5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: This is a fantastic keyboard for the price and I have found the following quite useful for any limited space scenario. Keys that are not frequented for me including number pad and the function keys are shrunk to make space for the useful ones. This little guy fits anywhere and does not feel cheap at all. This keyboard really shines in old keyboard trays(or even new ones for that matter) that are too small to actually house a mouse and a keyboard together properly.

Cons: I use key shortcuts regularly and some of the shortcut keys have interesting locations. This would not be a problem for your average person and It only took me a couple weeks to get used to it. The cord may be a downside if you move around too much as it seems quite thin and may rip out, however from dropping it twice and catching it by the cord it seems to stand up to my clumsiness quite well.

Other Thoughts: This is an ideal product for a small machine or one not in use constantly. I stand it up and stash it behind the monitor of my server screen when I do not need any inputs to avoid having any exploitable remote access to it.

2 out of 5 eggsCould easily be better

Pros: Small, cheap, not hideous to look at.

Cons: There is a useless FN key where the left Control key should be and no right Control key. Since the Linux kernel wouldn't even recognize this odd key so I could re-map it as a left control key I had to pry it out to keep my muscle memory from betraying me. If I only had 1 keyboard I'm sure I could retrain myself but I work on many keyboards all day long and this oddity is just annoying. I get a lot of missed keystrokes, but that may just be unfamiliarity and a weird hand position in this workspace. But I think it is the keyboard. The other weird thing is that there is a Home key where I expect to find my Backspace key, so when I mistype and try to correct it I end up at the beginning of the line. Conventions exist for a reason.

Other Thoughts: It set me looking for another cheap mini keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsGear Head KB1700 Small Wonder

Pros: Plug -N-Play no problem. Small footprint. The key feel is OK with definition of movement. AND Price is right.
Because of limited pull-out shelf width I needed a key board without the useless 10 key sideboard. Now I have room for Trackball and pen-pad for graphics.

Cons: Like a laptop/notebook the key placement takes some getting use to, but that is a matter of time surly.

Other Thoughts: For a couple of $ more put a USB port on the back side for a small light or whatever.
