3 out of 5 eggsSIIG mini usb keyboard

Pros: small enough for my small desk ... full QWERTY compatibility

Cons: in some applications, some keys aren't mapped properly ... in certain games (Thief: Deadly Shadows on Steam) the CTRL key doesn't work. Outside of that game, though, CTRL works fine. Didn't have this issue on other keyboard

Other Thoughts: keys are a tight fit, but that's what i needed for desk space. Have to "re-train" my fingers for the smaller footprint, but keyboard works fine.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Perfect size for gaming. I used to have to spread my arms uncomfortably wide and would often slam my mouse into the side of my old keyboard during intense gaming sessions. Now there's no issue!

Cons: Function key is where I think the windows key should be.
It would be neat if there was a separate keypad on the left side.

2 out of 5 eggsFrom great to not so good

Pros: Great feel and size. Mechanically reliable.

Cons: Apparently not intended for other than occasional use.

First one: the iock indicators (num lock/caps lock) failed after a few months. Second one: the key caps wore off after a few months. I notice now on Newegg reviews that many others have experienced this same problem.

Other Thoughts: I was very happy with the first one after a couple of years, except that the num lock/cap lock indicators stopped working within about 6 months. Irritating, but once I understood it easy to deal with. I attributed it to bad luck.

Since I liked the feel, bought a new one perhaps 4 months ago.. My wife got the new one to replace the old one, and I moved the old one to my office. The key labels are already gone on the new one, whereas the old one (with the bad indicators) still looks like new. As additional point of comparison, the home row guide bumps (on the J and K keys) are almost worn off on the old keyboard (with almost perfect labels) whereas they are almost perfect on the new keyboard (with the worn-off labels). I'll be merging the old keycaps with the new body for my wife's office, and buying another brand to replace the one in my office. This was my fourth (and now last) SIIG - the other two are wireless on HTPCs.

4 out of 5 eggs"6" key didn't work, but fixed myself

Pros: I have a narrow keyboard tray, so this fits perfectly on it.

The keys have a nice feel and response. It still feels like a normal keyboard.

Nice feel and response

Cons: The "6" key didn't work and i considered returning it, but shipping it would have been a hassle, so i tried to fix it myself.

I popped off the "6" key and found a piece of chipped plastic inside the crevice. It wasn't from the "6" key, so i don't know where it came from, but it must have obstructed the key and prevented it from pressing down.

I removed the plastic and the "6" key and the rest of the keyboard works well now.

As some have mentioned, the numlock is on by default. It's annoying, but for the price and form factor, it's worth the sacrifice for me.

I wish the space bar was moved more to the left so it's easier for my thumb to press it.

4 out of 5 eggsPerfect size for the space we had

Pros: Great size.
Still works after 2 years.
USB.

Cons: Key stickers wore off after only 3 months of chronic typing. Easy fix was to purchase cheap stickers which still are visible.
Numpad is compensated in laptop fashion with iopjklbnm being 1-0 (or something like that - wore off so i cant report it here) and if your bios has numlock defaulted to on which most do, it can be very confusing when the right half of the board doesn't work - easy fix is to flick it off in the bios.

Other Thoughts: A few minor annoyances with this model, but for its size and durability, i would recommend it. Just make sure you pick up a spare set of stickers with it.

5 out of 5 eggsNicest seen for cost

Pros: I have been using this SiiG Mini keyboard for about 2 or 3 years constantly. I put in 1159 hours on Far Cry 2 using this and have been playing other games also with it, now on Far Cry 3 about 300 hours so far.

I let my 8 year old Grand daughter use this for her to look at You Tube Lalaloopsy and little pet shop videos for hours on end and it just keeps going and looking good. I don't know why the numbers haven't worn off yet.

I just like a small keyboard to game and type on. The regular sized ones look like monsters now. Oh well, at least I am ready for a laptop if I can ever figure a use for one.

Cons: None. The little rubber feets keep it steady and sure. The cable is nice and long. It even looks good.

Other Thoughts: Get this if you like a small laptop style keyboard, even if you don't have a laptop.
They seem to last forever and don't go kababoom if you spill a drink into it.

5 out of 5 eggsNice and compact

Pros: It's compact like a laptop keyboard and it's quieter than a normal keyboard.

Cons: More so an annoyance than a con. The NumLock is on by default when you turn your PC on so you may end up typing in a few random numbers on first use.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard

Pros: Nice, small footprint, felt good to type on (it's no Das Keyboard, but it's not that price point either) and did the job without getting in the way. Would purchase again, but since it still works, I keep it handy when I need it.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Letters started wearing off on the home row after about a year of use - but that's not bad.
