5 out of 5 eggsBest keyboard I've ever owned

Pros: Great typing feel and stunning design. I would get this keyboard again if it became available again.

Cons: The paint on the keycaps wears off over time, but no faster than any other keyboard I've ever owned.
Also, the proper drivers aren't 100% Windows 8-8.1 compatible. You need to use the generic keyboard driver to get it working.

1 out of 5 eggsSaitek dropped the ball on this one

Pros: They expired

Cons: This is the second key that broke already. I "was" going to use this for gaming.... But I decided to just run it on my internet computer for a test drive. Some times the key won't register the hit. And now the keys are breaking. basically, it's a piece of junk with a fancy lighted window, designed to "sell" the board.

Other Thoughts: They would've been better off making the whole boad a touch pad. At least it would still be usable.

3 out of 5 eggsMadCatz quality

Pros: *Cheap (when I got it-25.00)
*Backlit
*Looks good

Cons: *Touchpad slow to respond
*My "V" and "SPACE" keys are beginning to fail
*If you put your computer to sleep, the light up touchpad wont light back up.

Other Thoughts: Dont get it. It wont last you more than a year due to the bad quality.

4 out of 5 eggsWas Great, but issues now..

Pros: Great Back lighting, adjustable, easy to use touch screen keyboard with optional shortcuts and stuff, pretty useful.

Cons: After 5 months, my Left CTRL key has stopped functioning. I have taken the keys off and cleaned, all keys work except that one. "Coating" is coming off the shift key , so now there is just an up-arrow not "s-h-i-f-t" letters.

Other Thoughts: I probly wouldn't buy this keyboard again, however I would however buy other Saitek products. Either way, keyboard is still working great, if I could fix the CTRL key i would be happy again lol.

1 out of 5 eggsBad customer service

Pros: None

Cons: This product came to me broken. I went through their support to replace it. They said they would mail out replacement. A week later no replacement. Ask again, they said they were out but they have some in stock now and will mail one out. A week later nothing. Contacted them again and they are now ignoring me. Its been almost 2 months.

Other Thoughts: Hope it works when it arrives, because if it doesn't they will leave you with a broken product.

1 out of 5 eggsWhat a shame

Pros: Looks great. Very sharp and the LED lights are awesome

Cons: As in some reviews below. Sometimes the numpad wont appear when the computer boots up. You have to restart. The problem I have is when Im in a video game and I press any of the num-keys, they dont work. Therefore I dont even use this keyboard.

1 out of 5 eggsDid not work

Pros: Worked for about 10 minutes. Looked cool while it worked.

Cons: Tried on 3 different PCs...fail.

Hoping MadCatz/Saitek will replace it because it's only a couple months old.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent but not great. High cool factor.

Pros: Illuminated keys, very solid construction, tastefully designed, excellent key feel, IMO the best key layout of any compact keyboard, touchscreen is very cool looking.

Cons: Touchscreen not very useful, some keys apparently lose sensitivity after heavy use (have to tap them a bit harder), but worst of all, the black paint wears off the most-used keys.

Other Thoughts: I very much liked the overall design, build quality and layout of this keyboard. The illuminated keys look stellar. I knew going in that the touchscreen keypad was probably not going to be the most useful keypad, but that did not bother me as I don't use the keypad that often. It definitely adds to the cool factor of the keyboard.

I prefer slim keyboards to full-sized ones, and the layout of the keys on this compact board is perfect. I've tried many, and this really is perfection for compact key layout IMO.

However the one thing that really disappoints me is the painted keys. The plastic itself is clear, and they are painted black. The paint has worn completely off the center of the N key, and is showing ragged edges on many of the rest of the letters. When the paint wears off, it of course exposes more of the clear plastic underneath, which of course the light is able to shine through. So what used to be my N key is now a very bright blob on my keyboard. :(

5 out of 5 eggsnot to bad just some minor issues

Pros: ok i love the progrmable touchscreen quick keys and how it can switch screens. i love the key layout there very small riged and easy to press. love how you can adjust the back lighting on the keybored and the volume control on the touchscreen it saves from clicking around to turn your volume down when its sudinly to loud. pretty much everything you need in a smaller sized package.

Cons: so far the only cons i have is i cant update it or the touchscreen stops working and also sometimes when i boot it up the touchscreen will stay black but i can just easly unplug it and plug it back in to get the screen to come back.

Other Thoughts: i didnt take an egg off this for the cons cuzz its not a fault with newegg but a fault in the manufacturer.
