Pros: Looks nice

Cons: I was building a new computer for my cousin and he wanted a cheap keyboard until he could buy something decent. I plugged the keyboard in and there were random letter keys that would not work, the 7-9 keys on the keypad didn't work, the 5-9 keys did not work, the delete key didn't work and the num lock didn't work. I had an old keyboard that I lent him until he can afford a decent one.

Other Thoughts: Newegg was great for letting me return this. I have always had good success with getting items returned or replaced without to much of a hassle.

Cons: Died after a few months, just one day stopped working completely, lights on it are extremely bright. You get what you pay for

2 out of 5 eggsCheap

Pros: Cheap replacement.

Cons: Labels wore off the keys after a month.

Other Thoughts: I bought this keyboard to use in an office environment and I am disappointed in the quality. I know you can't expect a whole lot from $11 but it should last longer than a few months. First the labels wore completely off the keys so whoever was typing had no clue what keys they were pressing. The legs that adjust the tilt of the keyboard also broke. Spend a little more, get something more durable.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This keyboard is amazing and its only $7! You can't beat that. It looks great, with cool lights for the num lock, caps lock, etc. I ask people how much they think I payed for this and they all say at least $50. It has multimedia buttons at the top to easily skip to the next song or adjust the volume without having to alt-tab out of a game or open windows media player. You don't need a disk to install this keyboard, just plug in and go.

Cons: For some reason, there is no play or pause button. Also, it has a small backspace button which doesn't bother me personally, but some people like the big buttons.

Other Thoughts: It's $7 and the best keyboard I've ever owned.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap, looks cool, nice keys across the top, works fine in Vista 32x and 64x.

Cons: Cheap keys, one sags some, but still works fine, for the price it is acceptable.

1 out of 5 eggsSpend a few more dollars

Pros: Cheap? It works?

Cons: Fragile, keys wear out very quickly, not enough force to push them down. Broke after a light 1 ft fall.

Other Thoughts: Spend just 2-3 dollars more for one from a better brand

5 out of 5 eggsIt's different to advertised

Pros: I've just noticed that the keyboard I received is quite different to the one pictured. I was sent a KBJ-790C rather than a KB-790C.

The main differences between the one pictured and what I received are that firstly the function keys and power functions keys are full size, the same as the rest of the QWERTY keyboard, not half height as pictured. Secondly, there are more or the silver useful buttons above the function keys than the pictures on this site - 8 instead of 6 to the left of the larger button, and 9 instead of the pictured 6 to the right of the larger button. The extra buttons contain features such as opening up the calculator program on Windows, bringing up the My Computer window, and other surprisingly useful additions.

Cons: Can't complain for this price, although it would be nice for the keys above the cursor keys to be in their traditional spots, (the Insert, Delete, etc. have all been moved down one level to accommodate the Print Screen / Scroll Lock etc. keys in the same section because where they usually are has been allocated to power/sleep control keys.

Also, the backspace key is the size of a normal key, i.e. too small if you are used to a tradional keyboard with a double sized key.

The LEDs on the keyboard are far too bright, although from a normal typing angle they are OK... look at them from directly above though and you'll be seeing blobs for several minutes afterwards.

Other Thoughts: Great value for money and nice looking, (albeit fairly cheap looking, but for this money that's to be expected).

3 out of 5 eggsOK... worth the $7

Pros: I'd just built a twon tone black and silver system and wanted a matching keyboard so bought this one. It's OK, nothing special and does it's job.

The buttons above the standard keys are surprisingly handy - there's controls for volume, mute, browser forwards/backwards, refresh, launch default mail program, browser home, etc. etc. I've always thought these were just a gimic, but actually found them really useful.

Cons: The keys offer a strange tactile feedback, it almost feels when typiing as if the key can't be pressed as deep as other keyboards, I'm not to keen on this compared to other more expensive keyboard.

The backspace key is too small. Also the Print Screen, Scroll Lock and Break keys have been moved from level with the Function keys down to the block above the cursor keys to accomdate power/sleep/wake keys. I don't like this as it means the delete key is lower than it should be on a traditional layout, and I'm forever having to stop and look when I make an error as the Insert key is where the delete key should be.

Cheap and nasty plastic... just doesn't feel very classy, although for $7, I'm not surprised.

Other Thoughts: It'll do for now.

3 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for...

Pros: I like the quiet keys, and the overall appearance of the keyboard.

Cons: I bought this for work so it was being used 40 hours a week... The lettering started wearing off after a couple weeks. Also the multimedia buttons, two of them are backwards the ones to switch between tracks. I don't think the manufacturer checked this one before it went out.

Other Thoughts: I am not sure I would really recommend this keyboard. Depends how much use you want to get out of it.
