4 out of 5 eggsQuiet - inexpensive

Pros: Was looking for an inexpensive and quiet wireless keyboard and mouse combo. This fit the bill quite well. Compared to a much more expensive keyboard set, it is worth the price. It connected to my XP computer and my new soon-to-be Windows 10 computer (works within the bios setup screens).

Cons: The mouse is a little bit narrow and seems a bit difficult to control. There is no off switch on either the keyboard or mouse. The icons on the keyboard for the media buttons are almost invisible - almost the same color as the keyboard. This may be why the price is so low for a wireless keyboard.

Other Thoughts: I'll use it until it stops working and then get something better. I typically use Microsoft keyboard and mice, but this is a nice change for the money.

I did not purchase this set from Newegg, but had a chance to try out a bunch of keyboards at the store and selected this one because it was the quietest of the bunch and had a nice feel.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: plug in the adapter. put the batteries in the keyboard, and mouse. Everything work as a charm.

Cons: You can't turn off the mouse or keyboard. So the batteries will run down fast. So 1 egg off.

Other Thoughts: Good cheap products Worth the money.

1 out of 5 eggsWorked ok for a Month

Pros: It worked well for about a month.

Cons: then it died. Not needed new batteries, just went crazy. The computer couldn't even recognize it anymore. Don't buy, spend the money for a nicer keyboard/mouse.

1 out of 5 eggsComplete trash!

Pros: Nice looking package

Cons: The mouse jumps all over, and you can't use it. The keyboard has a lag, and has to be VERY close to work.

Other Thoughts: Get the HP wireless keyboard, and a microsoft mouse. They are great.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: Compact size

Cons: Mouse sometimes had trouble communicating with 'puter 9 feet away.
Key fell off, wouldn't stay on after that.
Keys have squishy feeling

Other Thoughts: Before the "D" key broke off I was using it with my media computer. Its small size was real handy. But after the performance and quality problems, I've upgraded to a Microsoft keyboard - mouse combo. Keyboard and mouse are larger, but quality is much better.

2 out of 5 eggsDoes not live up to specs

Pros: Standard keyboard layout. Mouse has 4 buttons and scroll wheel. One of the most inexpensive wireless keyboards with those features. Keyboard powers itself down after awhile when no keystrokes are detected to save battery.

Cons: RANGE! This thing claims to work up to about 33 feet. I have been lucky to get 10 feet without it completely not working. Mouse either jumps all over the screen or does not respond at all, keystrokes go constantly missed. If this keyboard worked up to 15-20 feet this would be ideal for me, but can't even get close to that.

A minor annoyance is the keyboard shutting down its power so sometimes my first keystroke goes missed as instead of transmitting that keystroke it turns the keyboard back on. Not too terrible but sometimes it seems like I just used the keyboard not long ago and it already goes to low-power mode.

Other Thoughts: I tried this keyboard as a cheap usable keyboard+mouse to use for a media center PC and I have been somewhat disappointed. This will get me through for a little while but the failure to be operational at range is bad. Sometimes it will work perfectly at 8-10 feet, other times I will have to move the keyboard and mouse forward a foot or two to get solid transmission. Will hold me over for a little bit until I decide to get a more expensive keyboard that I know works better at range, probably has better keyboard, better mouse response and more features.

3 out of 5 eggsOkay for occasional use

Pros: One of the few wireless keyboards with a completely standard layout (shrunken F keys aside), so you won't be fighting your muscle memory. Keyboard batteries go for months, even with constant use. Simple setup, no drivers required, works even in the BIOS.

Cons: Keys are mushy and require a more forceful push than most keyboards. When reactivating the keyboard after an idle period, the first keypress is often lost. The only indicator light is "Low Battery", so you can't tell whether the keyboard is even powered/connected, and whether Num/Caps/Scroll Lock is on. Media keys are completely non-functional for me under Windows 7, and Siig doesn't offer any drivers to install for this model.

Other Thoughts: Due to the mushiness issue, I wouldn't recommend this keyboard for constant daily use. I didn't review the mouse because I've barely used it, but do note that A) the sensor is off-center, which makes the motion feel a bit "off", and B) the tracking sensitivity is 1600CPI and cannot be changed.

1 out of 5 eggsJust not Ready

Pros: Nice feel, liked the layout and the features of both the mouse and the keyboard

Cons: constant connectivity/pairing problems. Intermittent range problems (less than 10 feet at times).

Other Thoughts: Nice product and features but not ready for market.
Had to return for refund.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor QC, lousy tactile feel.

Pros: spill holes
traditional layout
good range
usb transceiver is small (thumb drive) and out of the way
price (20 after 20 rebate)
2 side buttons
no lag when using keyboard and mouse same time
good battery life (keyboard, see mouse in con's)

Cons: keyboard key's fill a bit smushy
no software
mouse wheel button is stiff
mouse EXTREMELY sensitive
keyboard has 1 screw head stripped
f1 key did not work i had to remove the key and found the rubber button under the key was twisted.. i fixed it but seems like QC is poor
no encryption?
Impossible to bring computer out of standby.. might be a USB limitation i dont know.
no ps2 option (yes i still prefer it then waste a usb port)
battery life.. mouse eat's rechargeable batteries about once a week..

Other Thoughts: f1 key did'nt work.
i popped the key off and seen the little rubber button was twisted.
i took a small screw driver and was able to set it back in place.. works now.

lousy QC, poor tactile feel.. i should have stuck with logitech which i had for 10 years my prior set i was replacing.

keyboard goes sleep or losses connection after about 20 seconds.
so the 1st key you hit usually does nothing.. not a big deal but can be annoying.

I bought this set around new years and have used it daily for the last few months to give it a fair shake before reviewing.

this set was to replace a logitech set i had for 10 years.. the mouse buttons starting going bad on it.

the traditional layout drew me to this KB/Mouse set but im very disappointed with it.

It has a few good points but i plan on replacing it soon.
