4 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard but needs on-board memory

Pros: Very durable keyboard and does what it is supposed to.

Cons: Doesn't save the back light settings so you need to set them every time you turn on your PC. Didn't think this would annoy me (I read it in other reviews prior to purchase) but it does.

Keys are quite a bit louder than I expected. I got the Brown Cherry MX and they are much louder than I thought they would be based on other keyboards I have used. The keys are much lighter touch and give less feedback than normal brown cherry mx switches. I can feel the bump, but it is definitely less than on standard brown cherrys.

Other Thoughts: If I had to do it again I might have just gone with the blue cherry or black cherry. Not enough feedback off these keys to make them much different than the blacks and they are too loud to make it much different than the blues. The black switches would have given more force behind the keys and the blues more feedback. I had a sample set of keys from (another website) and these keys feel nothing like the keys I got in the sample.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard

Pros: Although this is the first mechanical keyboard I have owned, I am very pleased with it. I like the MX Browns, the keyboard is accurate with out being too loud. The keyboard has a very sturdy construction and is comfortable to use.

Cons: There is only one con and that would be that the back lighting settings don't save if you turn off the computer or unplug the computer. Not a huge issue for me as my computer runs most of the time and when I do turn it off and back on its only a few key strokes away from your appropriate settings.

Other Thoughts: I would highly recommend getting this keyboard. Well worth the $79.99 I paid.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard!

Pros: Overall good keyboard. Your standard mechanical keyboard with cool lighting features.
I'm not sure why people are saying that if you sleep your computer the lights on the keyboard arent there when you turn it back on, because my keyboard still has the same lighting before and after i sleep the computer.

Cons: Im not sure why, but the backspace and other larger keys (excluding the spacebar) do not have the same actuation feel as the other keys. I don't know if this is intentional.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard for first-time mech owner

Pros: Great feel, study build, nifty customizable backlighting

Cons: Backlighting is Christmas colors, board doesn't automatically resume your last backlighting option chosen

Other Thoughts: This keyboard is awesome. I wanted a keyboard to bring to work with me to replace the awful HP keyboard I got when I started, and felt I might as well upgrade since I do a lot of typing at my job. This keyboard feels like quality and is not too loud in an office setting (I chose the brown switches for this reason). The backlighting is useful for in the mornings when there isn't a lot of light coming in the windows, and when the lighting is off the board looks very low-key. It's a great board, and I type very quickly on it. I would definitely recommend this board to anyone looking for an affordable mechanical board to either get into mechanical boards, or for something subtle and relatively inexpensive to bring to work while still being a high quality mechanical keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard

Pros: Very nice feel to the keyboard - solid, firm, key travel is smooth.
Built in Taiwan, not China like others. I have a China-build keyboard and it is markedly lower in quality.
Great value at the current price on Newegg.
The lighting can be set to many desired levels and color, for anyone's usage.

Cons: It does lose the lighting settings after power loss, but I found out that my desired setting (and maybe desired for many others) can be achieved simply by hitting Fn + F9,F10,F11,F12 onc each, quickly, in order. Not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: This keyboard is an excellent value for anyone who wants a lighted Cherry MX brown switch keyboard. I'm glad I found it. As others have said, it is a simple keyboard without all the fancy gaming add-on's, which is great for people like me, who mainly type and program.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Backlit Mechanical Keyboard

Pros: Wanted to go with Cherry MX Browns for my latest keyboard, and Newegg was having a sale on the Helios line. Overall, a nice keyboard. Backlight is good, but not as bright as some competing boards.

As the pictures show, you can change the WASD keys or Arrow keys separately from the other backlight options.

Key caps feel nice. No issues with their fit.

Cons: Keyboard has no onboard memory. Every time you boot up, you have to activate the backlight. That's at least once for the main keys, once for the WASD cluster, once for the Arrow keys, and two to three times for the brightness (it defaults to lowest).

That's a lot of key presses just to get the backlight to your favorite settings so keep that in mind.

The Caps Lock, Scroll Lock, and Num Lock all stay lit and have separate lights in the top right. Personally, I prefer the backlight to deactivate when I turn them off, but it's a minor quibble.

Other Thoughts: Knew about the backlight issue from another review, but my work computer stays on 24/7 so it won't be much of an issue for me. It's definitely a cost cutting measure though, since most current backlit keyboards have onboard memory.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: This keyboard is very solid. I honestly like the feel of the keys as well as the over all build quality more than the Logitech G710+.

Cons: Having to turn on the backlighting each time you pull your machine out of sleep or restart is a minor drag. It would have been nice if a memory bank was built in.

Other Thoughts: Would have been a nice feature if this unit came with the wrist wrest that some of the other Rosewill keyboards are bundled with.

Otherwise I am satisfied with the product. Main goal was to get a shorter mechanical keyboard that still had the 10-key. This did the job. about two inches shorter than most others.

4 out of 5 eggsNot a bad buy

Pros: Nice led backlit combos (like Christmas lights :) ) . Solid build quality. I like that it is not as glossy as my DAS Professional S :D
Probably revisit this after few months of use.

Cons: No secondary char. illumination. No onboard memory. And because of that you lose your backlit setting with each reboot, a bit disappointing but not a deal breaker for me.

Other Thoughts: I hope this Keyboard connector doesn't get loose after regular use. I would have preferred my DAS Keyboard connector here.
