the second. For example, say you are playing a game, and that pressing the "Up" and "Left" arrows simultaneously on any other keyboard would allow your character to run in a curving path. On this keyboard, you stop moving forward and start turning in place. This happens for any two keys on the board. Adesso claimed the first keyboard was defective. No problem, we got a replacement from Newegg. Second keyboard, same problem. Adesso tech support suggests this one is also defective. Stretching the limits of my credulity, but I gave them a chance and spoke with Newegg. Newegg got us a new keyboard out by 2nd day air. Same problem. This is obviously a desgin flaw.

Other Thoughts: Even casual gamers should steer clear of this keyboard, as should anyone who uses programs that require simultaneous multi-keystroke recognition.

3 out of 5 eggsa little clunky but gets the job done

Pros: Split ergonomic design. Integrated touchpad makes it easier to skip out on a mouse.

Cons: Keys are stiffer than most keyboards. The touchpad is small. I'm spoiled by the MacBook Pro and its multi-touch capabilities, so using a touchpad with "zones" seems complicated and weird; you get used to it though. The mouse buttons are sticky and don't always register.

Other Thoughts: The OS I use (Fedora Linux 8) doesn't give many options for setting up the touchpad, and in fact seems to see it as a regular mouse. This means I can't turn off the "touch to click" feature that drives me insane. I looked around on NewEgg for a while for an ergonomic keyboard with an integrated pointer. Maybe I should have waited longer.

2 out of 5 eggsKeys are really sticky

Pros: Ergonomic design. Touch pad words great.

Cons: The keyboard wasn't level when I set it on a flat surface so it would rock back and forth as I typed. I put a little piece of foam under one side and fixed that. Trying to use the any of the lock keys (caps lock, num lock, scroll lock) would lock up the input from the keyboard for a few seconds AND it didn't recognize the lock. So it wouldn't type caps after I hit caps lock etc. The worst part was the keys. They are very stiff and slow to move. This actually aggravated my wrist problems more then using the mouse but even without wrist problems it makes typing really slow and cumbersome with lots of mistakes.

Other Thoughts: Great design, terrible implementation.
