1 out of 5 eggsNeeds Luck

Pros: Makes a good first impression and looks like it might be a good keyboard. Has a nice array of keys.

Cons: The mouse pointer has a mind of its own rendering the rest of the keyboard useless. Getting the pointer to stop moving where you want is a project.

Other Thoughts: This might be a use full HTPC keyboard if it had a trackball.

4 out of 5 eggsWorth it

Pros: •IR for turning on/off TV
•Works from my couch (computer above TV)
•Mostly full keyboard
•Black (like all my other remotes)
•Comes with USB (battery recharge) cable
•Full 3 button mouse operation
•Preprogrammed buttons (my favorite is the close window X button, awesome for when the TV is off and I need to close Pandora)
•Size is small enough to be handheld and out of the way on my coffee table

Cons: •Bit flakey; I bought 2 and one has had some issues (more than the other) that I have been too lazy to deal with...again
•Cuts out during use (often after sitting only a few seconds) and I have to tap a key (ctrl, shift, etc.) a few times to bring the mouse control back
•EATS BATTERIES FOR BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER, & rechargeables!! (Fresh set last a couple months)
•Size (as I said in the pro) it is small for a keyboard/mouse combo so if you have very large hands this may be more difficult, but it is more of a (TV) remote control
•Mouse control is not very fluid (takes some getting used to)

Other Thoughts: It could be more reliable but the IR for the TV is the number 1 seller. The mouse control is a tad bit difficult but it is just a remote control for the TV so it’s not like you should be playing games and typing documents with it. I use this for a computer on my TV (I got rid of cable as I'm never home for it) and it’s perfect for Netflix, Pandora, and browsing my network drive. I also connected the audio output to my receiver, set up a batch file that runs from the RUN line (Windows), and can start Pandora without even turning on the TV. The close window button (as in the pros) allows me to shut down Pandora when I leave, again without turning on the TV. Overall the device is awesome (design concept) but its flakiness is mildly annoying (keep an extra keyboard/mouse around in case it craps completely; I have VNC so that is my alternative). My second one (for the bedroom) I mentioned in the cons, might work again, I just have been too lazy (as I said) to work on it…again (I don’t like to watch TV in the bedroom).

3 out of 5 eggsDon't buy

Pros: 1. Light weight (to me)
2. Useful extra keys (volume, browser, close window, zoom, shutdown, media keys)
3. Has a mouse built-in
4. As far as I can tell it doesn't suck the life out of batteries.
5. Can control TV with IR remote
6. Said remote can be automatically configured (if you do it right)

CONS: Ran out of room in the con section. :(

1. Wireless signal easily blocked by your leg or furniture.
2. Wireless signal really weak and barely makes it 10 ft. (This may be partly because I have the dongle plugged into a front usb port and those ports are not always fully powered. I would put it in the back, but then the signal would be blocked, which brings me to my next point.)
3. The included usb extension cable is a joke. It's less than one foot long! (I would have used it to connect the dongle to a back port, but it would not even reach over the top of my PC if I did.)

Cons: 4. The keyboard is not full-size. It's hard to type with. (I knew that buying it, but it's still a con, and it's hard to tell from the picture.)
5. The keys are not lighted, which would have be a MAJOR pro as I use this in a bed room at night.
6. !!!IMPORTANT!!! - The mouse likes to "glitch out" and do weird things. When using the stick or scroll-wheel, sometimes it randomly right clicks (no left click luckily). The stick can get stuck, and you have to jiggly it to get it unstuck. Or, the pointer will just stop moving and you have to hit a keyboard key to get it to work again. The scroll wheel likes to make you instantly scroll up A LOT (as I saw on very long pages).
7. Obvious cheap construction. Should have been better for the $55 I paid.

Other Thoughts: I kinda wish I had bought the full-size logitech keyboard with a touchpad mouse instead. Stick with the good brands.

However, I don't fully regret the purchase, or I would have returned it for my money back. I did get a DEFECTIVE ONE at first, but the second worked as I described above. I do like the IR remote. It's kinda awkward to use, but the important keys for me are on the top and easy to use. And some of the other keys are really useful too.

Really, the perfect keyboard for an HTPC (that's what I'm using this for) would have all the features of this, except a touchpad mouse instead, and be full-size, have lighted keys, and a more powerful wireless signal. Sadly, as far as I know, (and I searched extensively when I bought this) such a keyboard does not exist. :(

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Decent Size

Cons: The thumbpad you use for a mouse is just awful.
It constantly goes from not responding to inputs to flying all over the screen. Good luck trying to get it over the button you are trying to click!
The receiver is terrible. Won't work plugged into the back of the computer. Works okay plugged into the front (for key clicks, anyways).
REALLY needs a trigger mouse button given the thumb pad layout for the mouse.

Other Thoughts: Returning mine.

4 out of 5 eggsHas Potential

Pros: RF, IR Learning, Keyboard, & Mouse all in one! Seriously this is the dream gadget for media centers users.

IR Learning means that you can control the power on/off TV and switch the inputs.

RF for the mouse and keyboard, I have found to provide better performance (IR requires that you are lined up directly infront of receiver, its a big pain if you type fast or want to use the mouse reliably).

Cons: With all the features going for it, I wish more attention was given to layout and available shortcuts. For example, there are no shortcuts for guide, live tv, recorded tv, etc... These are staples in a media center remote. Also mouse buttons are directly under the thumb pad. This greatly reduces effiency.

Other Thoughts: If you never want to get up out of the chair. I think this is a home run. It is tough to be everything to everyone, so be sure to check out the shortcuts and see if they cover what you need.

I have not played around with this product, so cannot comment on quality and performance.
