4 out of 5 eggsNice.

Pros: Shipped fast, everything was in the box! All colors work, plug n play style set up. no problems with driver installs from the keyboard itself! Colors are nice, all 5 color options work! Multimedia short cuts on both sides of the keyboard, convenient.

Cons: If you have cheap speakers they will BUZZ when the keyboard backlit color is on, you might not hear it, but if your listening to music, during the breaks you will really here the BUZZ. Some of the multimedia short cut buttons don't load anything, but i have yet to need them so I haven't looked into it, could be nothing wrong, just not assigned.

Other Thoughts: Other than the buzz, (probably my cheap speakers) Its an all around good keyboard for at night players/workers that don't want to keep people up with house lighting.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent board while it lasted.

Pros: Backlit, good response, handy dedicated buttons for various programs/features, it's usb versus ps/2. There are some inputs on the board you could make use of for a headset, though they're in an awkward spot and can make cable management a pain if you're a righty as they're on the far right on the back side and at an asinine angle.

Cons: Barely lasted a year, I'm not particularly hard on my electronics, yes I game pretty regularly, but it is a gaming board. My last keyboard (which I'm using atm) lasted me 6 years of gaming and is still going strong with no apparent issues. My key failures were mainly on the left side of the board in range of the wasd cluster, 1,`,z,q and a few other keys were quickly on their way out.

Other Thoughts: I RMA'd the board back to Saitek in California and apparently the board is irreparable, I'm still waiting to find out what my board will be replaced with..... It's been a little over a week of waiting, not counting ship time and such. I'll try and remember to update with what happens in regard to replacement, though so far their support has been pretty punctual about information.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard

Pros: I have owned this keyboard for over 2 years now. I beat my keyboards up bad, I'm not very kind on them at all and this one has lasted 2 years for me. I spill things on it often, I drop it, toss it around etc... and the only issue I had is my down arrow went out, I am sure I broke it at one point or another. A keyboard that can survive 2 years with me would last a decade for most others so I highly recommend it.

Cons: None at all

4 out of 5 eggsBest KB I've had so far.

Pros: Backlit (with multiple colors and dimmer settings) which was perfect for dark gaming sessions. Minimal ghosting if any (never had a problem). Ultra-durable, dropped it, spilled liquid on it, food, rage-mashing sessions, you name it. This KB survived it all!

Cons: The touchscreen for the volume was a bit confusing to get used to since it looks like you can adjust volume by sliding your finger across it to lower the volume and vice versa but actually you just use the sides and continually hold it down till you find the right spot you want it at. (Not sure if it was just me who didn't know that but oh well)

Biggest issue with this KB is that after 3 years of continuous gaming, typing, coding etc, most of the keys did rub off. The first 4 keys to go were WASD as expected but soon after I lost more than half of my keyboard (including function keys) leaving the ones I barely ever use slightly in tact.

Last but not least, the cord was too short for me. Not the USB but the cord for sound and the mic often made me have to re-adjust the position of my rig if I wanted to plug those in.

Other Thoughts: Other than the 3 issues in the cons, I loved this keyboard and would take it over many other backlit KBs. I just wished the keys didn't rub off so easily.

2 out of 5 eggsShort Lived

Pros: The touchscreen and back light work well and the shortcut keys are nice.

Cons: after about 4 months of use, the keyboard starting ghosting horribly. Couldn't press more than 2 keys at once. For gaming this was a letdown. This seems to be an issue with all Saitek keyboards I have purchased in the past. I tried different drivers, PnP drivers, official drivers, nothing seemed to fix the issue. Will not purchase another Saitek product.... to expensive for these things to break so quickly.

4 out of 5 eggsGood keyboard, but...

Pros: Works great at first, has alot of features, colors, ect.

Cons: The touch sensitive buttons sometimes dont want to work, and sometimes get stuck and my volume will raise or drop all the way if I just tap the button 1 time.

Other Thoughts: After I smack my keyboard it seems to work though, but I shouldnt have to smack a keyboard..

3 out of 5 eggsNice with a few issues.

Pros: Illuminated Keyboard
Murltimedia Keys (Volume, Music, Video)
Shortcut Keys (Favs, Calculator, Music, Search, Internet)

Cons: Mlfunctioned after 4 months
Keyboard takes uo a lot of space (too large for small desk or workstations)

Other Thoughts: I thought this keyboard would be a good investment since I spend a lot of time on the computer (Win 7 OS). It had all the shortcuts and media button that I needed an wanted and the illumination was a plus! However, after 4 months of use, the keys stmalfunctioned. The spacebar was the first to go. You can't use a keyboard without a spacebar. Then the remaining key followed. I contacted the manufactured directly (because a week had passed and my request for Tech Support had gone unanswered) and they replaced the keyboard. I've had the replacemet keyboard for a couple of months and a few days ago everything except the illumination just stopped working. I tried a series of fixes (reboot, driver download, etc.) and nothing. I was about to contact the manufacturer again when I decided to try it on an old computer (XP OS). It works on that computer. I don't know why it malfunctions on my Win 7. Anyway, I have an expensive keyboard on a computer that I don't use.

2 out of 5 eggsNice but

Pros: Nice feel
Preprogrammed macros
Multicolored back lighting

Cons: Have now owned this key board for almost 2 years and about 4 months ago the 7 key stopped working. This I could have lived with grudgingly but I could have lived with it but last week the M key went out and that was the last straw. Tried taking it apart to clean it but no luck.

Other Thoughts: After spending the money on a key board this expensive I am not impressed and will not replace it with another Eclipse III
