5 out of 5 eggsCould not be happier.

Pros: This has been one of the best Return-On-Investments I have ever made. I love the feel of the keyboard, but that seems to be something that each of us "feels" differently about. However, this Keyboard has thus far survived 3 desktop-soaking cups of black coffee and two glasses of red wine. Since the days of military-style hardware I have never had any KB to make it though even one drenching. As a bonus, with heavy use now for quite some time, the keycaps feel and appear like new.

Cons: Needed it 10 years ago.

1 out of 5 eggsthis is NOT slim key style

Pros: iogear typical makes decent stuff

Cons: Look at the pictures, the keys are not slim, low-profile. They are normal large(clunky) keys

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for choosing IOGEAR and we apologize for the inconvenience. You comments will be forwarded to the product manager for review. Once again, thank you for choosing IOGEAR.

5 out of 5 eggsPull the trigger!

Pros: Good tactile feel and quiet for general typing. Compact design to save desk space without making critical keys too small or switching to an unconventional layout. The blue lights for num/cap/scroll lock are the best I've seen. The mouse is good too.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: My daughter and I where so impressed with the 1st keyboard after one year that we bought two more for additional PCs.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what a keyboard is supposed to do

Pros: Buttons... it has buttons. Lots of buttons. All the buttons work. They worked yesterday. They work today. They look like they'll still be working tomorrow.

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost perfect

Pros: So much smaller than that beast they gave me at the office. True function keys (no need to hold another key to use them), basic, keys feel very good, stiff folding feet don't fold back very easily if you slide the keyboard over papers or other things, nice long cord, overall solid feel. It has holes in the bottom to drain spilled fluids.

Cons: As others have said, the Enter key is odd - weird shape/placement can be annoying but this is a solid keyboard nonetheless.

Other Thoughts: Came with a mouse but didn't need it. I took a risk and purchased two keyboards at the time - one for me at work and one for my 9-year-old daughter's laptop as a workaround for the arrow keys she ripped off when she was 7. Now she can just plug it into a USB port and play her games.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it should

Pros: *Good quality
*Bargain price
*Solid feel
*Packaged rather well

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: This set replaced an ancient and VERY worn KB & mouse for my mother's system, and she's overall quite pleased with this set.
As with any change of interface devices, she's mentioned a somewhat different feel and tactile response from the devices she had been using for ages, but she reports that it's not enough of a difference to cause any difficulties with normal use.
Mom is also happy with the basic/standard form and appearance, noting in particular that there are no unnecessary design elements to distract her from normal touch-typing activities.

Something which appears unique to this keyboard is the CAPSLOCK, NUMLOCK and SCROLLLOCK lights are built into the top edge-corner of the surface, giving it somewhat of a standout appearance. The lights are also not of the current variety of ultra-high-intensity types, making it easy on the eyes.

Both devices of this set were recognized and enabled by WinXP SP2 upon first boot, and both are working just as should be expected.

For basic functionality with better-than-average quality at a bargain price, this set is a good choice.
