3 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted

Pros: Worked right out of the box. Worked really well. Nice to have it plug in and start working right away. Has been rock solid. Didn't go through batteries.

Cons: The backspace is a bit small and when I would try to hit the backspace I would consistently hit the back slash button.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this one iRocks keyboard and 4 Logi***h keyboards at the same time. All of the other keyboards are still working. Like Jerry L. I was typing away and the keyboard just died. I am 10 days away from exactly 18 months from purchase date. Is there a pattern?

3 out of 5 eggsHow long is long enough?

Pros: Very sturdy and good range.

Cons: Didn't last very long.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure what is considered good life for a wireless keyboard. I have a full sized Log***h that is still perfectly fine after 2 yrs. This one sat next to my bed and wasn't really used that much but stopped powering on after 18 months.

2 out of 5 eggsGood Product... TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Pros: Smooth response, rarely loses signal or misses a key. Quiet and lightweight

Cons: Don't ever lose your RF transceiver, because the outsourced "tech support" will do nothing to help you. When I called customer support I was told in broken English that they would just send me a new USB transceiver via mail if I sent my address to their tech guys... what I received however was a slew of reply emails (also in broken English) telling me to go online to purchase the transceiver (not available individually anywhere), then to send a picture of the model so he would know the model number even though I put the model number in the message AND it was the title of the original email, then he sent me an RMA request form PDF and said if the item was not complete they would send it back (obviously the entire problem was the missing RF hub, so friggin duh). Horrible and frustrating experience. Go with a bigger company with more of a reputation to defend, because these people clearly just don't care!

2 out of 5 eggsPrevious model was better

Pros: Excellent size while retaining the usual 10-key pad

Cons: The enter key is huge and the backspace key is half the size it should be. The previous model had a normal backspace/backslash/enter key layout, then they ruined it with this garbage.

Other Thoughts: Bring back the RF-6520!!

1 out of 5 eggsUnlucky

Pros: The box is printed with slick logos.

Cons: Right out of box it "Blue screen of deathed" two different PC at the moment of USB initialization. A third PC kept whining about USB voltage overload. I might investigate this on a more interesting gadget, but a keyboard? I got a RMA.

Other Thoughts: Thank you Newegg for the simple RMA process.

1 out of 5 eggsNOT Recommended

Pros: The keyboard is light yet solid.

Cons: I purchased this keyboard to use with my XBOX 360 for messaging, Netflix/Youtube searches, etc. The keyboard suffers from poor range and unintended duplicate key strokes. The wireless dongle was inserted in the back of the XBOX which is located about 7 feet from the keyboard. The keyboard kept losing contact with the signal and when it did function it was unsuable due to duplication of single key strokes. I moved the dongle to the front of the unit but there was no improvment in functionality.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is a great online retailer but they should discontinue selling products of such shoddy design. Save your time and money by avoiding this item.

1 out of 5 eggsBbadd Keyboard

Pros: Thin, Cheap. Wireless.

Cons: (I'm going to type the rest of this without editing the keyboards mistakes, I will edit my own typos)

Layout: We have a Print Screen Buttonn(whicch wwold be great if I were Harrison Ford in a Tom Clancy movie) a Pause/Break button, function key and a windowss-function button (I guess it's a right click for your keyboard).... but the BACKSPACE bar is a third of the size of th eEnter button. I hit the backslash more often than the backspace when I'm trying to delete something.

Tthhe wirllessss suckss... I type and nothing appears for a few seconds until the first few letters I type are doubled. Seriously, I let the keyboard mo\allfunctions in this review stand. At seemingly random moments, the keyboard will deciide to hang or double up.

Other Thoughts: Not all wireless keyboards are created equal.

/Returning this.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I'm using it from the couch, about 8 feet away from the receiver. The receiver is plugged into the back of a computer in a media cabinet. Still, it seems to work well without lost keystrokes.

Very comfortable for mousing (if that's your thing). Beats the $minor_expletive out of a trackpad, or $deity-forbid, that eraser thing.

Everything seemed to work (media keys, etc) out of the box on Fedora 16.

Cons: The ginormous enter-key makes me slightly annoyed that the backslash key has been relegated to some $deity-forsaken corner of the keyboard - far from any well-formed, non-alien pinky's reach.

Also, a couple more shortcut keys* would be nice (mail, media player (not just nav), etc).

* I know they're not called shortcut keys. I haven't a clue what they are called.

Other Thoughts: Slingblade was a pretty good movie.
