Rosewill Mechanical Keyboard RK-9000BL with Cherry MX Black Switch

Pros: cool keyboard works great no issues
Great price!!! So i bought a 2nd one but a little different model for wife.
normally im pretty easy on my hardware but i have been overclocking in a contest and this keyboard hasnt had the best treatment and works flawlessly. I do throw it in a box when i travel.

Cons: I had to slow down typing a bit because its much easier to type than on my regular keyboards. Once I got used to the speed increase my typing speed went up a fair amount. Not really a con just easier to type so it took a bit to get used to.

Other Thoughts: Get em while the're hot!

Pros: This is a very nice keyboard, at a very good price. I like the build quality and the look, it is simple and the USB port is a nice touch. It seem there are some problems with the USB port getting damage base on other reviews and feedbacks. Connect the cable carefully, I used a more flexible cable from my Sony camera and try not to disconnect or bend the cable to often to avoid any possible problems. The USB cable is call "USB 2.0 Mini Type B 5 Position"

Cons: Need to take care of.

Other Thoughts: I intentionally purchase this keyboard without LED back-light for gaming to save some money, Cherry MX Black Switches seems to be my favorite to play, go research Cherry Switches to decide whats better for you. I am not afraid to scratch the paint off the keys because you can buy replacement keys, even in different colors as most Cherry switches have the same key cap mounting, you need a key remover.

Pros: Cherry Blacks are nice to type on.

Cons: As others have stated the connection between the USB cable and the keyboard is no good. After only moving the keyboard twice I'm having serious connectivity issues.

Pros: Excellent Keyboard with a nice feel.

Cons: 2 Months of use, and the number "4" key doesn't work correctly. I have to push it in and to the side for it to register.

Other Thoughts: HUGE waste of money; now useless; and for what?...a little more attention to the attachment strength!!

Pros: AMAZING keying, no issues with key's and has been perfect for a cherry mx black

Cons: mini USB ports on all devices fail easily, and this device is no exception. practically from day one it's been loose.

Other Thoughts: someone with decent knowledge of soldering components should be able to resolder it. but that's not the best practice for a product...

Pros: Simple, Sturdy frame, Amazingly fast and accurate when typing.

Cons: Micro USB connector in my first keyboard broke off and fell into the case making the keyboard useless. RMA process was easier than usual but my second keyboard began failing to register keys. RMA'd the second keyboard buy my warranty is about to expire meaning I will probably be going after my keyboard with a soldering iron or buying a new one in a few months.

Other Thoughts: Each keyboard I got from Rosewill seems to last 4 months on the dot before failing. I purchased the original keyboard on April and it failed in August, the second one I got in August and it failed in December. After the first keyboard failed I hid my second away so it wouldn't get bumped or damaged, I was able to keep the Micro-USB port from breaking off or becoming loose however the keys started malfunctioning anyways.

Pros: For the price one of the best keyboards out there. I had wanted to upgrade to Mechanical keyboard for a long time but could never justify the cost as student. I love the simple design as I was getting fed up with all the extra buttons keyboards seem to have these days. As a keyboard this works great with a good feel to the keys and obvious quick response. I am also a big fan of the cables and the fact that the connector is standard so I can just use a cable from one of my PS3 controllers in a pinch.

Cons: As most people stated the connector on the keyboard is not manufactured well. Mine crapped out after about 6 months. I noticed for a while that I could wiggle the connector and get my connection back so I knew it was a problem with the usb on the keyboard. So...like any good engineer I opened it up and noticed that the connector was hanging by a thread. so 5 Minutes later at the soldering iron and bam the connector is sturdy and another 4 months later and the thing hasn't budged. So while this is clearly a QC issue that rosewill should resolve it is not a hard fix if you have the tools.

Other Thoughts: Head the reviews...the connector will most likely fail on you after a short amount of time so be prepared to RMA or to fix it yourself.

Pros: Cherry MX Black. 11mo of use w/ no problems. $100

Cons: Occasionally sold out. $100

Other Thoughts: I have a plain, flat desk that I keep my keyboard on. I move it a few inches to clear a space for writing. I move it back. Normally, all the bad reviews would scare me away. But this was the only Cherry MX Black keyboard available at the time. This is the best keyboard I've ever had. I type. I play.

Pros: When the keyboard is working I like it.

Cons: It worked intermittently and then stopped working altogether. I tried both usb and ps2. There is no information included with the product for how to troubleshoot possible driver-related issues.
