4 out of 5 eggsPaint rubs off of keys

Pros: Looks cool. Works well. Pleasing touch and bounce to the keys. Adjustable lighting is nice.

Cons: Paint rubs off the keys after a year or so. There's about 8 keys where the paint is noticeably rubbing away. No USB ports. 1 year warranty.

Other Thoughts: Overall I like it but the fact the paint rubs off is a little annoying, so minus one egg.

3 out of 5 eggsIt looks cool but...

Pros: the KB looks cool when installed
works like it should

Cons: the spacebar after use didn't feel quite right. I personally preferred the feel of a regular DELL keyboard.

4 out of 5 eggsgood keyboard with one minor prob...

Pros: Bought this keyboard back in 07. Still works and lights up.

Cons: The gray paint came off some of the keys a few years after I bought it.

Other Thoughts: Still a decent key board.

1 out of 5 eggsDissappointing piece of hardware

Pros: Nice back lighting with three settings (low, high, & off).

Cons: Of all the components in a computer system, the keyboard is probably the last one you'd expect to ever stop functioning. I've had many different keyboards over the years (IBM, Logitech, Microsoft, etc.) and this one has to be the worst. The paint wore off of the keys making them unreadable and allowing the back light to shine through the key faces. The space bar seems to pivot on a center switch giving it a floppy pinball paddle feel. I had continual problems with sticking keys or keys not registering input. And somehow one of the corner screws (on the top) worked itself loose and fell out.

Other Thoughts: I will not buy another Saitek product ever again.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: All around great keyboard. The lighting is top notch, does its job perfectly without being too bright. Keys are responsive and feel just about right.

I have yet to have a problem with this keyboard in over 2 years. Great buy.

Cons: Early on the feet would occasionally get a bit sticky on my desk, but that has long since passed. Such a minute problem that it is barely worth mentioning.

Other Thoughts: Great value, great keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggs4+ years and counting!

Pros: i have been using this keyboard for over 4 years now and is still working great! i dont have any problems with any keys. its an old keyboard but has no signs if it giving up on me so i dont plan to replace it anytime soon.

Cons: the grey paint in the keys wear off after some time of use.

Other Thoughts: yes the paint fades away on the keys but i never had the need to look at what key is what so the paint wearing off and not being able to read the keys letter is not an issue with me. all lights are still working and doesnt get hot or anything after 12+ hours of being on. unsure if lights make other keyboards hot but i thought id post that info also.

5 out of 5 eggsVery useful

Pros: Nice, easy to read, nice action.

Cons: none really...the plastic has begun to erode on heavily used keys after a year of abuse by a family of 5, but the board is still very readable.

Other Thoughts: too bad it's discontinued!

4 out of 5 eggsPretty darn good

Pros: Works great. Looks cool. Blue LEDs make typing in the dark a no-brainer.

Cons: Viewing the keyboard at a low-enough angle, the characters on the keys can still be hard to make out. This is especially true of the smaller fonts, like on the Function keys, which all look generally like blue blurs. But this is something I can definitely live with for such a solid keyboard.

Other Thoughts: Should I ever go to a lan party again, I'll expect some oohs and aahs.

3 out of 5 eggsOK, but not impressive

Pros: Decent keyboard, allows dimming of illumination.

Cons: Poor execution of back-lighting of a keyboard. Some of the LEDs were off-center and only illuminated portions of the keys (mainly the space, backspace, shift, and enter keys).

Other Thoughts: Haven't tried the keyboard in full darkness, but then the light coming from the monitor would illuminate it to the point where the spotty backlighting would not be much benefit.
