1 out of 5 eggsLow quality keyboard

This review is from: Rosewill RK-9000BRI - Mechanical Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown Switches

Pros: * Sturdy construction
* Nice "clicky" action
* Removable USB cord

Cons: * Keys stop working
* Too loud

Other Thoughts: My company bought this keyboard for me about a year ago. The keyboard was working fine until the "+" key on the keypad stopped working. The numbers on numeric keypad now feel less responsive and the "," key sometimes needs to be hit more than once to register. The Rosewill warranty is a joke and it has been discountinued on newegg, so I am left with $100 dud

5 out of 5 eggsLove this keyboard!

This review is from: Rosewill RK-9000BRI - Mechanical Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown Switches

Pros: Looks awesome, feels great

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Buy it, you won't regret it. It is a great upgrade from a standard keyboard for games and writing papers.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good

This review is from: Rosewill RK-9000BRI - Mechanical Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown Switches

Pros: Great color, great feel, moved from a stock slim board to this for my workstation. I play a lot of games and type quite a lot. I could tell instantly that I could type faster!

Cons: Louder than I expected, and its nothing more than a standard keyboard. If you skype people a lot, prepare for them to get slightly annoyed with you. My microphone is about 2 ft from the keyboard and my friends all said "Wow, thats really loud!" I cant imagine having a MX blue...

It's a little pricy from what I'm used to, but then again this is my first mechanical keyboard.

It would be nice if there were some other controls. When I'm in a fullscreen game, I dont want to alt-tab to turn the volume up/down in my headphones and miss out on the game. My last board had the volume keys on it, and now that they're gone, I miss them!

Other Thoughts: I will get many years (hopefully) life out of it, and I'm sure I'll get useed to the noisiness.

5 out of 5 eggsSturdy Mech Keyboard

This review is from: Rosewill RK-9000BRI - Mechanical Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown Switches

Pros: Brown switches have a tactile feel but no clicky sound, which is good. The keys are still fairly loud when typing, just not clicky. I would suggest you try out some different switches to figure out which color suits your preference. Also, the keyboard is rather weighty despite being made of plastic. No frills or fancy bits, just a solid mechanical keyboard.

Cons: The casing is made of plastic, not metal. But it is heavy enough that it feels like it has metal on the inside. Backlighting and macro keys are left out, but belong on a more expensive model anyway. This keyboard is a "budget" model because its under $100 but its definitely NOT a cheaply made product.

Other Thoughts: A simple keyboard layout and a beautiful white design with black keys looks SUPER SLICK!! If you need backlighting or extra keys on the cheap check out another brand like Corsair or CM.

5 out of 5 eggsSimple but Effective

This review is from: Rosewill RK-9000BRI - Mechanical Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown Switches

Pros: -Highly stylish (I'm really vain and wanted a matching keyboard for my Blue/White and Black build.)
-Cherry Brown switches are quieter and have a really comfortable bounceback.
-Tactile keypress has allowed me to type more effectively than I have in years.
-Simple, so less to break I suppose.

Cons: -A bit pricy for a basic mechanical keyboard.
-No Flair options like backlit options or extra USB connectors which would be nice, but hey, it's a keyboard, it does what it needs to.

Other Thoughts: Overall great so far, only owned a week so far and will update if I have issues or if it holds strong by the year mark.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst mechanical keyboard

This review is from: Rosewill RK-9000BRI - Mechanical Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown Switches

Pros: * Stylish (especially for anyone doing a black/white build)
* Solid construction with very nice keys and switches
* Nice tactile feel without the obnoxious noise of the blues (no offense to blue lovers! >.<)
* Not a bad price for a mechanical keyboard!

Cons: * Kind of wish there was some sort of volume control feature but that would take away from the standard look so I understand
* Nothing else yet! People tend to complain about the usb connector on the keyboard going bad but mine is brand new so I will let you know!

Other Thoughts: So far I am really loving joining the mechanical keyboard world!

5 out of 5 eggsA stand-out keyboard

This review is from: Rosewill RK-9000BRI - Mechanical Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown Switches

Pros: -A solid feel
-Great Mechanical typing experience
-Stylish Off-white(Ivory) Color
-Simple, full key layout, very traditional
-No intrusive branding or awful typeface on the keys

Cons: In my limited experience with mechanical keyboards, this one sounds a tad tinny when you bottom out the keys. But it still sounds amazing.

Other Thoughts: This keyboard is a quality build, with a a lot going for it. What I did do as a precaution was buy a right-angle mini-USB cable to use instead of the supplied cable.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst Mechanical Keyboard

This review is from: Rosewill RK-9000BRI - Mechanical Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown Switches

Pros: I obtained this keyboard through a Rosewill deal- for about 70$. That said, this keyboard is of the cheaper category, in comparison with the others.

The overall build of the keyboard is sturdy, and the white finish contrasts with the black key set. Not only that, the keys are easily modded, so that's also a plus.

Typing-wise, there's a clear distinction between your average keyboard, and a Cherry Switch mechanical keyboard. It's certainly louder, but has an increased tactile function.

Cons: NONE.

Other Thoughts: I somewhat wanted a mechanical keyboard with back-light, but it's not too much of an issue.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME!

This review is from: Rosewill RK-9000BRI - Mechanical Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown Switches

Pros: Everything. At first I wasn't a fan of the white keyboard with black keys, but after a few days I've grown to love the look. The function is also superior. After only a few days with this keyboard, trying to use a laptop or other non-mechanical keyboard feels like typing on a sponge.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: I've only had it a few days, so hopefully it lasts. My last keyboard was the squishy dome type and it lasted 14 years of daily use, so there should be no excuse for this one to at least equal that.
