4 out of 5 eggsGood, some issues might be fixable

Pros: Good to type on, LEDs are nice and bright. The keys were easy to remove, I appreciate the key puller. Mine also came with the CD.

Cons: You only get a good 6 colors or so right now. I tried choosing some of the inbetween colors but they look the same as the main colors. I assume this will be fixed in the software update. Is anyone else's white a greenish-white? My yellow is also a greenish-yellow. I don't know if this is a fault of my keyboard, or if everyone's is like this and it'll be fixed in the future software update.

I don't like the bright blue "Gaming mode" LED, it's too big/bright and unnecessary. Another con is "PC mode"--which allows use of the Windows key--only works in the pinkish/purple color. If you "Color Loop" the profiles, it'll change colors while in PC mode... you just can't have it a solid other color. A disadvantage of the Color Loop is it fades to black inbetween colors, so there's a good chance I can't read the keys when looking down for a moment. The last oddity is Color Loop doesn't just do profiles 1-5, it includes the pink/purple PC mode color.

Other Thoughts: Worth it on sale. I wish the multimedia keys were separate, instead of needing two hands to press FN + F-keys. I also wish the FN key (or Menu key) was a 2nd Windows key, instead of needing two hands to press Windows + L (to lock the screen). Maybe I can remap the Menu key in the future, but "Key Assignment" is currently grayed out.

I bought some cheap O-rings to dampen the bottoming-out noise, I got 70A, 3/16" inner diameter, 5/16" outer diameter, and they fit and work nice.

4 out of 5 eggsKeyboard is great; software is lacking

Pros: As per the title, the physical keyboard itself is great. The switches feel great to type on and have a very satisfying "click" to them. It feels built very sturdily, no creaks or movement anywhere at all. Very solid construction. The lights also look very nice, especially with the optional transparent keys

Cons: The big problem I have with this keyboard is the software. As others have said, the software does not currently support the full color options promised. I was aware that this would be the case, as it's not a big deal to me. However, I was disappointed to find even more restrictions than I was expecting. There are two "zone" brightness settings that only enable LEDs on specific keys. These zones cannot be customized. Also, there is a "gaming" mode and "PC" mode. In the gaming mode, you have the option of several hundred colors for your keyboard, but in PC mode, there is no way to change the color to anything but purple. I leave the keyboard in gaming mode most of the time, but this disables the windows key. If I want to use the windows key, I have to switch to PC mode, and the keyboard lights up purple and only purple. I'm hoping to see this fixed in a future software update.

Other Thoughts: Contrary to other reviews, I did in fact receive a software CD with my purchase.

One minor thing: There are three lights above the arrow keys that indicate gaming/PC mode, caps lock, and scroll lock. These only light up blue regardless of your color choice for the rest of the keys

5 out of 5 eggsFrom Membrane to Mechanical

Pros: - COLORS. Lots of colors and they are very bright. Highest brightness hurts my eyes, that is how bright they are. I use low brightness. NOTE: Sometimes the colors are inaccurate..... for example: Orange turns out yellow, so you have to set it to a redish orange color for orange. Same goes for pink and purple.

- Switches. They feel awesome coming from a membrane, clicky, loud, tactile feel, and extremely easy to press.

- TenKeyless. Who uses number pad for games? Allows my mouse to be closer to the keyboard.

- Key caps. They have nice grip to them.

- Macro. Its works.

Cons: - Software. It is unfinished and updating the profile is slow. About 30 second per update to keyboard.

Other Thoughts: I have been only using this keyboard for a day and i am very please with it. Colors, Kailh Switches (They are actually good), TenKeyless, and Programmable Keys. All for only $95 dollars !

The only PERSONAL problem i have with it, is that the keys register even with the slightest touch. I type 113 wpm with a keyboard that came with the computer and it is membrane. I switched over to this keyboard and i get about 10 words less and more errors. Maybe i just need to practice and get use to it.

Will update review months later.

5 out of 5 eggsA solid investment.

Pros: It's got a hefty build, and the keys are responsive. I spend a lot of my time writing, and after a couple years using stock gel-switch keyboards, switching to mechanical was like discovering a new arm. This is not the noisiest gaming keyboard I've heard, in fact I find it strikes the perfect balance.

I've actually found the LED aspect slightly more useful than I would have expected? It's nice to move around between colors, it sort of reinvigorates the keyboard, reminds you it's there and that maybe you have some stuff to do. That's what it does for me, anyway. Your mileage may vary.

My absolute favorite thing about this though is the TEXTURE. Goodness gracious, the texture. The whole thing is rubberized so in general it just feels nice, but more importantly, IT ISN'T GLOSSY. I cannot express how much I hate glossy consumer electronics. They are impossible to keep clean and always end up looking disgusting after a few days. I've used this keyboard for well over a month and it still looks fantastic. Plus, the included key removal tool will make cleaning this thing down the road a lot simpler.

Cons: Oh no, it doesn't have a ten key! And the software doesn't operate at the speed of light??? 0/10

Other Thoughts: If you're thinking, "hey, I could go for a mechanical keyboard," but you're worried that this one isn't good because it's cheaper? Ignore that impulse. This is a solid keyboard and it does exactly what it needs to. There are pros out there who might harp on it for using different switches from what they're used to, or on any number of other qualities, but it's always worth noting that pros are often immersed in detail that is meaningless to the average consumer. You don't need to know the history of a vineyard to enjoy a glass of wine, you don't need to be film critic to enjoy a movie, and you don't have to spend 400 dollars or more to get a gaming keyboard that works. Get this thing and never look back.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid performance at a reasonable price

Pros: The board is constructed well with very little flex to it. The keys are similarly well built with no signs of wear so far. The LEDs are bright and color options are still very high, despite the 16.8 million option not being out yet. The board has feet with rubber tips that keep the unit very still unless you purposefully push the board to move it. The cable is thick and sleeved nicely, with 3 routing options: left, middle and right.

Cons: The software is incomplete right now as it doesn't let you select all 16.8 million colors. It's also not very intuitive with many options not actually labeled, so you have to play around with it a bit to figure out how to change various settings on your board.

Other Thoughts: It's a $100 solidly build mechanical keyboard, which would be worth the price even without full RGB. Great value.

Cons: Key board flashes in "Medium brightness" and "Breathing Mode". It is okay in "Max Brightness".

5 out of 5 eggsLOUD decent gaming keyboard

Pros: Some great lighting, obviously.
Wonderful build quality and feel to the thing. Nice heft!
Key's texture feels nice and are very satisfying to push, as weird as that sounds.
Lighting quick response times good for gaming and typing.
Compact yet large enough for my big hands.
Keys separated from each other to keep from accidental pushes.

Cons: LOUD!!! It's incredible loud. Like loud enough I hear them over my headphones and my friends complain when I'm on mic with them.
I can't understate the absurdity enough. It literally sounds like a type writer.

Other Thoughts: Honestly the noise is not enough to take an egg off, but I'd say it warrants half an egg off.
The feeling and coolness of the lighting trump all in my opinion.

So all in all 4.5 eggs.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: the key switches are wonderful and feel just as good as cherry mx blues, the color palette is great and the weight of the actual board is nice so it doesn't slide around on my metal keyboard tray

Cons: the LED on my left bracket key is stuck with a red hue to it. this means colors that are on the pale side always have a red tint to them on the bracket key. not sure if this is just a software issue or if it's a hardware one, ultimately not a huge deal as i can cover it up with a slightly darker color than i'm using now (gray-blue) but kind of a bummer nonetheless.
