Cool keyboard so far
- Pros: This is my 1st few hours with the keyboard, but i thought id let people know a few things about it.
Pros: -Assign seperate backlight colors to 6 different areas of the keyboard. -12 macro buttons (6 on each side) -media player controls -game mode and normal mode (so you dont have to look at multi colored keyboard all the time) -when in game mode backlights get twice as bright (this keyboard in game mode is way brighter then previous saitek keyboards) -keys feel decent... not the most surgical precision.. but they are maybe 8/10 quality on a 1-10 scale. -Its bright! -In the dark this keyboard looks extremely cool... in day light kinda ugly.. but in dark its amazing :)
Overall good keyboard and speakin from previous saitek keyboard ownership I expect to get 3 good years out of this before the button paint rubs off like last saitek keyboard did... atleast the button paint looks more durable on this model then previous ones.
- Cons: -Keyboard sits up a little higher then I am used to maybe about a 1 inch rise.. im getting used to it.
-the top bar touchpad is not zero pressure (like playstation 3 power/eject buttons are) you really need to press these kinda hard. -the keyboards side macro buttons are taking some getting used to .. i used to touch left edge of keyboard to know where to position my hand to type without looking, with these macro buttons its harder to do now.. but im getting more used to it as the hours go on. -This keyboard to my eyes is kinda ugly in daylight... but I know this is strictly a night time kinda keyboard... it looks best in total darkness and its amazing in dark
- Other Thoughts: You get several backlight colors to select from:
yellow, orange, light green, dark green, red
You can assign backlights to different areas of the keyboard at same time... the following areas are tweakable: the side macro buttons. the W,A,S,D buttons the up down left right buttons the numpad and the rest of the keyboard after that.
These are changed by pressing those red polygon shapes on the top bar, then selecting color change icon and flipping through the colors.
The keyboard switching between 2 modes when you press the cyborg head in the middle. When in cyborg mode keyboard gets twice as bright... its VERY VERY bright :D
Great Gaming Keyboard
- Pros: Very comfortable, medium keystroke pressure, touch-sensitive controls, multi-zone - multi-color backlighting, 12 macro buttons, A/V control, USB port, headphone/mic port, decent (not perfect) anti-ghosting, REALLY thick cable.
- Cons: Kinda big, kinda heavy, only 5 color choices (Red, Orange, yellow'ish, yellow-green'ish, green), thick cable from keyboard turns into a very wide plastic splitter after about 4 feet, meaning you can't put it through smaller holes in desks (especially in my case with a metal and glass desk), some commands (volume especially) don't work without installed software. Not sure how long the "chrome" (just painted) finish will last on the WASD, aarows, and spacebar will last.
- Other Thoughts: This is my first "gaming" keyboard. Previously I used a Logitech Multimedia keyboard (the old off-white/blue one I think we've all owned at one point) which was great, but it was just too messed up after 7 years of usage. It was between the Microsoft Sidewinder keyboard, Logitech G15, Saitek Eclipse III, something way too expensive from SteelSeries, and this one. After some careful consideration (and a great NewEgg sale) I pulled the trigger. I've put about 15 hours on this thing, including a TWL match, and have no regrets, and very few complaints. This is a great keyboard and of all the "gaming" keyboards out there, probably the only one I would feel ok buying for a friend.
For those of you that are interested... TE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPED OVER TE LAZY DO Only GH are affected with double shift, WASD are independent, and will still fire no matter how many other keys are being pressed, kinda cool.

Ehh.
- Pros: It lights up really well.
The keys not mushy. The USB/Audio output is SO useful.
- Cons: It's a bit pricy.
I've also had several issues such as: The touch panel not working. An issue caused by the drivers that made the keyboard stop working (I fixed it though). The paint from the WASD keys wearing off. Not being able to correctly program the "Cyborg Keys"
- Other Thoughts: Tech support helped me with some issues, not speedily, but the best the could.
If this were about $50-60 dollars, this would be the best keyboard EVER, but at $80 I think another option would be best.
-_- Not The Greatest
- Pros: I guess the price is okay, and will type when u want it to...
Oh... and you can make it light up in different colors when in cyborg mode.
- Cons: A big con is the most important gaming keys are divided to both sides of the keyboard. Unless you don't use your mouse for your games than forget about this con. The plastic is kind of cheap too. Had this board for a few years and the feet are already breaking off.
- Other Thoughts: Don't buy this product unless it's the only thing left and it's a dire emergency.
Hate it
- Pros: Programable colors are great, and a great board when it works.
- Cons: Have had nothing but problems with it since i got it. Returned it to Saitek becasue a whole row of keys stopped working they repaired and returned it to me only to have the same problem happen to it again a couple days later. Returned again and recieved a new bord this time but this one is plauged with other problems. I'm done with it, going to get a logitec
