5 out of 5 eggsMy favorite keyboard

Pros: I have used this as my one and only keyboard for over 2 years for my 40+ hour week doing tech support working from home with constant text entry as well as personal use, heavy gaming etc. and I cannot stand any other keyboards. It is the most comfortable keyboard I have ever used in 20 years. Plus it has such minimal bezel that won't realize how much space you have been wasting on your desk without one, and you will not be able to live without the built in USB ports. Well worth the money

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It's also a great choice for someone who has always used laptops
I am going to buy a backup, heaven forbid they stop making them

5 out of 5 eggsThe best keyboard I have owned

Pros: - Price
- Sleek, modern design
- Solid construction
- Very nice feel
- Really like the typing experience
- Large "Backspace"
- Audio control on the keyboard

Cons: - Quite noisy (very subjective)
- Keys wobble in place (doesn't bother me)
- Not illuminated!! (BIG negative)
- "Music" key directly above "Backspace" so you'll keep hiting it (and opening a music player" until you train your muscle memory not to do that

Other Thoughts: I have been looking for a keyboard that would satisfy me my entire life. I have tried all of them - mechanical, rubber, with a wrist pad, without a wrist pad, compact, scissor switch, illuminated, high profile, smal "enter", large "enter", gaming, curved, office ... you name it. Only this one combines (almost) everything I wanted. The ONLY con for me specifically is that it is not illuminated. That's it. Other than that, gaming, typing is fantastic. No ghosting issue either.

4 out of 5 eggsNice, but not as nice as Apple A1243 :)

Pros: Very similar in overall feel, design, and spacing to the Apple wired Aluminum keyboard which this keyboard replaced. I prefer this ultra-slim ultra low-profile keystroke after using the Apple keyboard for so long. After 6 years, my old A1243 finally lost some key-responses (spilled soda?) and had to be replaced. This keyboard does not feel quite as solid, and the keypresses are not quite as soft on the downstroke as the Apple keyboard, but this is expected to degree because of different manufacturers. I knocked off an Egg only because of the slightly 'cheaper' feel to this unit vs the price of the unit. I would have expected something that overall felt a little more solid at this price. Generally speaking, I am very happy with this keyboard.

Cons: No major cons. Some observations of non-optimal behavior/appearance:
- As a few other reviewers noted, the keycaps do wear quickly. I have not worn decals from mine, but there are a number of keycaps that have worn shiny already.
- The High-intensity LED's are quite bright in a darkened room, enough to make for a distraction in a gaming situation. They are not painful though as some of these blue LEDs are in modern equipment.
- I was hoping for a bit better overall rigidity to the unit, especially at this price. I am not disappointed, just a bit surprised.
- The spacebar does not spring back as fast as a normal spacebar. If you type fast like I do, there are times when the spacebar is not returned to position before hitting it again, and sometimes leads to the space not registering on the screen, causing a stoppage and distraction. I suspect this a design weakness in the low-profile spacebar, and I did have some silliniess with this with one of my Apple keyboards too.

Other Thoughts: It will be interesting to see if this keyboard goes the distance like my Apple keyboards did. I bought this unit (2 actually) instead of the Apple keyboard since I have used those on a Windows PC since the day I unwrapped them. I really missed having an actual insert key (Apple has no insert key on the a1243 that maps to the Windows key).

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Reasonably quiet
- Sleek and minimal design

Cons: - Had to add a pad below the keyboard to increase wrist comfort

Other Thoughts: Recommended buy for users seeking a compact and nice looking keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent sleek keyboard!

Pros: I love the aluminum finish! The keyboard has a little weight to it which i like because it feels like a solid product instead of cheap plastics. The keys also have a good feel to them almost like laptop keys. I use this for fast twitch gaming such as quake and I need short/precise key-presses. I also love the two USB ports on each side of the keyboard to plug in my mouse or whatever else. This keyboard delivers!

Cons: It would be cool if they had this with illuminated keys. Other than that NO complaints!

1 out of 5 eggsLooks good, and that's all

Pros: Chiclet style keyboard
low profile
Closest you can get to a mac keyboard on a PC

Cons: Keys gets stuck (spacebar most notably) and will not pop back out unless the keyboard is shaken or tilted hard.

Other Thoughts: Waste of time and money. How on earth do you manufacture a keyboard with keys that gets stuck during the first hour of operation???

5 out of 5 eggsFavorite Keyboard

Pros: Perfect key travel, click and feedback. It's aluminum on top, much like the apple keyboard, but has a better click and travel.

Cons: None. I just hope they don't discontinue for some reason

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little keyboard

Pros: Great keyboard, snappy feeling keys, email, internet homepage, volume and other multimedia keys are convenient. Compact size with a full standard layout and NO over-sized enter or delete keys. Feels like Mac and laptop keys so if you switch back and forth, this will feel more natural than the full travel keys on most keyboards ('Chicklet' or chocolate bar keys).

Cons: About the only thing I would have preferred would be volume keys that would not require holding the Fn key, but then it might have been larger.

Other Thoughts: My fingers were getting 'confused' switching between keyboards and this one is the answer for me.
