The KR-6820E is very small and compact design. That makes the I-ROCKS KR-6820E more along the lines of a notebook keyboard size wise than a typical desktop keyboard. While the dimensions are small, the KR-6820E still packs in a full number pad. Along the top edge of the keyboard are 3 LED indicators. The backlighting on the keyboard is very bright and uniform over the entire keyboard. All the keys are backlit and you can turn the backlight on or off. Made with anti-ghosting technology for extended gaming sessions, users will have no issues with ghosting while playing games. The keyboard has a pair of stands to angle the rear of the keyboard up to make typing comfortable.

  • newegg Compact Design This keyboard utilizes a compact and space-saving design for an easy transport, convenient placement and less space occupied.
  • newegg LED Back Light The considerate LED back light makes keys easy to read in the night or low light condition, and the LED ON/OFF switch allows you to turn on/off the back light conveniently when necessary.
  • newegg Anti-Ghosting Anti-ghosting capability for up to 11 keys makes this keyboard ideal for even the most demanding game users.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It is slim and very pretty. The placement of the keys is tight but has some getting used to. It feels very soft and smooth to the touch. I like the fact that there is an on and off switch for the light.

Cons: I didn't think it would actually be a con, but the led is way too bright for me. That is the only reason why I am returning. I would like to have a back-lit keyboard, but it is so bright that it hurts my eyes, even when I am just looking at my screen.

4 out of 5 eggsGood keyboard

Pros: Plug it in and use it - it works great. The blue LED's are nice looking. I love the option to turn LED's on and off at my leisure too.

Cons: Only con I can think of is that all the keys are really close together, makes it a little bit harder to locate the arrows or number keys by feel... but that's just personal preference really.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible keyboard, worse customer service

Pros: The back lighting is very nice.

Cons: It doesn't work, at all. Keys ghost, the 'w' key in particular 'skips' when you are using it to move a character forward in any game, and often when I am typing I guess it is too fast for this keyboard and letters are missed. I tried to send it back to newegg, but they rejected it because it was missing the original packaging. Really? Who keeps a box after opening something like this? They wouldn't even exchange it, and they ignored my emails to customer service about it, eventually shipping it back to me with a note that said "no response".

I have generally had good experiences here at Newegg, but I will think twice before buying a keyboard from a lesser known brand, no matter how nice it looks.

5 out of 5 eggsGood gaming keyboard for the price.

Pros: Blue LEDs look awesome.
Keys are fairly quiet.
Compact design, but keys are still in expected locations.
On/Off switch for LED lights.
Anti-ghosting for the gamers.

Cons: LEDs are either on or off, other than this you cannot control their brightness.

Other Thoughts: I use this keyboard daily, including for gaming.

Some have complained about the keyboard being brittle. While it isn't exactly made of reinforced titanium, I have been using this keyboard for a little less than year and have never had anything break. Perhaps it takes longer, but I haven't seen it yet. It should be mentioned that there are sturdier keyboards out there, but for the price, I cannot complain.

The same goes with keys not working. Some have said that certain keys stopped working after a while. I have yet to experience this too.

Overall, this is a solid gaming keyboard with a simple design. Great for people like me who don't want to drop $100 on a gaming keyboard. Also, I was looking for a white one with Blue LED's and this one of maybe two that I could find so...

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Keyboard

Pros: Works well, low profile keys, good backlight, easy to see, sturdy.

Cons: Bad key layout, too bright

Other Thoughts: This keyboard is nice. It has mid-to-low profile keys, but if you have a really light touch, key presses might not register. I haven't had any problem with lag or lost inputs. The stands on the back only tilt the keyboard about 10 degrees, so not very much.

The backlight is really cool with a nice color to it. However, it is pretty bright, but it's still easy to see the keys when it is off.

My biggest complaint about this keyboard is the key layout. Look at the pictures closely before you buy it. on one hand, the F keys are close to the rest of the keys, which is nice for gaming. On the other hand, a lot of keys are in weird places. The context menu key ("right click" key) is to the left of the left alt key. This especially annoys me because that is where the Windows key is supposed to be, and I'm used to using the Windows key for a lot of shortcuts. The page up and page down keys are on the bottom to the right of the right alt key. The arrow keys are squished in under the Return key, and the home, end, insert, delete, etc. keys are relegated to the top row on the right. This all stems from the num-pad being squished in to make a shorter keyboard. I guess this is good if you have limited space for a keyboard, but it may take getting used to.

All in all, it's a good, pretty keyboard. If you can get past the unorthodox key layout, it's a good buy.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy

Pros: Very bright, has bright blue under glow under the keys as well as the illumination of the characters on the keyboard. Can turn the lighting off during the day to get the most life from lights.

Cons: None so

Other Thoughts: Was looking for an illuminated key board a lot of them were 80 and up to 200 offering of course a lot more features, features I didn't need or want to pay for.
